We very much enjoyed our stay at the Bali Hai condo. The unit was clean, roomy, and the resort was very convenient to Hanalei Bay. The only downside was a hard sales pitch for a time share presentation during check-in. Other than this, we enjoyed the amenities including the pools and food trucks. We would definitely return!

Very nice, large apartment with all comforts and facilities, recent and rather upscale. The apartment is located in a resort, which itself is located next to other communities and forms a relatively large part of Princeville. All very comfortable and very quiet, with interesting small towns nearby and ready access to amazing nature. Our kids are all grown up and we are an active family, and so we did not really need the facilities of the resort such as the pools - but we did enjoy them and the apartment was a great base to come back to at the end of the day. Food shopping available nearby was certainly a plus. For families with smaller kids who might not venture much on more serious trails or less accessible beaches this would make even more sense. Great accommodation - would certainly go back again.

This is a great place to stay if you have kids with the 2 pools and amenities. I was with my 30 year old son & we would have liked a bit more quiet time.
Wasn't aware air conditioning was not included & another $20 per day. We were fine with the windows open as far as comfort but as far as noise level - off the charts so we had to close them.
Regarding noise level we had two different sets of guests above us (we were first floor) & just normal activities like walking, showering and flushing the toilet were extremely loud and would wake you up or keep you up.
Our unit wasn't ready at 4pm & just got pretty much an "oh well" from owners. This was after a very long day of traveling from Charlotte NC. It took them an hour (the resort will say 55 minutes) for it to be cleaned. We sat there falling asleep in the lobby until 4:30 before we decided to just go into Kauai. I feel some sort of compensation should have been due, even, hey, we'll buy you dinner for your inconvenience. I have a home I rent on here & that's absolutely what I would have done. Or we'll give you free ac.
Also was told we were upgraded to a Presidential suite and I'm pretty sure that was not a Presidential suite. If that was a Presidential suite call me Kate. Reading other reviews on here the presidential suite include ac which we were not afforded.
Food trucks on property were a great amenity too that we utilized.
If we stayed again would most definitely ask for a 2nd floor unit & pay the extra $20

The property is well maintained and the grounds are beautiful. The pools were ver nice, as was the BBQ area. I object, however, to having to pay extra for air conditioning, which forces you to either pay $20 per day (plus taxes), or leave windows/sliding lanai doors open. Given that there are many roosters on the property, you will wake up at dawn if you leave the windows/lanai doors open.

We decided to take the kiddos for a spring break adventure on Kauai and stumbled on this rental. The location, amenities, and the price could not be any better. We all enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again if ever on Kauai. 5-stars!

The VRBO homepage did not indicate that A/C would be charged in the amount of 20$ per night. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay at the resort.

Our condo was in a beautiful area of Princeville. We did enough both of the property pools in the afternoons and evenings. The spas were crowded at night. Unfortunately, the condo needed some upgrades. I was not a fan of the individual room air condioners that were an extra fee per day. All fees should be included in the VRBO price listed online. I would have loved to see it really equipped for 6 people. There were 4 deck chairs, not enough extra bedding provided for couch bed, and no extra pantry staples in kitchen (except salt/pepper & bags). Overall a pleasant stay but really better for a family of 3-4 maximum.

This unit was probably the cleanest I have ever experienced at a Kauai rental. Front desk was amazing with easy check in and the pool is actually warm, super kid friendly. This place is a great option for families with younger kids.

We enjoyed staying....the condo was spacious and had some fans. Very warm days would opt for the ac next time. The condo is on the north side of the island so lots of long drives to see the sights on the south side. Traffic took has an hour each time. Also it's a time share property which will try to give you the pitch... didn't like that and think they should not be using Vrbo to do so

We had issue after issue with the unit and the customer service. Unit was dirty. We had to clean it. Used soap left behind on shower, wine stained carpet, holes in carpet, gum stuck to side of master bed night stand, stepped on a screw left behind, dirty socks and paper behind couch. Tvs stopped working after power outage and breaker had to be flipped to get spare bedroom power functioning. No biggie there but then cable boxes had to be replaced..since they werent functional then a few days later the tv in the master stopped displaying video so maintenance had to replace it. Towel service takes all day/night and they dont give you enough for the number of guests. For a family of 5 we got 4. When we asked for more it was an issue for them. They’ll say they will send it right over but you just need to be prepared it isnt timely and set your expectations for that. We ended up just washing our pool and shower towels. One front desk person was especially unkind. Housekeeping came to measure the curtains in all rooms unannounced the day before we checked out… they could have waited a day instead of interrupting our lunch. Pool was closed after big storm as well. That was understandable. But on top of all the fees paid through vrbo (hundreds and hundreds) there is another resort fee you pay. Id like some of these refunded for all the hassle. I have a list of all issues, days, number of calls, etc.

Layout of 2 bed, 2 bath ideal. very clean. pools, hot tubs, grills and overall facilities were nice and convenient. Main level units experienced some noise from upstairs, but not too bad. Wish there were some more basic essentials in the place. Salt, pepper, tp, paper towels, dawn dish soap were just a 1-2 day supply, so you had to go shop for all the tiny things when on vacation. We stayed 2 weeks. It was overall great and would stay again.

We had a lovely stay. The only hiccup was at check-in. Our unit's carpets were completely saturated/wet. The front desk cleaned another unit for us. They were very accommodating.

Spectacular Condo
Once we arrived the check in process was a breeze. The concierge was very helpful with places to go and places to eat. The condo was spacious, clean, and air conditioning had just been put in right before we got there so that was a major plus. The kitchen was big enough to cook in and it had some bar seating behind the counter. The bathrooms were spacious and the jacuzzi tub was big enough for two adults. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would absolutely recommend this condo. Aloha and Mahalo!

Overall we had a great stay. Amazing atea in North shore. Nice temperature in the rooms. Very comfortable. Just need to replace the hair dryer snd shower curtain. Also the neighbors above were quite noisy.

Clean and comfortable condo

The property is quite nice. The condo was adequately equipped and comfortable. We used the pool area furthest from the reception area and were happy with the activities available.
We really have no gripes at all about the property!
Having not been to this island before, we weren’t quite sure what to expect. Our preference is to be a little closer to town and within walking distance to some of the local restaurants and activities. This property is in a well maintained and manicured subdivision, which is beautiful, but not quite our speed.
We didn’t mind the lack of air conditioning since we like the fresh island breezes that come through. But, EVERYONE has their windows open, so be prepared to know your neighbors business ;)

Very nice property. Nice quiet ambience.
Overall we had a nice time but the weather didn’t cooperate which kept us inside more than originally planned. The condo was comfortable and had enough room for all of us. The only downside was the front desk did not have the details correct. I checked in on 3/22 and they had me checking out on 3/24 versus 3/29. We sorted it out. There was more pressure to attend the time share presentation then I was comfortable with. In fact my wife was told she couldn’t get our parking pass until she signed up for one of the presentations. Plus there was a call each morning until I asked to stop.

Relaxing stay!
Very nice property. Nicer than the pictures. But know that it is a large timeshare complex, so not a typical VRBO with games/books/beach equipment in the home. In fact, when we arrived at the front desk we had actually been booked in three different units throughout our 9 night stay. Fortunately the front desk was helpful in getting us into one unit that we could stay in for the entire time as if I had to move x 2 on my vacation, I would have been very upset (especially b/c that was not explained when I booked). Unit was very comfortable and equipped for cooking most meals at home. BBQ at pool. I've seen that some complained of the timeshare sellers 'pushiness'. I was expecting much worse. We were asked only 2-3x on the first and second day. May have helped that we didn't use the concierge desk for much.

Very nice!
Very nice and clean. Beds were not super comfortable. We were worried about no air conditioning but it was not a problem at all. This unit is downstairs and a bit noisy with visitors upstairs! The complex itself was very nice, clean and quiet.
