Location was great. Not far from anything we wanted to do. Very clean. The balcony was great to sit on at night. Beautiful views. Host was wonderful.

For anyone that is looking at the negative reviews which is natural, disregard anything less than 8/10. As for the things that they mentioned: extra charges, train passing, lay out of the place, or lack of things to do in the area- read reviews, do your research, don't stay if you can't afford it. Do Not blame Diana. You're not a victim, you wouldn't have been happy anywhere. The train totally out of her control, besides it was entertaining everytime it went past day or night. I knew it was a small town in the middle of nowhere. A Big win for me. The place was clean and well maintained, I'll pay extra for that. Diana and her son were very friendly and quickly responded to every text. I used the outside grill, the patio, & washer/dryer, very convenient and well taken care of. Diana, thank you for allowing us to use your place for the week. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the place, especially the small private deck out back watching all the things going on in the river right there.

Dianna was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay a lot. The sunsets from large deck were spectacular and we could see the stars so clearly at night. Beautiful area and so convenient to the bike trails.

Came to view beautiful Ohiopyle State Park and it did not disappoint. Natural slides are indeed something to be seen although we did not try. Tried e biking from proprietor In Confluence - great fun. Hiking is as simple or a challenging as you need. Lots of trains to view too. Apartment was perfect. Enjoyed Tissue coffee shop and Anchor In

The view was wonderful. The apartment was exactly as described. The train was an issue but it was made very clear in the listing. The train would be the only reason I wouldn’t stay there again. Property was great!

Very nice 2nd floor apartment with beautiful river view. Very clean. There is no separate living room but master bedroom has nice sitting area with tv and Roku streaming numerous channels. The property is very well maintained. I did not notice the trains because my primary home is near train tracks also. But sealed ear plugs are provided. My friends brought a white noise machine. We visited Falling Water, Ohiopyle State Park, Laurel Caverns and also fit in some shopping. We stayed 3 nights and barely touched upon all there is to do in the area. Great time. Would definitely come again.

Our room was very clean. The beds were great. Wish there was a comfy sitting area but we enjoyed sitting outside. Diana was very responsive and super nice to deal with.

Great place with a BEAUTIFUL view. Wish it had a dedicated indoor sitting area but that would be my only recommendation and it didn’t take away from our stay. Troy was so helpful and personable. Met great people and was super relaxing. Would highly recommend!!

Sun & Solitude
Brian’s father died and he asked for nature and silence. This space made us both happy. There is no nightlife (seemed like everything was closed by 6 p.m) and no traffic in front of the house. Watched the sun rise/set and walked the neighborhood. We would definitely return.

Loved it
The place was perfect. No complaints. Great location. People in town were very friendly. It's an older town but the VRBO was all up to date and we felt very safe. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful view!
Second time staying here...always super clean! The deck with chairs/loungers are just perfect for relaxing while enjoying the view of the rivers. The hammocks below just make it so great to relax and take a nap! There are trains that run on other side of the street. I truly enjoy hearing them, but they can wake you at night. There are less trains at night and they don't blow horn as much, which Diana can't control, but she provides ear plugs in each room if you need them to sleep! We had no problem sleeping without them. Plus this place is within walking distance The Tissue Farm for coffee and fresh baked goods and the gas station which has food. We also walked across the foot bridge to the island where there's an antique store and cafe we ate at for dinner (FYI-they like you to have reservations). Plus the lake is a few minute drive away, which has a beach area with swimming and can put in a boat or bring own kayaks. There the Outflow and a pizza shop in town. AND Ohiopyle State Park is just 20 minutes away plus Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater & Kentuck Knob Houses and more....but this property is in a perfect place to get to lots of things to do!

River View
Let's start with the host - Diana. She was warm, welcoming, helpful and friendly. Thanks, Diana. We appreciated your hospitality. The place was immaculate and very well appointed. There was even Netflix :-). The location was perfect for us; minutes from the bike trail, a five minute drive to the lake, within walking distance of a mini mart, right on the river with river view as advertised. There was nothing we needed that wasn't provided.
The town isn't much and the train is definitely a factor. My wife was a fan of it and I was not. The train's passing has a certain charm to it - until the engineer blows the horn. Small price to pay for an excellent VRBO.
A definite winner that should be on your list of places to consider.

The Riverview upstairs apartment worked out well for our family stay in the area. There were three of us. We had plenty of room and Diana was friendly and helpful.

Comfortable and great views
The unit we stayed in was very comfortable and was spotless. The kitchen is well set up and the bed is good. Train noise at night, but we like that! It was a perfect spot for our layover day from the GAP Trail. Lovely views of the river.

Lovely apartment in Confluence
Diana was a lovely host, friendly, helpful and accommodating. The apartment was spotless and lovely. It is not large (no separate living room) but perfect if you plan to be out all day hiking or biking. Due to COVID we cooked all our own meals, and so appreciated the fully equipped kitchen. We also loved our own little private deck with a beautiful view of the water. There are two adjacent properties; an apartment below and a larger house next door that shares the large deck pictured, so be aware that it is not entirely private (and noise does travel). But overall it was a great experience and we would definitely stay there again. PS. Some might disagree, but we loved the trains that pass by (close by!) several times a day.

1.0 / 5.0
The property itself was nice and clean with comfortable beds. A nice deck below too However, I am an honest person and would have wanted to know a few things- I chose this VRBO listing for its fair price however, during booking, there were 5 additional charges for owners fees, cleaning costs, an extra charge for 3rd person, even a large fee for a REQUIRED “INSURANCE POLICY” that was not mentioned in the listing itself. I felt ripped off. (I am at fault too for letting sister book for me w my card) So other things you should know before booking- 1) The layout is very choppy. There is no living room area so no couch to sit on, only beds or stools at table. You must walk thru one bedroom to get to the other one so there is no privacy in 2nd bedroom. Bathroom located thru 2nd bedroom and kitchen so it can not be avoided.2)The tv is not hooked up so we only had basket of dvds to watch. tried to hook computer into tv thru HDMI but did not work. 3)The view is very pretty but mostly from small second floor deck- 3 people max. The VRBO photos don’t show a large embankment in case of flooding built between the house and river so you can not access riverbank from house. 4)The town was a HUGE disappointment. In the off season, all restaurants and stores are closed! You must be willing to travel >30 minutes to find a place open to eat with exception of local convenience store-Mitchs food and fuel serving pizza and sandwiches. There is NOTHING else! 5) Parking is across the street in gravel area next to railroad tracks. Prefer closer parking but a large truck was parked along street that also blocked entry to the walk for access to the house. I feel I would have been happier with the original cost and am upset about all the added extra costs with NOTHING in town to do to add to our experience! We wanted quaint town with nice riverbank walks and nice dinner, none of which we got. Huge disappointment! Oh and I forgot to mention the train that comes through 3 times a night and blares the whistle to wake you up and say hello! The property is A collection of two houses about 20 ft apart- main house snd second house with two apts- one up and one down Has nice new siding and metal roofs.

Beautiful and walkable
We were delightfully surprised with the Towns beauty and walk ability. It’s a big biking town. Riverwalk restaurant is just around the corner and was delicious. The apartment is modest but comfortable and clean. The small deck was the most perfect view. I would stay again.

Great views of water and tree covered hills
Diana’s property is nicely decorated with beautiful water views. We enjoyed riding the Great Alegany Passage, kayaking the Casselman River, and white water rafting the Youghiogheny River! It was a nice long weekend of fun! Thank you!

Diana was a wonderful host who went above and beyond for us. She pours her heart and soul in keeping the property in immaculate condition so that guest have a beautiful house to enjoy the beautiful views and atmosphere of the Turkey Foot Inn. Highly recommend Diana and her properties. Tim H. June 2018

Relaxing
The property was immaculate, and the location on the river was perfect. Diana was a gracious hostess and showed genuine concern for our comfort. (If you're a light sleeper, or aren't used to trains, use the earplugs provided. 😉)

Everything was exactly as advertised. The rooms were very clean. The location was perfect for us to attend the Pumpkin Festival that was in progress and Diana was a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be back and recommend it to our friends.

Very satisfied.
Room was very clean and had great view. Diana was very accommodating with us with early check in when we arrived and we're going for a bike ride that afternoon.
We will almost certainly book rom again for next years annual bike ride from Pittsburgh to Confluence.

Cute place near lucky dog and rivers edge
Charming little upstairs apartment with full amenities. Comes equipped with bike storage, beautiful deck, coffee and coffee maker, dishware etc. awesome that you can adjust the ac unit and beautiful view of the river. One thing to notate though is that it's next to train tracks which are very alarming and loud all hours of the night. We actually loved it, but I think it's worth people knowing about so they don't come with certain expectations and then are upset with their stay. The only other thing I was a little bummed about was that for the price I was really hoping to have coffee on the deck and breakfast but I understand it's not a B&B. The owners son has mentioned coffee on the deck in the morning which is the only reason I was excited! We would definitely come again!

Beautiful view
We had a great stay. Diane and her son Troy was very accommodating to us. The apartment had everything we needed. It rained a lot, but we just went out and found things to do. We did get on the GAP and rode our bikes from Ohiopyle to Rockwood. We rode up hill almost 1/2 of it. The little waterfalls along the trail were a treat. The rain made the tumbling river below us appear to be very angry. Yes the trains are loud, but we used earplugs and were able to sleep well. The internet could have been better. Couldn't always get on when I wanted too. But that still wasn't no big problem for us. Would stay there again.

Beautiful location near Ohiopyle.
This was a perfect overnight location for my husband, son and myself. We went to Laurel caverns and Kentuck Nob the day we arrived at Confluence and the next day we went rafting in Ohiopyle. We rented a 2 bedroom one bath. There are 2 buildings on the property and they both have been totally renovated. The entire property was so charming, clean, and had a beautiful view right on the river. There is a very large deck to sit on that is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view. The owners were as friendly as could be, told us of a nice walk we could go on to get icecream and even brought their dogs out on the lawn because my son really wanted to play with them. We used the kitchen to cook a meal and everything we needed was there. We had booked one night but I wish I stayed for 2. I would definitely stay here again.
