Location to beach and anything you want to do is ideal. The house itself is perfect, pool, view, everything. I would definitely stay at Carolina Cottage again and recommend it as a great rental! Very nicely maintained property. Several blocks from beach access (about a 10 min walk). Lots of deck space and a much enjoyed hot tub. Pool was not available (out of season) but is very small--something one would lounge in or splash around for very small children. Kitchen was well appointed and room layout was good with all BRs having direct bathroom access. There were lots of TVs--almost overkill. Small pool table was a fun bonus as were books and games. There is a lot of beachfront and ocean view from the top deck and family room. Home was spotless, but truly stripped of any kitchen and bath consumables (toilet paper, paper towels, spices, shelf-stable food, etc.) so bring what you need or be ready to go shopping. There is some road noise in the back part of the house, but more like white noise. Overall recommended property.

What a clean, tidy, and inviting home! Easy walk (<5min via a well-worn backyard trail) to the beach and on very friendly neighborhood streets. Everything inside the house was terrific and comfortable. And watching sunrise/sunset from the top floor/deck was great. Cannot overstate how organized and well-supplied the kitchen was! We visited too early in the season to use the pool- but it sure looked clean and inviting! Our only slight discomfort- and it's no fault of the owner/mgmt company (who were all great!)- would be the road noise. Thankfully, a nice long driveway allowed for some play under the carport and easy dog-potty-walks. Overall, we'd gladly rent Carolina Cottage again!

This was a great place for our family vacation. My kids are grown and don’t all live near me so we were able to spend great quality time together. Easy walk to the beach and then would come back and spend time by the pool. We grilled a few times which was also great. Very clean house and the property management company was quick to respond to us. We would definitely stay here again!

We had two adult couples and two children (6 people) staying in the house and there was plenty of room. We also took our two dogs. Having the pool table, the pool and hot tub was really nice! There is also another refrigerator on the bottom level with the pool table which was very helpful and convenient. The house was clean. There was a decent amount of pool and beach toys, chairs and umbrellas to use if needed. It needed a little maintenance Here and there. The hammock out by the pool was falling apart and there were some light bulbs that needed replaced inside and on some of the balconies. I also had to call to request for the lawn to be mowed. Since the fenced in area by the pool has no grass I had to walk my dogs for potty breaks and their small dogs. the grass was taller than them. In one of the bedrooms on the second level, the one with its own bathroom, no the jack and Jill bathroom, had no closet space because they were locked with the owners stuff which was inconvenient for the people staying in that room. The walk to the beach wasn’t too far. Took about 5-10 minutes. There’s a path behind the house the gets you pretty close. The driveway is directly off of the main highway which at first I was a little concerned about just because that highway is so busy but the driveway is long enough you feel safe and we got used to it. You can hear some road noise in the room on that side of the house but if you bring a box fan it covers it up for the most part. All and all it was a good place with nice amenities and extras. I would stay there again.

Pool and Hot Tub cleaned 7:30 am on day of arrival and they cane back mid week and were at house at 8:30 morning we left, mowing service there on Friday so was in great shape when we came and for next family. The kitchen has everything needed to make dinner at home. We love the area and the many activities to do with the kids. The house is off the primary high way in Outer Banks, which makes the room load at night time, besides that the home is perfect.
We are planning to go again soon!
