The house was comfortable, beautiful, and well-supplied. The owners were friendly and accommodating, letting us check in early on the 4th of July. The garden was spectacular, the deck inviting and spacious. Everyone, from age 10 to 78, thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

This home was conveniently located to SantaBarbara, beaches, restaurants and more. The home was comfortable the owners who stayed in a separate dwelling on the property were warm and friendly. There are multiple outdoor seating areas and a lovely pool. If you are looking for a quiet retreat this is a great choice.

This property is absolutely amazing! Beautiful, well kept, perfect location that is quiet but close to everything. The yard is breathtaking and the pool and deck are spectacular for relaxing and for family fun. The hosts are wonderful--kind, helpful and so inviting. We hope to return again and again!

The home and property were just as described in the VRBO post. Plenty of outdoor space to chill and relax. Cute beach area at the far end of pool and deck. We were 5 (grandma, and family of four.) Comfortable indoor spaces. Bedrooms were comfortable with great bedding. Owners were nearby and checked in to see we had what we needed. Joan and Ed were lovely and their home was filled with love. We explored nearby beaches and the laid back Carpinteria beach town. Coming from Los Angeles we were thrilled and amazed at the lack of crowds. Lots of people enjoying the area and the beaches, but never a problem finding parking or having to wait in long lines.

We so enjoyed our stay, the home, outdoor gardens, deck and pool were a perfect venue for the long weekend. We were in town to visit family and attend a graduation. The property is lovingly mai tained and host and hostess great!

We stayed for our daughter's beach wedding in Carpintaria. The house gave great access to downtown Carpintaria and quick access to Santa Barbara. The house was well appointed and the back decks were a great place to hang out in comfort. There is a park at exit 90 (close to house) that provides good access to a very nice beach and if you like horses, you can check out the polo club which is also walking distance. Would stay there again if in the area.

We have had the most wonderful stay in Santa Barbara. Ed and Joan could not have been more accommodating, in touch, kind etc. The house is superbly equipped, clean, comfortable and the knock out for us was the pool, our 3 children adored it. As many reviews say, the photos don’t do it justice. Do not hesitate to book this, it is brilliant. Also, so so well located, wonderful beaches, restaurants, City. Enjoy!

My family and I stayed at Joan and Ed's beautiful home for 3 nights. The location was perfect and the pictures of the house don't do it justice! The house had everything we needed and more and the backyard was absolutely wonderful.

From the moment Ed picked us up (added bonus) he and his wife Joan could not have been more gracious.
The home and the property were immaculate. In fact the photos don’t do it justice.
The gardens, yard and pool had so many vantage points for maximum enjoyment.
This place lacks nothing and the ambiance will have you wanting to come back.

This home was perfect for our family of 4! The neighborhood is nice, home is clean, the beds are comfy, the grounds are truly something out of a magazine, and the location is perfect! We particularly loved the little beach town of Carpenteria - such a fun place, with cute stores and local restaurants. Santa Barbara is a quick 10 minute drive north, and Los Angeles is about 1.5 hours south (depending on traffic). The hosts are very easy to communicate with, and take obvious pride in their home. We hope to come back soon!

House was nice did have a little plumbing problem but Ed took care of it . I did loss my wedding ring with all the cleaning up of water in the kitchen . We still have a wonderful time . Ed did refund us $575.00 . Not quite a full nights stay but that's fine.

We absolutely loved our stay. The house and grounds are lovely. The garden and pool area is magnificent lush with gorgeous flowers, totally private, and has a huge covered deck with many seating options. Jacuzzi was very nice. The pool is great for little kids too with a large shallow area. The house was very comfortable, with a well stocked kitchen for utensils, etc. It's very close (less than 10 min drive) to Carpinteria, which has great restaurants and a fun, easy to access beach. It's also very close to downtown Santa Barbara which has amazing everything, including a great kids museum, tons of restaurants, vineyard tasting rooms, and definitely rent a Moke to tour it. The owners are super friendly, very responsive and a pleasure to rent from. We would definitely rent again!

Ed and Joan were wonderful hosts, who were friendly, responsive and also, respectful of our privacy. The backyard is absolutely amazing and our two little girls had a blast in the pool! We really enjoyed our stay in their beautiful home and came wait to go back again.

We saw the Santa Barbara area from a whole new perspective. Fun exploring and experiencing new things! Joan and Ed were wonderful hosts and served as concierge, too. We would love to return someday. Beautiful home.

This property provided a lovely, quiet location for our family getaway. The house has many upgrades, is quiet, the backyard is very private, and the pool and hot tub provided lots of enjoyment for our family. There are several spots to sit inside and outside which was perfect for those in our family working and doing school remotely. Ed and Joan responded to questions prior to our stay in a timely manner and greeted us warmly upon our arrival, (they stay on property in a studio apartment when the house is rented), and were respectful of our privacy. The area has beautiful beaches, restaurants and hiking trails nearby which we took advantage of during our stay. It's a great spot for a getaway!

Beautiful, quiet and serene. Close to beach and mountains. Great location. Thoroughly enjoyed spending time outside relaxing by the pool and Jacuzzi. Owners are easily accessible when needed and very respectful of our privacy. House felt super clean. We did not worry about Covid at all. Highly recommend!

Our daughter was married this weekend in a small justice of the peace ceremony. It was not the big wedding we had planned but beautiful and small. With family only. We did our wedding brunch at the house and had a lovely weekend. Thank you so much!

The property is beautiful, well-kept and serene. We came for just 3 nights as a way to give our college-age daughter a short break before her new school year begins. Two of her friends joined us and there was plenty of room for everyone. The back yard, pool and jacuzzi were perfect for just relaxing and having some laughs. Perfectly appointed house and wonderful hosts. A very short drive to Carpinteria, Summerland and Montecito and the beach is very close. Thanks so much and we hope to come again in the future.

This is a beautiful home with the most lovely garden, pool and amenities. The owners were so welcoming, friendly and kind and the love they have for this home shows. We didn't even need or want to leave the property. It had so much space for relaxing, eating and playing. We stayed earlier in the summer and immediately booked again for this past labor day. The location is perfect, the owners showed us a lovely hike that the whole family enjoyed steps from the front door. Its close to beautiful beaches, food, entertainment and breathtaking hikes. we walked the bluffs and enjoyed ourselves! I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is- its the perfect space for a rest! We will be back again!
