Very home like beach atmosphere. It was like staying at family home. Like a relatives house. The decor was so beachy and the view impecable. Owner was very accomadating and easy to contact. Overall experience was amazing. We hope to go back over and over again if time and money allow.

This is a unique property, thanks to the natural dune formations on both the north and south sides of the house and the landscaping on the west side. The home has a feeling of seclusion and privacy - a rare find in a beach rental. We were a large group of grandparents, parents and children, so we especially appreciated how easy it was to find a favorite place during the afternoon thunderstorm. Grandparents could enjoy the upstairs porch in quiet while the children played ping pong on the west side screen porch. The house is decorated with hand painted ceramics, interesting framed photography, and original paintings that make it a classic one of a kind. It has not been updated, which was fine by us, but may not suit some. The sea kayaks were great! There was a manta ray to watch and tag after most every first low tide of the day. And dolphins, and even manatees. Our family, all three generations, enjoyed our stay! Thank you, Rhyne!

Wonderful location. Expansive facility with many common areas. It is an older property with "character" and perhaps some would say that it would benefit if there were to be some modern updates. All in all, a great private location on the beach. Our stay was in early January, so it was a little too cool to take full advantage of the beach and pool.

We had an amazing time all being under one roof for the holiday. The weather did not cooperate so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoors as much as we wanted to but the house was big enough to gather indoors and enjoy each other.

This was our second year spending time at the Cannon Home. A beautiful old Florida estate that had everything we needed for our multi generational group. Plenty of high chairs, pack and plays, comfortable beds, games, tvs, beach toys, pool floats, beach chairs, kayaks, boogie boards, …. Incredible back porch overlooking the ocean with lots of relaxing rocking chairs and a huge picnic table for outdoor dining. The pool was fantastic with a fountain you won’t believe…really gorgeous. Nice shallow area for the little kids to play in too. The beach was five star fantastic! It was like we had our own private beach and we were even there over a holiday weekend! We found a lot of sharks teeth…but did leave some for the rest of you! TVs all worked and we watch the US Open and college football. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, bowls, Tupperware…everything. The owner Rhyne, is an artist who makes pieces of pottery that are absolutely beautiful. There are pieces of her work all through out this comfortable home. We loved our stay and look forward to the next time we can return to Beach Nirvana.

Great property- as advertised. Plenty of room for a large family as the house is very comfortable and well stocked. The beach is big and wide with plenty of privacy! The owner is very engaged and gracious. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

This is a wonderful old beach house with fabulous views of the ocean!!! It is very tastefully decorated. It was perfect for our family of 11. There is plenty of room to spread out and there are plenty of beds. We love being able to stay at a house that is right on the beach. There is a beautiful pool as well. We had a wonderful time at our favorite place to vacation!

Rhyne was a great host. Plenty of towels and the kitchen was stocked with everything needed. The beach was very private along with the beautiful lot. Rhyne has quite a green thumb the garden around the pool is awesome. The porches were a great gathering place for everyone.

Great overall experience. Rhyne and his teach were easy to work with and went out of the way to make sure we had a terrific experience. This property also is terrific with tons of game, kayaks, and other things to do. It’s also situated on a quiet portion of Ponte Vedra beach and nestled in between trees given you the feeling of your own private beach!

The location of this idyllic home is perfect. Beach, porches and views. What is not apparent from the reviews and pictures is the uniqueness of the topography of this home. As you tootle along Ponte Vedra Boulevard, past bloated moorish castles built in the 80’s, you stop at a scruffy white fence with wild roses. No palace gates. The property is deep and wide with abundant trees and two large mounds that protect the house from wind and provide incredible privacy from walkers on the beach and neighbors. When you lounge on the upper porch you see nature and ocean. It is incredible. Our party of 11 left only to walk the beach and replenish wine and food for 12 days. The house has endured many decades of guests with ease. I like to think we experienced Florida as folks did in a slower, more civilized world. Cheers

Rhyne was a great host. Being an VRBO host for years, I thought she checked all the boxes to be a fabulous host. She communicated very well and just enough. The check-in process was smooth and smooth. The house is a great spot to gather quite a few friends and really enjoy the Atlantic and beach living.

This house was a perfect fit for our group of 12 (four couples and four teens). Everyone had their own bed and bathroom. The location on the beach was private but close to everything we needed. The house is historic with plenty of old Florida charm, plus all the creature comforts you will need for a good time. The owner was a good communicator. We loved it!

My wife rented this house for my family, so that we could get all three families together. All of us have varying interests that usually make selecting a home for the week difficult. Fortunately this house has something for everyone.
Once we arrived, we were greeted with an amazing home placed on a stretch of beach cut out of a postcard setting of serenity and beauty. The owner made sure no detail was overlooked. In fact, she left a handwritten note welcoming us with a nice bottle of wine. From restaurant recommendations to detailed history of the house, the owner made sure she shared the special qualities the house had to offered.
We spent all week on the beach or in the pool utilizing an array of recreational amenities such as floats, kayaks etc the house had to offer. There was nothing lacking. We watched dolphins, schools of fish, various birds of prey (feeding in the same tree everyday) and even watched for sea turtles.
The house had two comfortable family areas and 6 bedrooms all with their own bathrooms that allowed for our families to congregate when wanted and escape when necessary. The kitchen was a bit dated but had everything needed for making meals and creating memories.
In summary, the house and location are perfect for a wonderful multi family vacation, and the owner’s responsiveness and desire to please make it a place no one in your party will ever forget.

We are a group of 8 ladies who have been friends for 23 years. We started as a playgroup when our children were babies. We have 23 kids between us. We have rented a beach house every summer for the past 21 years. This house was awesome for our group... extremely spacious, a little quirky and just delightful all around. The porches and beach access are the best ever. Hope to return again!!

Stepping into Rhyne's house evoked memories of Old Florida. The high ceilings, spacious rooms, balconies and porches overlooking the ocean reminded one how life on the beach was to be lived. Now brought up to date, beautifully decorated, and extremely clean, this grand house was a lovely setting for our family reunion. The beds were very comfortable and the towels very plush. Even though our arrival came with bad weather, the large enclosed porch area allowed "outdoor" play and quick dips into the pool. I would highly recommend this rental to anybody.

It is the perfect place for a family gathering or multiple family vacation. Plenty of space to spread out. It was the perfect way to celebrate my parents' 50th anniversary!! This property is amazing! It's loaded with charm and character and the size and layout were perfect for our large group. The location is absolutely incredible and the views are stunning. We enjoyed our days at the beach just steps away from the house and late afternoons by the private pool. The house was stocked with everything we needed and the shops and restaurants were close by. Rhyne was wonderful! She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. This was definitely our favorite VRBO stay to date. Can't wait to go back!

A group of 10 adults arrived from the UK to attend our elder son's wedding in St Augustine and spent 8 nights at the property. It was perfect for us with lots of space and comfortable facilities and plenty big enough for us to host a Rehearsal Dinner (or Buffet !!) on the friday evening before the wedding. The pool was in great demand and any small problem was dealt with by Rhyne who was also prompt in returning the security deposit

My family of 12 adults stayed in this beautiful home the week prior to my son's wedding in Jacksonville Beach. We loved this home that was filled with amenities and a stunning garden. We also hosted a Rehearsal Dinner on Friday and enjoyed the grand view. The front veranda was perfect for our party of 40, plus a steel drum player. The event was beautiful and enjoyed by all. I will definitely try to rent this lovelly home again. Rhyne was very attentive to our needs.

Our family came from Colorado, North Dakota and Georgia to gather at this lovely beach home for a birthday celebration - 10 adults and 4 children. It was a wonderful setting! We spent many hours around the pool surrounded by beautiful gardens. The front patio was perfect for relaxing, talking, gazing at the ocean and eating on the large picnic table. One evening we made a low country boil and served it in beautiful platters made by Rhyne - the owner. Her pottery bowls were used daily for our serving dishes.
Some spent lazy afternoons on the patio reading in the double hammock, others went kayaking in the ocean kayaks Rhyne provided. Everyone enjoyed swimming in the pool - especially the children - ages 2, 4,6 and 7. The ocean was steps away and when we were not at the pool, we were looking for shells, making drip castles, walking or flying kites on the beach.
The beds and bedding were very comfortable and the bedrooms were spread out in such a way that made you feel you had your own private area of the house when sneaking away for a quick nap.

We rented this home for 4 families (8 adults, 7 kids/teens) in late July/early Aug and it was perfect. So much larger than I expected, and with room for everyone to spread out -- we never felt crowded. Beach was wonderful and the house is stocked with plenty of chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, etc. Ping pong, foosball and board games were an additional bonus. Pool was beautiful. Grocery stores are nearby and St. Augustine is a short drive away. Can't say enough about the house and Rhyne's attentiveness! Highly recommend!

Our family of 8 adults and 6 children under 5 just spent a week at this lovely home. This was our fifth year at Ponte Vedra and this was by far the most enjoyable and convenient home we have encountered. It is built for families, with all the amenities of home. The six bedrooms all have ensuite baths with comfortable beds, most were queen size or larger. The kitchen was filled with all the wares and appliances you could wish for. The views of the ocean from all the rooms was very special.
The pool was wonderful and fit for young kids because the depth was about 5.5 feet. The landscaping around the pool was meticulous.
The owner and her cleaning staff were first class. Every question was addressed immediately and with true professionalism. Rhyne, the owner, could have not been more welcoming. She is truly a diamond in the rough. We have already signed up for next year and look forward to another terrific week. You can't go wrong with this wonderful home.
