Nos encantaría tener sus próximas vacaciones en el South Star. Esta unidad final, en el primer piso, ofrece espectaculares vistas al océano y está a solo unos pasos de la piscina o la playa. ¡Haz tu elección!
El patio tiene vistas directas al mar y un nuevo conjunto de patios, así como una silla de descanso antigravedad. También tenemos un crucero de playa en el patio para su uso si desea recorrer los numerosos senderos de la zona o simplemente recorrer la playa un poco más rápido de lo que permite el acceso a pie.
La unidad ofrece un dormitorio con una nueva cama tamaño queen, dos "literas para las tripulaciones" con dos literas integradas en el pasillo (con rieles de seguridad para la cama sin cargo adicional) y un nuevo sofá cama en la sala familiar así como el sillón reclinable eléctrico (las actualizaciones de los muebles de la sala familiar se basaron en los comentarios de los clientes porque su experiencia es importante). También tenemos dos sillas divertidas para niños para los más pequeños, les puedo decir por experiencia que trabajan para divertirse (mucho lol giratorio) y para que los niños se relajen y rockeen después de un día en la playa.

We had an amazing stay at Julie's place. It fit our family's needs beyond perfectly and we will definitely be returning. The washer/dryer helped immensely as we were able to pack less for our three-year-old and ourselves. The proximity to the ocean made it extremely easy to come on and off the beach as needed. The pool right behind the property was our daughter's favorite part. Julie is a wonderfully responsive and helpful host. Stay here!

Great place to stay for a family of 4. The location can’t be beat. It’s basically on the beach. Quiet private section of the beach. The condo was furnished with everything we needed to cook dinner every night. Would definitely stay here again.

This property is exactly as described. Super clean. Literally a stones throw to the beach - easy getting our things on and off the beach - would be great for families with littles or older family members (on ground floor). The kitchen is well fitted, TV in living room and bedroom for late night winding down. It was just my husband and I, but we even made use of the sand bucket in the well stocked beach closet. we had no issues and did not need to contact the owner, but when we left she thanked us for our stay and wished us a safe trip - I feel if we had needed to contact her, she would have been prompt. It was the first time we have been to Kure Beach and we loved the area, a trip to Southport via the ferry is a MUST. Next time we will plan our stay a little better as we didn't get to visit long, but we loved our stay and are already planning a second trip.

We stayed at South Star for 4 nights with two adults, a toddler, and two kids under 9. The toddler fit easily in his pack n play in the bedroom with us. The other kids slept very comfortably in the bunk beds (I wanted to steal their beds because those new mattresses on the bunks were so comfortable - took a wonderful nap in the bottom bunk myself one day). The newly renovated bathroom was very nice. The shower is large and water was hot. The AC kept the condo perfectly cold. We ate most of our meals at the condo, even used the outdoor grill one night. This unit was so easy being on the first floor, the kids enjoyed playing in the sand right outside the patio. The beach and pool were steps away, and neither ever felt crowded. The pool was perfect for our kids, going from 3 ft to 5 ft. The beach was not very “big” as in you don’t have to walk across a mile of hot sand to get to the water. And the waves were fairly gentle and the sand not too rocky or full of shells. Plenty of crabs to hunt at night with a flashlight. We visited the USS North Carolina battleship one day, and the aquarium another day. The aquarium is on the smaller side, we only spent less than two hours there but it is nice for getting out of the sun. If we’d had more days we would’ve gone into Southport for a day. Overall, South Star met all of our needs for a wonderful vacation. Thank you for sharing your condo with us!

We have stayed at many different condos at different beaches over the years, and this may just be the best one. We usually try a different beach each year, but this one might become our go to. Julie is the best host I have ever dealt with. So quick to respond to any question, not to mention, anything you may need during your stay is already provided. The place was clean, very nice, and right on the beach, which is a must for me. I fell in love with the small town feel of Kure Beach since we really don't care for the crowds. I really don't have anything bad to say about it. Go there! I'm hoping it's available when we're ready to go back to the beach. I really can't gush about Julie enough either, such a pleasure.

We stayed at the South Star for the Fourth Annual Please Island Jeep Jam. The location was perfect for the Fort Fisher Rec Area and the 4x4 Beach. The condo was clean and updated. The tile in the shower is beautiful! Loved that there was a box fan available. We enjoyed our stay.

This property checked all the boxes. I (32f) and my friend (65f) had an absolutely perfect time. The pool not only is stunning and very clean, but the deck offers great views of the ocean without having to walk in the sand. The beach is literally steps away. We spent way too much time searching all of the awesome shells and enjoying the very private area. The unit was perfect. Updated appliances, tons of storage and sleeping areas, a wonderful patio that stepped out to offer direct access to the pool and ocean. Views of the ocean from the living room, having all of the appliances available, a grill, chairs for the beach as well as boogie boards, books to read, extra blankets and pillows, all of these things made our trip that much more enjoyable. The aquarium was just down the street as well, along with beautiful walking paths with oceanfront views. The bathroom was large and very clean, the shower was updated and refreshing after a day in the sun. Nice bars and restaurants are right down the strip, and everyone we met was incredibly friendly. 10/10 would absolutely stay again.

We went down to stay for our 46th anniversary and was very impressed with the condo. We kept looking for the condo but didn't realize that the front door wasn't facing the road but instead on the side next to the neighbor. After that everything was a breeze. It has everything you need, just bring your food and settle in. The Southport ferry is just 1 mile up the road and down the road a few miles is a really good restaurant, Jack Michaels. The condo is at the very end of the housing area and has excellent hiking and biking trails so plan accordingly. I would stay there again and I'm very picky.

This was our 2nd stay at the South Star. We absolutely love this Condo. Being on the ground floor is a plus for us. The decor, cleanliness and overall feel of the place is amazing. Access to the beach and the pool is a very short walk. Julie is amazing. She answered all of our questions and personalizes it just for you. Our 2nd of many trips to her place.

This condo made for a fantastic family trip! Having the beach and a pool right out the back door was exactly what we needed. Close to a lovely aquarium and the boardwalk in Carolina Beach. Would highly recommend to any small family looking for the perfect home.away from home.

The property is at a great location. Fort Fisher area is right beside you which offers walking trails and historical education. The point near the ferry is amazing for sunsets. The condo was nice and the view was as advertised. I would recommend to the owner to install a dehumidifier. The condo was damp and musty and that would be resolved easy. The parking was very convenient to the condo. This made for easy unloading and loading. The beach is very nice. We didn’t see any problem with the tides. During high tide the beach directly in front of the complex is covered however it’s a short walk down the beach to have all the room you need. Overall we were happy we chose this place.

Julie was a great host, answering questions in a timely manner. We went for a wedding and it was close and convenient to the property. Huge bonus of being at the end of the beach so not many people. Overall great experience!

We came down for a getaway and for the Wilmington craft and cuisine fest. This location was great for both and the closeness to Fort Fisher. My child loves the bunk beds and we loved the back porch. Host was great. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night!

First, at our age(s), we were thrilled not to have to lug our stuff and groceries up any stairs! Pretty nice view of the ocean, and pretty quiet except for upstairs unit getting reno. The flooring people worked most of the night one night.

This condo was the one in the last condos going south from Kure Beach. It was super easy to get to both Kure and Carolina Beach, and did not take long to drive to those areas. We were happy that the entrance did not require stairs, and the access to the beach was only about four stairs- something very important for my elderly mother who was along with me. I was surprised the beach was not wider at this location, but it was fascinating to watch and listen to the powerful waves crash on the shore. If you want to be right by the water, this is the place for you. We enjoyed the large patio, and the unit was spacious, with everything we needed in the kitchen (including new appliances) and elsewhere. There were only two of us, but the bunks were twin bed size mattresses, perfect for kids. The patio screens could use some fixing, but overall this was a perfect unit for us!

Just was not what pictures or description led to believe. Unit was warm, wouldn’t go below 69. Black out curtains would be nice hard to sleep with street lamps never mind after sunrise. Beach is minimal for short periods. This is due to tides but even when tide is out not much beach is exposed. Pool was in horrible shape. Property manager explained hurricane Ian had done some damage to it. We arrived on a Saturday it was disgusting. Someone started working on it Tuesday. I understand not getting in pool water but lounging on the deck would have been nice especially with lack of beach area. Weather was great & amenities to help enjoy it would have been even greater. Nothing personal against The Riggings at Kure Beach. Used to Mount Pleasant/Isle of Palms area. Friends said we’d love this area just as much if not more. That was not the case. Too many children and too little beach to share. Next fall back to Isle of Palms.

The init we stayed in was fine, mostly clean and nice. The issue is the beach. Large sandbags are in front of unit to hold back the ocean and most days there is no beach at all. So people from that condo complex move a bit north on the beach and it becomes very crowded. At that area the beach is very narrow and there are rocks that surface.
If you are going, write down the number of your unit and the code. There is no internet service there until you get in the unit and sign in.

The condo is just as listed. This is our second stay in this unit. It’s ground level, so it’s easy to get to- no stairs!! The erosion control sandbags are still visible everywhere, but are slowly being consumed by the dunes. When the dune grasses are mature, it will look very nice.
The weather was superb, & the ocean breezes were appreciated on the hotter days. The condos new appliances are a great upgrade over the old ones from last year.
The only downside was the amount of jelly fish in the ocean. Last year, there were none. This year, every member of our party were stung multiple times. I will research this before I book my next stay. This is something the property manager can’t fix, it’s just nature.

Absolutely Amazing!
My family and I had an amazing time while staying here. Everything was absolutely beautiful. The view of the ocean is absolutely the best, such an amazing view! Checking in was easy and Julie was a pleasure to anwser any questions we had. The location was perfect. Not too far from resturants/shops but far enough away from crowds were you were able to enjoy peace, quite, and relaxation! We truly had a wonderful week staying at the Southstar- we definitely look forward to visiting again in the future! Thanks Julie for such a great experience!😊

Beach week
My family of 5 stayed here for a week. We enjoyed the area and we liked the apartment. It was big enough. The appliances were new and the space was fine. However, the complex has a massive roach problem. We did see a few in our apartment, and outside on the patio they would be streaming after dark. Not the owner's fault, but you should know. I was afraid we'd bring them home in our stuff.
One other issue was the apartment stays very damp. So towels never dry and your skin always feels wet. They need a dehumidifier or something attached to the AC system, I guess.
The big bed was fine, but the twin beds weren't comfortable and the sofa bed was terrible. This may influence your choices if you are traveling with anyone over 40 pounds.
Beach vacations have gotten ridiculously expensive, so this was a good option for the money. Ultimately, we would never stay here again.

You Won’t Regret Your Stay!
My husband and I stayed here with our 4 boys! We had an absolute blast! The house was just as listed and Julie had great communication! Julie went above and beyond when she mailed a medical item we had accidentally left! I can whole heartedly say we will stay here again! Book your stay! You won’t regret it!

Nice quiet location.
We really enjoyed or stay at Kure Beach . The condo was clean and filled with everything we needed. The view of the ocean was blocked somewhat due to the sandbags The beach was different from any we have visited before but still enjoyable. The Fort Fisher Park, aquarium and ferry to Southport are located close by.

Beach and fishing
This place was awesome. The private beach right behind the condos was just a few steps away. Hearing the waves at night was so peaceful and calming.
The shore and pier fishing both produced. Cape fear river to the west was another great option when the surf was rough. Ate fresh fish every day.

South Star Retreat
We totally enjoyed our week at South Star. It had everything that we needed for a relaxing getaway from upstate New York's snowy Spring. It was exactly like the pictures presented, with clean and comfortable spaces, very comfortable beds, and well equipped kitchen. It is near historic Fort Fisher, the ferry to Southport, the NC Aquarium, and nice beaches. The bike riding is very enjoyable here, with a pretty good shoulder. Julie was wonderful, helping us when needed! We can't wait to come back again, hopefully next March.

Ocean view and wonderful!
We loved our stay! Our family of 5 was very comfortable here. The condo is roomy enough for people to move around, and having a patio where the kids could play out in the grass and sandy picnic area was perfect. The new appliances were a highlight of the condo! The kids enjoyed the tvs and crew bunks. The queen bed was very comfy. The beach has unique coquina formations which are so fun to explore at low tide.

Nice property, didn’t love the location
We enjoyed our stay. The property was clean and plenty of room for our family of six. Julie was a great communicator. The area of town was okay but the location on the beach we didn’t care fir. A lot of rocks that kept my kids from being able to use their body boards. And the property has hundreds of huge sandbags that keep you from a great beach view or easy access to the beach, depending on the tide. This obviously is needed for the protection of the properties but really diminishes the “beach” feel. And that is not something the property manager can do anything about, I realize but I wanted to make mention for anyone else looking. I would have liked a heads up about that myself. We still had a great stay. The kids loved the aquarium 5 min from the condo. Thanks!
