Perfect Beach House Ubicación !! Completamente remodelado este año con un estilo de playa de lujo de gama alta. Disfrutar de las magníficas vistas y la brisa de este hermoso, lujoso y espacioso piso de 3 dormitorios, más buhardilla, 2 baños casa.
Grandes vistas de la playa, el mar, el muelle de OB y puestas de sol desde la cubierta toda la sala de estar, balcón, comedor, cocina y azotea. Estamos cruzando la calle de la playa y el parque de Saratoga (gran zona de césped con mesas de picnic) y una de las mejores zonas de la playa para la natación, bodyboard y surf.
Esta es nuestra unidad más grande, que cuenta con una planta libre con pisos de madera tablones de ancho y está decorado en un estilo de playa de lujo clásico. La sala de estar, comedor, cocina y balcón frontal tamaño todos miran hacia el océano, el muelle y puestas de sol increíbles.
Esta unidad cuenta con una terraza grande, impresionante azotea con impresionantes vistas del océano, las colinas locales y al norte hacia La Jolla, incluso se puede disfrutar de los fuegos artificiales Sea World desde la cubierta! Estamos cruzando la calle de la playa ya 5 minutos a pie de la calle principal "Newport Ave" que tiene todos los restaurantes, bares y tiendas y el famoso muelle de la playa del océano.

The only issue was the upstairs rooms were extremely hot in July. Just one AC vent up there which did not cool the upstairs. Had to sleep on the couch.

We have been coming to OB for 17 years and this was our first time at OB Cottages… a 10 out of 10 experience. The property was clean and well stocked with towels, beach gear and kitchen supplies. Beds were super comfy and location is awesome; just steps to the beach. I texted the host and was always met with a quick response. We’ll be back!!

Spent 2 days and 2 nights at the Seagull Cottage. Located right across the street from the beach and just a few blocks from the main strip in Ocean Beach. The condo was great for the 6 of us (all adults) that stayed there. Appreciated that it was fully outfitted with beach towels, dishes, etc, The host was great about communications and booking. One thing that I didn't realize was the condo was upstairs, which was a little hard for my 91 year old mother-in-law to climb up. The unit has two floors, with the living room, kitchen, dining room and 2 full size bedrooms and 2 baths. The upstairs had a loft area with a bed (ok for a small adult like me but not for someone 6' or taller) connecting to a bedroom with 2 twin beds. I very much liked the place but gave it 4 stars rather than 5 because some items in the place needed repair (e.g., broken toilet paper holders in both baths, missing blinds in the upstairs loft bedroom) and there was no coffee to use in the coffee maker.

Accommodations were great, everything need for an enjoyable stay. However, I wish I would have done more research about the beach area. Very interesting groups of people hanging around, many homeless, fights on the beach, plenty of beach police around. We witnessed a brawl from the balcony and had to give statements. Never a dull moment that’s for sure!

I was expecting a lot more for the price, and it was upstairs which was not disclosed, the railings on the stairs were covered with slime and rust, the tv didn’t work and even after they replaced the batteries the tv would not turn off or change volume, and the bedroom lights flickered like strobe lights which they didn’t fix. I never received the code to open the outside gate so the cleaners let me in. There also is a homeless encampment right across the street that never moved. But we loved the ocean view and the beds were comfortable but there were no paper towels provided and I kept forgetting to buy them.

Ocean Beach Cottages was the perfect stay for our family. The location was awesome - walk to everything and the top floor deck was the highlight for us to hang out together. We would definitely stay again.

Great location close to the ocean. Manager was responsive. A few things need attention like broken toilet paper holders and towel rack. The loft gets hot when you close the windows and we could not figure out how to get the AC working. Loved the supply of beach chairs, sand toys and boogie boards! Off street parking a plus.

Our family visited the area to attend the MCRD graduation. We had 2 nephews graduate and earn the title of Marines. Location was great, easy to find and parking was perfect for our bigger SUV. The condo was perfect for us, close to all of the fun places to eat as well as beautiful walks on the beach. Would highly recommend this condo!

Previously, we have always stayed in Mission Beach, but thought we'd give Ocean Beach a try this year. The access to the beach is excellent and the view includes the beach and sunset. Just a few blocks away are many restaurants and shops. There is even a grocery store within walking distance. We enjoyed sampling many of the restaurants. The Wednesday afternoon Farmers' Market was really fun.

Clean, easy place to base for week in San Diego. Fun Ocean Beach vibe and nice swimming beach block from the door. All the beach extras you'll need - towels, umbrellas, beach chairs, boogie boards available to borrow.

The booking and check in process was easy. However, the pics and description were not accurate. The couch and chairs were not even usable. You immediately sunk into them and they need to be replaced immediately. The living room space was not usable at all for us. The cleaning crew was just finishing when we got there to check in and the floors were still wet once we gained entry but overall it was clean. There was a missing remote in the upstairs room also. The area around the cottage was dirty and it smelled of urine. There was dog poop smeared on the sidewalks. The locals were not friendly, the area in general was run down, and there was a lot of homeless population around.

The place was absolutely perfect for us four adults to enjoy the weekend graduation celebrations with our family. I rent out on VRBO myself and I manage my own property. I have found the properties managed by companies are typically not kept as well, but this property was safe, clean, accommodating, and just what we needed.

The house was great! Great location right across the street from the beach; the street is quiet too. Lots of walkable shops and restaurants The unit we stayed in was super cute cozy with a great view of the beach.
The tub in the master is divine. The weather during our stay wasn't great for water activities, but it's really nice there were enough towels and boogie boards, etc. available. Everyone had a great time and many comments were made about coming back to this house with their family or next time they were in town. I'd love to come back in the summer myself. We had a great time when we stayed at Seagull Cottage. It is so close to all the tourist attractions and a quick walk to restaurants, plus the beach is literally steps away. You can’t go wrong booking this place.

Great Location for the beach, Newport Ave. beds were super comfy, living and dining furniture we not comfortable for social gathering for any extended amount of time. Not quite as spacious as the pictures appear. overall it as a pleasurable experience and again the location is great!

Perfect stay at this clean, super functional property. Host was incredibly accommodating with my last-minute reservation. Cross the street to the beach, which was wonderful. Upstairs bedroom/loft combo was great for the kids. All in all, a wonderful spot.

Fun place to stay
Great apartment, clean and well outfitted. The area down the street isn’t well kept and can be a bit sketchy though. Overall we enjoyed our stay and we’re happy with it all.

Great (delayed) Family Gathering
Our family gathered from all over the US (North Carolina, Illinois, California) to celebrate Christmas (one year delayed due to COVID) at the beach and this was a wonderful location! Great restaurants within walking distance. Everything we needed was a 10-15 minutes drive. The property management was very quick to respond & resolve a couple of lighting issues. HIGHLY recommend! Just want to point out the obvious: due to the proximity to San Diego Airport, the airplane noise is loud; on the flight path. The light sleepers in our party had a hard time getting deep, good sleep.

Great family getaway!
Overall was a great experience. Close to the beach, shops and touristy adventures. Strange to have no kitchen condiments and spices. Assume this was due to Covid. House was as described and taken care of. Beds and furnishings were comfortable and in good condition. Area does deal with homeless population and some drug use. Police do patrol the area and try to keep campers moving along. The locked gates to the property did help with the sense of safety. Designated parking was appreciated! I would recommend to anyone looking for a beach getaway!

Good Location
Walking distance to the beach and downtown. Great views from the house and balcony. Only downfall was the weak WiFi reception and noise on our last night (Wednesday). Had problems streaming in two of the bedrooms and there was a large party in the park down the street which kept us awake. Not sure if it’s a chronic problem.

Perfect location for some OB culture
I live just outside San Diego and had some cousins in for a visit from back east, I wanted to make sure they got a couple of days of California Beach Culture before they flew back so I rented the house for a couple of nights before their flight and gave them the "locals" advice on where to eat, etc. They loved it! We joined them for the last night and it made the trip to the airport first thing in the morning much faster too. Even with Covid restrictions, there's plenty of OB Culture to enjoy. Mahalo.

Beach house very close to the Beach
We had a great time in San Diego the home was super convenient to the beach Access, restaurants and stores just around the corner. My only thing was that they had cannabis Festival and a farmers market that was super crowded, with tons of people not socially distancing, no masks and smoking weed so much we couldn’t leave the patio doors open. The Chanting circle could be heard til 2:00 in the morning. So if visiting check San Diego event calendar. Other than that we used beach chairs and umbrella which was very helpful. Also very close to San Diego Zoo.
