This property is in a great location and neighborhood. Beach is very close. But the house needs a lot of work. Need to replace worn out flooring, carpet and furniture. Outside needs to be maintained better.
6.0
I obviously knew this property was "vintage" when i booked it. However theres a fine line between vintage and rundown. The floor in bathroom needs to be replaced. Its peeling up. Probably full of black mold. The shower head is barely functioning. It is VERY dark inside. The couches are very very old. Does not have a dishwasher. Most pots/pans need to be replaced. Found a pair of someones dirty underwear under end table in livingroom. Had cobwebs throughout. Dryer had a load of damp towels in it when we arrived. However, with all that being said we still had a great time. The hot tub was nice and the location to beach access was just a short walk and dog friendly. Close to all the great shops/restaurants in Cannon beach.

This is one of the best bargains in Cannon Beach. Vintage cabin. Only 3 blocks from the beach, and had all the amenities we needed. We cooked all of our meals at the house so appreciated the ample cookware and spices, oils, etc. Sunny private back porch with propane grill. We didn't get to use the hot tub this time but hope to next visit. Lots of towels including beach towels. Very quiet neighborhood. Little city parrk with picnic benches right across the street. It felt like visiting Grandma's cabin if our grandmother owned a cabin in Cannon beach! :-)

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming Vacasa rental near Cannon Beach, and we couldn't have been more impressed. The location is simply perfect, with a short walk to the beach and the stunning Ecola State Park up the hill. Plus, just a stone's throw away lies a charming shopping center with plenty of delicious restaurants to choose from.
The rental itself was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean, with all the amenities we could have wanted for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals, and the cozy living room provided the perfect space to unwind after a day spent exploring the surrounding area.
One of our favorite features of this rental was the hot tub - it was perfect to have a soak in after a long day at the beach or hiking in Ecola State Park. The outdoor space was also lovely, with a patio that provided the perfect spot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine while taking in the stunning views of the surrounding natural beauty.
Overall, we would highly recommend this Vacasa rental to anyone looking for a peaceful and picturesque getaway near Cannon Beach and the beautiful Ecola State Park up the hill. The location, amenities, and overall charm of this rental make it a true gem on the Oregon coast.

This house was misrepresented by the photo. It was overgrown with flowering bushes that had not been trimmed or cared for. There were a lot of dead leaves and branches as if someone had tried to trim things but then just left the debris behind. The patio furniture was pitiful - needed sanding and repainting and the cushions on 2 chairs were too big for the chair. There was no umbrella for sun protection. The inside was dated but clean except the windows, especially the bedroom windows , needed serious cleaning. Asked Vacasa to come clean them which they agreed to but never came. We left the house unlocked when we were away because the front door lock didn’t work - which we also relayed to Vacasa. All in all, not our best lodging experience in Cannon Beach with Vacasa.

Close to town and beach. Older property with 70's charm. Nice hottub and lots of yummy blackberries.

Can't say this house sleeps 6. Fold out sofa was unusable. Sagged terribly and smelled like dog pee. BBQ did not work. Electric griddle did not work. Bathroom fan did not work and was a fire hazard. Outside deck lights would not shut off. There were plug ins that sparked and shocked, also a fire hazard. Threadbare dish towels, unusable frying pans.

Ive thought a lot on how to write this review and still don't know but if you expectations are low and you are OK with it being severely dated and only plan on sleeping in it vs hanging out a lot inside then it'll be OK. We were there for 3 weeks which was way too long at this home ... Its very dark inside, many outlets and lights don't work, there is no coat hooks, the host is VERY unresponsive, the sofa bed was broken, the picnic table was cut to only fit tall people, the outdoor chairs were filthy dirty, the house smelled, the hard surfaces felt clean enough, but the carpet/sofas etc made you feel like you needed a shower. That all said this was booked a month prior to our trip and was the very last home in CB that allowed dogs ... (we had to cancel our other rental that was not pet friendly when we got our puppy earlier than expected) Anyhow Im trying to be kind but just the reality of it was that its a 2 on a 5 scale...we will not stay here again nor recommend the home.

Small clean house
Small clean house in nice location. Amenities are adequate, but nothing special.

Cozy and well-situated
Perfect spot for some friends and I to enjoy Cannon Beach with our dogs. The house is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood where we didn't have to worry about disruptive vehicle traffic. The classic interior made us feel right at home shortly after arriving. All of us were a few minutes' walk away from the coastline, which we took full advantage of. I would happily stay here again.

charming and oh so close to the beach!
I didn't realize this house was about a quarter mile walk to the beach! It was a pleasant surprise and made it much easier to get out in the sand before the crowds hit it later in the day. It is also about a half mile walk to the downtown area. While visitor parking is ample, walking would mean one less worry.
The house itself was very functional, and the beds were more comfortable than any I've slept on in previous rentals.

Great location/cozy home
Great 2-bedroom home in the woods near town. An older home with wood paneling, comfortable couches and chairs and nice beds. Feels like a home, not a sterile condo. Easy access to the beach with a 5 minute walk. Would stay again.

Comfortable home away from home.
The deck and yard were great. Our dog loved the grass and shade after a day at the beach. Bed was comfortable, quiet neighborhood.

Great location
Fun house in a great location in north Cannon area. Loved the 70's chic. It's got all the basics you need and a great deck for evening sun. Pet friendly - we'll be back

Consistently lovely
This is the third or fourth time my partner and I have stayed here. It feels like coming home. The kitchen is a good size for cooking, the dining table is great for dinners, as well as large board games. After a long walk on the beach, the hot tub is also a real treat. We hope to be back again and again. Thank you!

Great Family Vacation
This house worked great for our family of four (Mom, Dad, Adult son and nearly adult son). The house had plenty of space. It is situated nicely for anyone who doesn’t mind a short walk to town and an even shorter walk to the beach. The hot tub was a nice bonus.

We were well taken care of!
Our hosts were very responsive, making sure we had a great stay in the neighborhood. We loved the house, it was absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway for 2! Would have been room for a couple more people comfortably as well.

Good time, happy home
Nice house, hot tub was nice. Cozy little cabin, not drafty at all, good heat t/o. We love throwback sorta vintage furniture, and these guys had a bunch of it. Love it wish more places kept their old furniture around. Spent a lot of time playing games and laughing. We’re definitely coming back. Liked seeing the family photos on the wall, makes the experience more real to see the people who owned or lived there. Thanks!

Feels like home
This was our second time staying here and we just love it. It is a fantastic location, quiet, and the house feels just like home. Lovely 70s decor, and the hot tub is just perfect this time of year.
We are hoping to be able to visit again many times in the future!

Great place to stay
Decent size place to stay. Big living room and kitchen. Hot tub was very clean.

Great place and great location!
For my family of four we loved this place! The reason I’m not giving a 5 star review is the fireplace wasn’t working. If your bringing little ones bring some cups and silverware, I don’t like giving my 3yr old glass.
We absolutely loved the location though and would stay here again for sure!

Love it! Cute home with just about everything you need; home away from home!
The home was very nice, wish the windows had screens so they could be opened without bugs coming, but overall it was a fantastic time. Thank you for sharing your home with us. My grandchildren and children loved the decor!

Beach Bunglow
Walking distant to beach access and Cannon Beach shopping. It is on a quiet street and has a nice deck to enjoy the sun.

Very clean
Retro is definitely the best word use for this rental. Here is that everything in this place was purchased new back in the 60s/70s but hardly ever used. Very clean, and I enjoyed listening to the rain and the birds all the time. Hot tub was a huge bonus which was very clean also.

Retro
Retro is definitely the best word to use. LOL. Hey 60s/seventies look, however, extremely clean and most everything looked like it was brand new. The hot tub and being pet friendly was an extra bonus!

Great location
This cottage in Cannon Beach is ideally situated. It's an easy walk to the main shopping areas, beach and not too far to Haystack Rock. The interior of the house is dated with dark wood panelling throughout making it very dark inside. There's plenty of room and the bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable.

Blast from the Past
When I first walked into this little house, the amount of 70s decor surprised me, but I quickly fell in love with it. It was pleasantly quirky, and very comfortable.
The size was just perfect for the two of us, and may have been comfortable with more.
The beach access was a very close walk, and the town was very accessible to walk to as well. We also got to explore a new part of the area due to the location and hiked up to Ecola State Park and down to Crescent Beach. It was beautiful.
The hot tub was also a great size. It fit the size of the house well--small, and comfortable, but not too small. In winter, the foliage meant it was not *quite* as private from the surrounding houses, but it felt private enough.
The kitchen implements are functional but I would recommend if you plan on cooking a lot to maybe bring a few of your favorite cooking implements with you.
Overall it was fantastic--clean, quite, perfect location, and very comfortable. I hope to come back.
