We had a wonderful time in this cozy lake cabin. It has easy access to grocery shopping and restaurants while being a secluded quiet retreat. The homeowner checked in on our first day to make sure we had everything we needed and was very gracious. The porch is dreamy , great for reading, conversation and relaxing.

This is our second stay at this cabin. When weighing all our ideas for a Summer getaway, my wife shared what a great time we had in Muscle Shoals on Wilson Lake. We booked that night and we could not believe that our week was available!! As it says in the owner’s description, ‘this is not the Hilton’, but that is exactly why we love this place SO much. There is everything you can think of to make this place home, and more! The latest updates we found since our previous stay (two summers ago), are new flat screen TVs (sorry, we didn’t use them), an updated cooling system, and a new stove. The amenities that we enjoy the most are the back, upper porch with the coffee couch, the two story dock in deep water (perfect for swimming and fishing), the kitchen with everything you need to make meals, the great wifi so I could get a little morning work done ( maybe that isn’t a perk), the location in the quite cove off Wilson Lake, and the short drives to Muscle Shoals and Florence to get out for a quick lunch or nice dinner. To my family and myself, this cabin is a special place away from home that feels like you can completely relax and enjoy it as your own. Miss Beverly, our host, is EXTREMELY easy to work with and makes herself available for anything you might need. We very much enjoyed how friendly the people are in the area, as well!!

Short Mini-Vac
Quiet area, just what we were looking for. Kevin the squirrel was a little entertaining when he got in the screened in porch. It's hard to give the cabin a little TLC when it's always booked. The kitchen floor in front of the sink could use a little TLC.

Cabin Stay for Shoals Fest
We had such a great time in Muscle Shoals/Florence! We were in town for Shoals Fest and the house was exactly what I was expecting in a lake camp. It rained quite a bit so the screened in porch was truly fantastic. If I had to quibble, I would say some additional glassware would be great and whomever cleaned the camp from the last guest left a few items in the fridge but otherwise everything was terrifc.

A Great Lake Retreat
This was a well-loved, rambling lake cabin that made a perfect family retreat. Fishing, swimming, and lots of laughter and meals enjoyed on the big screened in back porch!

Wonderful lake house.
This property is amazing!
The two decks right onto the lake make it amazing for sure!
The only thing I think would make it better would be to have hand soap and hand towels filled and available for regular use. That was a bit annoying. Also, laundry detergent. We brought our own in case but that would be a handy thing to have since laundry is available.
Also, beach towels for use would be great too.
We came assuming they would be there and there were none.
Great space for larger extended families.
Highly recommend. Beverly was very prompt to all questions and gracious.

Lake House
Great relaxing vacation. Pier and fishing was wonderful. Loved the porch and stone shower. My elderly father really enjoyed watching the variety of boats on the lake. Host contacted us to ensure we were settled in. Thanks Beverly!

If you are looking for a quite location with a great swim dock in deep water this is the place. Good fishing cove as well.

Fishing Vacation
Perfect place for a Muscle Shoals Vacation. The proximity is great for fishing and touring both cities. Boat ramp is very close and the house is on a peaceful cove.

Great location
The location of this property was great. Beverly was very accommodating as well. This cabin has tons of potential and I look forward to the upgrades she has planned over the next several months. The bedrooms are somewhat awkward and there’s not a true master bedroom. Our family really enjoyed their stay and we’d definitely stay again.

Casual & Comfortable
The casual and quaint nature of this hidden getaway was ideal for a quick trip to Florence/Muscle Shoals for a family of 5 needing some river time. The cabin décor is somewhere between eclectic and old world, with a tidy clean appeal. We liked that there is tons of seating in both the family room, wrap around porch and the upper boat deck. There is a humongous surprise rock shower in the basement, a canoe with paddles that our teenagers used for an activity, a charming old swing on the boat dock and several other unexpected happies that helped make this trip memorable. We would go back!

Relaxing and private
Moved son to Alabama to go to UNA and stayed here for 5 days . Boat owners , there is a boat ramp directly across water maybe 200 yds from the dock . Love the house and how quiet . Owners are simple to work with , rapid response with any questions I had . Thanks for the vacation Beverly

Exactly what we needed
We absolutely enjoyed our stay in Muscle Shoals! The property’s location is perfectly suited to what our family likes to do on vacation. Perfectly situated right on the water we swam, fished, took the canoe out, played games, ate, read and relaxed all outside. Because of the screened in porch we were able to be connected even if half of us were on the dock or in the water and the rest of us were on the porch. The property manager was excellent to work with and very responsive to all inquiries. I would describe the house as eccentric in a very charming way. The kids loved the spiral staircase and rock shower. The house is very fairly represented in the description on VRBO. We plan to come back next summer!!

Best Getaway!
Our grandkids had the best time here! They loved the water for swimming and canoeing, my husband loved fishing from the bank and the pier, and I absolutely loved the upper porch. We actually enjoyed staying here more than our stays on the beach. Will absolutely be back here again. :-)

Great Week with Family
The house is located right across from TVA Boat Ramp but not so close to it that you are disturbed by the loading and unloading of the boats. Water is beautiful around the dock and plenty deep to fish or swim. We caught several catfish and even a smallmouth fishing minnows right off the bank. House was clean and plenty of room for our family of 7. Brother in law came along at last minute and plenty of room for him as well. Bedrooms are all on the smaller side but who cares because when you are at the lake your not there to sit inside in the bedroom anyway. The wrap around screened in porch was so nice to use. All day long and deep into the night you can just sit out on the porch and look at the water and listen to the sounds so unique to lake living. Beverly was wonderful to work with as a manager/owner. Highly recommend this home to a family who wants to be out on the water and likes to be near the water or looking at the water when they are not on it.

Lake House
Due to Corona we had 2 vacations already canceled. We were looking for a quiet teen friendly "little to no contact with others" getaway and that is exactly what we found in this Muscle Shoals Lake house. Beds of plenty for the 3 adults & 4 teens staying. We took full advantage of the wonderful screened in porch for visiting, eating meals, reading, & even a nap or two. The wifi & Netflix was a great benefit for a family who lives to rural for good internet. The highlight of this home is the double decker dock/deck that everyone spent hours enjoying. If you are like us you will make lots of memories, spend some quality time together, & thoroughly enjoy this home away from home.

Perfect place to stay for a group wanting to fish, swim or just relax!
The listing is as accurate as you can get. The property manager was excellent and responds quickly. There are grills there so we didn't have to bring our own. The canoe was great to jump in and fish around the cove. The younger adults loved the diving board on the dock. Us older adults loved the dock to relax. The patio around the main level is super nice! We used that more than anything! There was enough room for us to put our cornhole up there and not have to play in the sun, and the kitchen is right there! Planning to go back soon!

Highlight of the Year!
Spending a long weekend here is a highlight each year. It's the perfect place to come relax with friends and family, take the boat out, and play golf on Sunday. There is plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors and make memories. Thank you again. Hopefully we can return this late summer!

Absolutely horrible experience
Place was dirty. Then the owner wanted to charge a cleaning fee because we had a service dog for our special needs child. Screens torn on porch in several places. LOTS of dust on many items. Mold in shower.

We loved the large porches to sit and enjoy the morning and afternoon views...The family enjoyed being together in one place talking, playing cards while the men watched the ballgames and did other things..The property was very large and had all the room we needed...there were a few things that needed done to the property to make it a Paradise Place but it answered all comforts of home..We didn't use the water but would be a nice place to swim, suntan, fish and more. Our host Beverly Harderman was the greatest . She made our stay as perfect as she could and was on call if we needed anything...Great Host....

We Did Not Stay at House
We did not stay at the house. The house was not clean, house had been closed up and was musty. Holes in screen on porch, bugs as well.
With the number listed going straight to owner communication was with owner. A full refund or partial refund was requested for consideration, however there was never a reply or response back.
We had to find motel accommodations in addition to already having paid for the house in full.
We have allowed a window of time for response.

Very relaxing
We loved our stay in Muscle Shoals! The house was big enough for our group. The owner was nice and we enjoyed her visit. There were some minor items about the home that I wish we would have known prior to booking. The kitchen utensils were old and somewhat rustic and the stove is older and hard to regulate. We are a family that loves to cook and enjoy meals together. The wrap around porches were perfect for this. The refrigerator has only one shelf so bring stackable containers for food items. Also, according to my research, there doesn’t seem to be a way to rent a boat in this area due to the dams, but if you bring your own you might be able to explore the lake by boat. Although the lake house was generally clean, it was very cluttered with odd personal items and closets were not really functional. Even with those minor issues, our family had a wonderful time floating on the lake, visiting all the music studios, hiking Dismals Canyon, the Helen Keller home and boating at Joe Wheeler State Park!

Perfect for golf trip to Muscle Shoals
Everything was great for 10 guys on golf trip. Plenty of room to grill out, play cards, etc. Also had a guy bring his boat. He had plenty of places close by to put in. We will stay there again!
