Our stay was very relaxing. Everything we needed for a beach retreat ( did run out of toilet paper though & there was no extra). Great location,you just need to time coming and going with the beach traffic. So much to do if you don’t even want to get in your car.
Most amazing sunsets we have seen! Wish I could add a picture.

My husband and I enjoyed almost 3 weeks at this sweet cottage. The location was excellent. It was just a short couple minute walk to the beach and a short drive to the grocery story and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the back deck overlooking the canal, observing birds, dolphins and fish jumping. We were even able to view the beautiful sunsets from the end of the deck! The house was very clean and well stocked. We particularly were appreciative of the beach supplies that were provided for our use. The only negative for us was the king size bed mattress was very uncomfortable. We had to move into the queen bedroom for a better mattress. Also the couch in the living room was not comfortable. We spent more time sitting in the kitchen which wasn’t all bad with that great view of the canal! All in all, would definitely recommend this cottage.

Excellent location with restaurants and bars in walking distance. Private dock on canal and beach across the street. Plenty of parking space. Centrally located between Fort Myers and Naples. Very enjoyable two weeks.

We've stayed in the Bonita Beach--Little Hickory area for several years. Hurricane Ian interrupted our tradition but we are thankful to find this house across from the beach that we love. The house was perfect for us for our holiday getaway. The house was clean and the updates since the hurricane are wonderful. Highly recommend.

Comfy 2 bedroom home with all amenities you will need!
The location is perfect directly across from the beach it’s a 2 minute walk. You can use beach access 1 with lots of people and things to see and do by Doc’s Restaurant, or access 2 is a little less crowded. The home has a beach buggy lots of chairs, 2 umbrellas, floats, skim boards beach towels, and several coolers and lots of other beach items. The beds are so comfortable with really nice linens. The bathrooms have lots of plush towels and some toiletries which was a plus. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you will need to cook with lots of spices. I did see that several people mentioned the lower level smelled musty, but people have to realize the owner can’t run a air conditioner 24/7 when they don’t have renters, so when you get to the home just run the lower level air conditioner and the smell will be gone in a day or 2. The lower level couch is comfy and the third bathroom down there is really nice. My family of 4 would definitely stay here again. Thank you to the owners for making sure our stay was perfect.

Memorial Weekend Beach Trip
Great two bedroom house walking distance (short) to beach. Great accessories and nicely updated home. No dishwasher so kept us on top of keeping dishes clean. Great tv’s and A/C. Several places to sit on back porch and balcony for small group. Very busy street in front of home but always easy to get out, just busy., so need to watch and pay attention. Hosts were amazing.

Just as advertised
Everything was as presented in the property description. Close to beach and also located on a quiet canal. Owners were generous with the use of their personal property as well. We had a great time during our stay.

Wonderful home
The house was fabulous. Had everything we needed and more. We saw dolphins 2 mornings up close to our dock. Good location - close to restaurants. Uber and Lyft were easy to catch.

Excellent Location
Older property but location is excellent. Owners were great. To be truthful, the first floor was extremely musty. We could not use the pullout. Also, no fault of the owners but construction noise was constant. Overall, we had a nice stay

Christmas on the Beach!
Stephen and Rachel are wonderful hosts. Easy access to their home. Everything was very clean, comfortable beds, most fabulous is the well stocked kitchen, utensils, dishes, all cooking and baking pans, if you’re cooking in, you have everything you need, especially a well stocked spice cabinet, very much appreciate not wasting buying sugar, oils, condiments for a short stay. Beach going was 100% easy, rolling cart, chairs, umbrellas, toys for kids- they provide it all. The basement is pretty musty, it would be difficult asking someone to sleep on the pullout couch down there. It was fantastic having washer/dryer. We paddled out on the canal into the bay on the kayaks, and fished off the dock. You’re going to love the sunrise and shady evenings looking over the canal.

Beautiful views.
This is a delightful property and centrally located. The owners were responsive and helpful. It's a great place to rest and relax and to have fun. There are lots of beach toys and things for kids. Good for any age. We highly recommend.

Great Location
The proximity to the beach was perfect and we spent time there every day. Having the kayaks, the beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, and the beach cart made life easy. We had a great week..

Quaint beach home
This bungalow beach home was everything they advertised. Nicely decorated, and clean. Had amenities that made it even more awesome. Loved the use of kayaks, life jackets, fishing gear, all beach needs minus your own suit of course. Grateful to owners for leaving sunscreen, bug spray, lotions, shampoos, conditioners, and coffee pods for the next guests. We comfortably slept all 5 of us here. Plenty of space for everyone. Hope you keep the home just as it is, and don't become a monstrosity like the neighbor home. We look forward to coming back to the quaint blue beach home again in the future.

Overall Good but for AC Temps
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The house is fully stocked with everything we needed for our day to day and even a lot of beach items which made our stay stress-free. Conveniently located across the street from the beach and centrally located with plenty to do nearby. I would say the only issue we had with our stay was the controlled AC temperatures of 75 degrees fahrenheit (to sleep) being the lowest the AC would go. My family was very uncomfortable because of this.

Perfect Beach Getaway
We only had a few short days on the coast but this property was perfect for our family. We loved the proximity to the beach and the amenities of the house. Communication with our host, Stephen, was easy and he responded quickly. We rode out Tropical Storm Elsa and felt completely safe knowing Stephen had swung by to tie everything down. We hope to come back more day for another stay.

Close to the beach
Everything was clean and close to the beach. There are some newer/possibly nicer places to stay nearby, but we found this property to be a great combination of price and proximity to the beach and restaurants.
There were TVs in basically every room. We had some difficulty watching the local stations/news, but there were plenty of apps to watch any movie, series, etc., you wanted.
The only thing I would change is I think the doors that open to the outside should have deadbolts.
We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location
Great location and loved that kayaks were provided. All the beach necessities you would need including towels, umbrellas, coolers, fishing poles, floats, & toys. Walk to the beach! Nice upper deck to sit on in the evening - we saw a dolphin. The house is a little hot but there are ceiling fans in each room. Very clean. Would stay here again.

Great little place across from the beach
We had a great time. Went kayaking on the bay and walked on the beach almost every day. The beach access is a 5 minute walk. The house is amply supplied with vacation gear - fishing poles, beach chairs, kayaks, life jackets. Having the washer and dryer was great too.

Perfect location to enjoy the beach!
Walk to the beach every day! We did! We also caught catfish right off the dock. Saw jellyfish, and some monster fish kayaking. Everything worked great and was a comfy stay including all the beach stuff you would ever need. Response within minutes from host to any of my questions. We will be back!

Adequate
Property older than I expected, stairs narrow and steep, no dishwasher, very clean, had to keep blinds closed to cool, easy beach access, plenty of beach equipment, living area furniture not very comfortable for sitting.
We enjoy that area and had stayed in Bonita Beach two other times.

We had a wonderful stay!
Just flew back last night from our two week stay in Bonita to Ohio covered in 12 inches of snow! We thoroughly enjoyed the house! It's location was perfect! Loved having the ocean in front and the bay behind us! Enjoyed coffee to wine on the back deck watching dolphins, manatee and my boys fishing and kayaking in the back yard. The weather could not have been better! Steve was a wonderful host! He brought us a brand new grill withing two hours of texting him, as the current one was not in working condition. Ended up renting another day during our stay. The place was immaculate! I am a clean freak, so was worried about cleanliness. From the comfortable beds to beautiful taste in beach decor! We had everything we needed! Extra blankets, beach gear galore! Kayaks, beach chairs, coolers and a wagon to lug everything to the beach! We will be back! I miss my daily morning beach walks and our nightly sunsets! Until we meet again🌴🍹🏖🏝🌞

Fun week at the beach bungalow
Stephen was prompt in responding back to all of my questions. I was able to book his house with confidence. The house looked exactly as it does on line. It was very clean, sanitized well and felt safe. First morning we didn’t have groceries so we took a 3-5 min walk to Doc’s restaurant on the beach. It was a great way to start our vacation eating breakfast on the beach. The sunsets are steps away and beautiful. Everything you need is 10-15 minutes drive. I would highly recommend renting this house to a friend.

Beach bungalow.
Location is fantastic. Listing accurately describes property. Well stocked kitchen including spices and other basics. Plenty of extras: kayaks, fishing equipment and beach supplies. The dock on back bay allowed us to fish and use kayaks. We had a Herrin and dolphin visit us during our stay. Owner is responsive to questions and was quick to resolve issue we had with internet. We would definitely stay here again.

A GREAT GETAWAY
More room than I expected. Convenient to beach and bars. Really enjoyed evenings on the deck overlooking the back bay. For older people (like me) there were a lot of stairs to walk, and I would not have been able to watch tv if my grandchildren were not tech savy. There was a broken chair on the deck that needs disposed of. Overall, we had a great time. Yes, we would stay here again.

Average at best
Great location and views. Unfort the property was average at best. While we had only 3 people, I cannot imagine 6 people could be comfortable in this home. No water pressure, not enough hot water to run 2 showers, very small living room and kitchen. No dishwasher (in a pandemic). No deadbolts on all 3 exterior doors. One bath towel per person for a week and one roll of TP per bathroom for a week. And no dresser in the master bedroom. It was a frustrating experience for a one week stay.

Location plus beach/bay extras
We enjoyed our stay, especially relaxing on the deck and taking full advantage of the fishing poles and kayaks. The house is an easy walk across the street to the beach and to Doc's Beach House, which is gulf front at the public beach. We didn't use the beach stuff but the house is stocked with everything you would need to enjoy a day at the beach.
The house was adequate for our needs and comfortable for our family. Much of our time was spent outside or visiting family anyway. The beds are very comfortable.
Overall, I would recommend and stay here again, especially if you enjoy the beach/bay life!

The location is perfect, directly across the street from the beach and close to restaurants. Stephen was very attentive and quick to address our questions. They provide kayaks, fishing rods, beach cart, etc. The house is older but, it was perfect for what we needed, wanted. Thanks Stephen.

Our family of 5 could not have asked for a better place to stay - book it!!
The house has everything we needed for a fabulous week of fun & relaxation (except bug spray - get the good stuff!).
Super comfy beds & sofas, stocked kitchen, ample beach gear with a handy cart for the short jaunt across the street.
Wifi crashed but the owner was so quick to work on a remedy - no small task on a holiday weekend. It's obvious they strive to make your stay as seamless & enjoyable as possible.
The only suggestion I have is to alert guests that swimming in the bay isn't advised - and definitely don't dive off the dock!
I'm pretty particular when it comes to making a family vacation delightful - we work hard for our money and expect to chill when we travel. The Bungalow absolutely afforded us that opportunity!!

NO A/C & NO DISHWASHER
This is a very ramshackle house. All accessories are cheap and have a lot of miles on them. The downstairs space has no AC and there is no dishwasher. The upstairs A/C is kept at 77 degrees and that's in the hallway, rest of the house gets easily up to 80 degrees. VERY hot for Florida summer. The landlord likes to keep deposits with no documentation or evidence of damage. If you want to stay in a worn down shack in a great location this is the place for you just make sure you pay shack prices and plan to loose your deposit. The landlord's response to this review will be that we trashed the house which is 100% untrue and we are fighting the allegations. Feel free to contact me for details.

Fabulous Time
Great location, you have the bay in the back and the beach across the street.. the best of both worlds. The house was set up great and the owners couldn't have been better to work with. We have already booked the house for next year.. one of the best we have stayed at in the past 16 years we have been going down for vacation every March!
