We simply cannot say enough about our time at Fun in the Sun. We were met when we arrived and helped with our luggage, enjoyed just the right mix of privacy and accommodation from Ed & Delia, loved the dock for swimming and docking a rental boat, grilled and ate outside with family, and had comfortable inside space when we needed to get out of the sun. Plenty of room for our two teenage sons and we loved taking advantage of the kayaks. Bonus points for the elevator lift to help with the luggage and the sweet treats during the week from our awesome hosts.

What a wonderful week we all had! The property was spotless (which is always important but even more so during Covid!) and had everything we needed! Delia & Ed were the most gracious, kind and generous owners who thought of everything and were there to help make our week relaxing and memorable!! The location enabled us to walk to the quaint town of Hammondsport each morning (and evening) if we were craving homemade ice cream, coffee or lunch/dinner. Walking in the opposite direction we discovered a wonderful vegetable stand where it was based on the honor system - how truly awesome is that!! We were close to wineries/breweries and museums. We enjoyed the use of the 5 kayaks that were available to us and had a spot on the dock to tie up our 4 person floatie! Mother nature gifted us with weather that was spectacular and Keuka Lake is crystal clear - and so beautiful!! We had friends visits on several days and we were all grateful for this home and time on the lake!! Thank you so very, very much!!

Our first visit to the Finger Lakes was absolute perfection. This property is close to town and wineries if you want to explore the area. The house is beautiful- spotlessly clean, very tastefully decorated and had everything we needed inside and out. Awesome outdoor space right on the water. We loved the property owners, Ed and Delia, who made sure everything was perfect!

A wonderful week on our favorite lake. The house location is perfect-just a mile from quaint Hammondsport and several wineries. Outdoor dock space is ideal for enjoying the view and family dinners. 2 large tables, amazing dock and sun (rain shade!) over one dock. Had a boat on the other dock most of the week and that worked out well. Note that the owners live next door and they are very close. The stairs are shared. Some may find this awkward so be aware before you rent. The house is comfortable and kitchen area is large.

We had a great time in this beautiful house. The location is perfect, right on the water. You can walk right out to the water with your cup of coffee and enjoy the peace. But it also is located just a couple of miles from the quaint town of Hammondsport. You couldn't ask for better owners of the property who are so friendly and there for every need. We will surely be back again and again.

From the moment we arrived the hosts were making sure our stay was enjoyable. Ed had the elevator waiting to transport our gear. The house was very clean. The lakeside deck had a shaded area that we enjoyed watching the boating activity from. Overall it was exactly what we were looking for.

Beautiful and comfortable home right on the water. Ed and Delia are great hosts that make sure you have everything you need. If you're visiting to fish the lake, it doesn't get any better than this property. The dock is very well constructed and designed to accommodate at least a 24' boat, and it's about 20 paces from the house!

We had 3 couples stay here and it was perfect for 6. The house was clean and updated, with beautiful views. The fall colors were breath taking.. Wine tasting, hiking, dinners, and friends made for a great weekend. Owners were a so sweet and helpful, I would recommend this place again and again. Thank you for everything.

This property was great. The interior was very clean and attractive. The outdoor space was just beautiful. Very comfortable . Delia and Ed were fantastic!

Ed and Delia were excellent hosts! They were there to greet us and help us unload our cars, show us around the house and were there again to help us load our cars back up during checkout as well. The house was perfect for our family of 8, plenty of space and enough beds for everyone. We were able to use the 5 kayaks provided at the house every day on the water. The kids and adults loved the water and swimming every day. Perfectly located near town with plenty of dock/deck/waterfront space - we rented a boat for two days and had plenty of Sox’s to dock it and still swim/kayak. The owners live right next door and were there if we needed anything but also offered plenty of privacy as well. Delia even brought over some yummy treats a couple of times! Overall really a great place to stay! Thank you for letting our family enjoy such a wonderful week!

The property is absolutely gorgeous and right on the lake. You are very close to Hammondsport and vineyards for exploring, but the best part of the stay is being able to relax on beautiful the dock. The house is very nice and spacious. Just note that there is not a washer or dryer, which could be a problem for longer stays. There is a laundromat in town if necessary. Also the house is right next to the owners’ and another small rental property, which for us was great since Delia and Ed are so kind and fun! It’s just good to be aware in case you are looking for a more secluded location. Everything was amazing and we can’t wait to go back!

We absolutely loved our stay at this amazing lakefront property! The new gazebo cover over the dock was a pleasant surprise, providing a nice shady area to lounge and enjoy the view. The house was very clean. We enjoyed all the amenities and the kids loved the kayaks. The location can't be beat - close to town and the wineries. Our sincere thanks to Delia and Ed for making us feel welcome and for all the recommendations of where to eat in the area.

We were 3 couples and we all had a lovely time staying at this property. Ed & Delia were super nice and helped us get our boat in the water and get our stuff taken inside the house. The lakeside property is so nice. We especially liked the big outside deck with a dock for a small to medium size boat. We brought our 17' bayliner and it fit well. When we were there we saw a magnificent full (almost double) rainbow that was directly across the lake from us. It was just stunning! We also caught a lot of fish off the deck and dock, perch, small mouth bass, blue gill, catfish & sunnies, etc. If you like to fish make sure to bring a rod and some worms. The only downside that we saw to the this property is that the steps are very steep from street to house. There is an electric lift so you don't have to carry your suitcase, etc. down or up the steps. All in all we would highly recommend staying here as Ed and Delia are very hospitable and you can't beat the view! Thanks for a great time!

We decided to take a spontaneous trip to the finger lakes and found this house by chance. It ended up being far greater than anything we could have hoped for. Upon check in we sent pictures to our family back home and they were so inspired by the beauty they chose to take the 6 hour drive and stay with us. The house, the kayaks, the deck, the lake....it gave our 5 children wonderful memories that they will treasure for a lifetime. The VRBO listing said that one pet was permitted with a crate, so we brought our golden lab. As it turns out, the listing hadn’t been updated and their new policy was No Pets. We felt terrible about this and offered the owners additional money to cover any pet charges. They were kind and understanding about it. Turns out, our dog had the best time of all. She enjoyed sitting in the kayak with us and marveled at the ducks my children were feeding at the lake’s edge. Ed helped us unpack when we arrived and was available on the spot if we needed anything. Delia gave us great restaurant recommendations and a nice bottle of wine from a local vineyard. I really enjoyed the multitude of owls in the decorations. Just when I thought I saw them all, another would appear in a new location that made sense. Delia is a master decorator and the details of the home were so creative. Overall, it was a beautiful, well appointed home with everything we needed for a peaceful, fun lake house vacation! We had two families stay in this beautiful lake front house. The house is very clean and the kitchen has everything you need to make all meals. Even a grill is provided. We enjoyed being outside on the dock or lounging in the lake. We had a great time! Delia & Ed are awesome! They made us feel welcomed and helped to answer any questions we had. They take great care of their property. We look forward to returning next summer!

We love this tiny bungalow! It is immaculate & has everything you need for time away from home! The bungalow is literally on the waters edge & the decks are great (TWO decks- one covered & other open to the sun)!! We can’t wait to come back!!

Pros 1. Keuka is very scenic and peaceful. For boaters there is minimal boat traffic and at least on this end of the lake the water is really calm most of the time. It was phenomenal for waterskiing and wakeboarding, etc. 2. The property is conveniently located like a mile away from Hammondsport which is a very nice quaint town. Nice shops, restaurants and a decent grocery store. 3. It is right on the water, really cool. 4. Plenty of space for 8 people. 5. Very clean and for the most part comfortable. 6. The deck is great for hanging out, fishing or swimming; as long as you don't have a boat. 7. The property owners are very nice. They used to allow dogs but no longer do (VRBO made that confusing for me) Because of that, they generously agreed to allow my sister's dog for an additional $75 cleaning fee. We were extemely appreciative. Cons (mainly for boaters) 1. Most of the beds are uncomfortable. I would describe them as hard/stiff. The purchase of some decent mattress toppers would go a long way to provide comfort for most sleepers. 2. Based on several photos posted on VRBO (which have been removed due to my complaint) and written correspondence I had with Delia, we were lead to believe the dock could accomodate our 23' boat. When I asked the depth of the water where "we would dock our boat" I was told 20'. Much to our surprise when I pulled up with our expensive boat, I was told the dock (which is located at the edge of the rental property, next to their private home) was off limits. It's their private brand new dock. They no longer allow renters to dock, fish nor swim off it. Our dock was the deck. We had to dock our boat, horizontal to the lake. Since our boat pretty much stretched the length of the deck, we could not fish nor swim off of it. This situation was not desireable for what we were looking for in a lake property. Overall, I would say this is a decent place to stay. We will definitely come back to Keuka Lake. The daily rental fee is very reasonable for a lake property given what we have paid over many years. As you can see there are very nice reviews of this place. However, if you have a boat this place may not meet your needs. All depends on what you are expecting to do off the deck.

Our family had a great stay here! Delia and Ed were amazing - when we arrived after driving 13 hours they helped us bring our luggage inside which was very helpful! Delia's sister even made a birthday cake for me, which was super nice of her. The cake was delicious too! My husband needed some help with our pontoon boat a couple times during our stay and Ed was right there when he needed him. The house was the perfect size for us - it was my husband Jeff and I, mother in law and our 2 girls. When we arrived the house was very clean and everything was there that we needed. Only disadvantage I would say is there is no washer and dryer so I had to go to the laundromat a couple times during our stay, which wasn't a big deal but with having 2 girls the laundry piles up quickly! Also, there is no central air conditioning - they do have a small window unit, but we went and got a standing air conditioning unit which helped to cool the upstairs. Overall, it was a great vacation for our family and we will definitely go back!! Thanks Delia & Ed for an amazing stay, can't wait to come back next year! :-)

This was our second year with Ed and Delia, and even better than the first. The cottage has a great location, with a deck right on the water, quiet yet still close to Hammondsport. Ed and Delia are absolutely the world's best hosts, right next door making sure everything is OK and stopping by with treats and other surprises. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. We chose this property as a last minute Memorial Day weekend getaway. The host promptly responded to our request for booking with a personal call and gave us all the details. We arrived a bit late in the evening, but host was there to meet us, help us with luggage (there is a nice elevator to get things up and down from the property) and show us around. Property is very nicely appointed, clean, and warm, felt like coming home. Property is literally "on the water" meaning you walk out the back door onto a patio, and then a dock over the water. Very convenient for swimming (a bit cold in May) right off the dock and using the kayak's that are provided. Would highly recommend this for one or even two families as there is plenty of space (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) with lots of water activity on-site and plenty to do offsite (vineyards, museums, shopping).

My daughter chose the area for her wedding. I was pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of the locals. I hope to return one day.

This is the best place we've stayed! This cottage is charming and stylishly decorated, with plenty of space for our family of 3 adults, 2 teens, and one small dog. While most of our pleasure came from the near-perfect weather, and from being at our favorite lake, we also enjoyed getting to know Delia and Ed. They did so much to make us happy there: they greeted us and helped us get our luggage into the cottage, and Delia made our Sunday evening extra special with Sangria! (Delia, please send me the recipe). Next time, the only thing that could make it better: Ed, we'll bring the accordion if you'll bring your bagpipes! Another plus: this cottage is just a few minutes from Hammondsport, where we love to shop and dine. Several wineries are also close by. I am also glad to clarify the sleeping options: on the upper level the first bedroom has one queen sized bed, and the second bedroom has two twin-size (single) beds. The upper-level family room has a pull-out sofa that is queen sized. On the lower level, there is one bedroom, which has a queen sized bed. The lower level family room has a queen-sized futon and can serve as a bedroom, if necessary. We definitely plan to return to our new coolest place to stay on Keuka!

We enjoyed our stay in the house on Keuka Lake. Yet, it is close to downtown Hammonsport and to several wineries. The owners Delia and Ed who live in next house were very nice and helpful. There was a kayak and a small boat available with 2 docks. The lake water is clear to the bottom. We especially enjoyed having our coffee out on deck in the morning. There was plenty of lawn chairs and tables with umbrellas. The house was tastefully decorated.clean, and comfortable. Since we are from the New Orleans area, it was especially nice to have the windows open. The house doe not have a/c but there are several ceiling fans and standing fans if needed. Delia gave me a bottle of wine which is a nice touch. There is a steep stairs to get the house but the owners have a elevator next to the house, so we did not need to drag suitcases up and down. There were ducks and ducklings who came around wanting bread which i thought was cute. The charming town of Hammondsport had some nice restaurants and grocery store just off of the town square. When we were there was a open air art show in the town square. Also every Thursday evening there was free live music in the town square by the gazebo. There were a few things I thought were a little different. There are no locks on the house because there is no need. No towels or sheets are provided and no dishwasher either. There also is no dryer so I had to put wet towels in my suitcase on the way home. But no big deal. Overall, our stay was great and we hope to stay next year!!

We had a great weekend with our friends at this cottage. It was very clean and cute. Delia and Ed were great hosts and made everything very easy. The weather was perfect and we couldnt have asked for more.
