This house is beautiful! Plenty of space and beds for our group of 8. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we enjoyed the pool table downstairs. Having dock access is a must for us, so this house also met that criteria. As other reviews have said, there are a lot of stairs, but we didn’t have a problem. Great weekend at Lake Barkley! We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time. Gary was very attentive to any questions we had. The house is very nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. All the appliances are updated and there is an excellent grill on the deck. I would definitly recommend this property.

This property was exactly as it was listed. Lots of room for everyone to spread out. The owners were very helpful and even addressed an issue with the power on the dock for us so we could utilize it and the lights during our stay for fishing. Great week of relaxing and fishing! Would definitely stay again.

Our family trips for the past few years we have gone to Lake Cumberland. This was our first trip to Lake Barkley and it was everything we were hoping for. Gary and Theresa contacted us within a couple hours of checking in to make sure everything was okay. The house had everything we needed. Beautiful home!

This was our second time here. It's an ideal space for a small group. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Comfortable sleeping spaces. Very well-stocked kitchen. Beautiful view of the lake.

My four sisters and I had a great time together at this beautiful house on Lake Barkley. The owners, Gary and Teresa, met us upon arrival and were very attentive to our questions about the property and surrounding area. Their communication was excellent. The house is a short drive to restaurants and grocery and about a 45 minute drive to Patti’s Settlement in Grand Rivers. We would highly recommend this house and would definitely stay again.

Lovely clean property. Easy access. Quite a few atepa down to lake. Kitchen stocked except for paper towels and garbage bags and dishwasher cleaners. Good Wi-Fi. Nice firepit with wood and chairs. Nice deck overlooking the lake. Electronics all worked

We had a great time at Gary's property. We reached out to him once with a question and he was very responsive and helpful. We cooked at the house quite a bit and found the kitchen to be well stocked with staples (cutting boards, silverware, crock pot, coffee pot, pots & pans, etc.). We loved the dock access and the kids were able to jump off and swim around and fish and have a generally good time.

We decided to have our family reunion at Lake Barkley, and this was one of five homes our family rented in the area. The home was very comfortable and nicely furnished. The three levels of this home allowed ten of us to spread out comfortably. We enjoyed sitting out on the decks with our morning coffee and looking out on the lake. A couple people had to work remotely and the Wifi allowed for that. The Wifi stopped working once and eventually started again. The walk to the dock was long with rest spots and chairs along the way. Four people in our group used the stairs as a morning workout routine with one person completing 12 cycles! It was nice to have a dock as we rented a pontoon boat for a couple days. Overall, we had a great time!

Property was very clean and well maintained .the owners Gary and Teresa were very friendly and accessible if we had any questions. There is a lot of stairs to the boat dock and the drive is a bit of a challenge if you are pulling a boat. The Harper House restaurant has some of the best food you will find anywhere. Overall we had an awesome time

Nice modern place with plenty of room and amenities. Awesome location just off Lake Barkley with covered boat slip. Stairs to/from boat slip a challenge for older guests or guests with leg/hip issues...but resting spots provided for breaks. Pool table and kitchenette in basement was a hit for us. Some of the matresses and box springs are ready for replacement but overall comfortable large bedrooms.15min to groceries and other stores. Highly recommend and will stay again if we're ever back out that way.

The property has been well maintained and very comfortable! Plenty of room for everyone…for a family of 8, we never felt cramped! Loved the sunsets and the nights by the fire as well as the convenience of the dock and marina to go boating during the day!

I brought six lifelong friends to golf and play cards for a three day weekend. The house was exactly as presented on the site- absolutely beautiful! Literally nothing to complain about. Gary was available to answer questions and couldn’t have been any nicer. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

This home was absolutely perfect for a fall trip! Feels very private at the end of the cul-de-sac. Wonderful views of the trees and water. Great layout of bedrooms/bathrooms, extremely clean and spacious. Great parking area as well. Would definitely recommend!

The home was very nice and had all the amenities for our whole family. Getting to the boat dock from the house is a 94 step walkway. Good workout but not for the faint of heart. Nice sunsets!

We had family from tennessee come for dinner! The home was perfect for our mexican feast from " No WAY JOSE'S" . GARY AND THERESA thought of everything we could possibly need.including propane for the quality very well kept grill to soap and LOADS of wii games! The bed in the main level was excellent. I personally loved the pillows. We played hide and seek alot thats our family thing! The reasonable price with High quality amenities made our yearly family vaca fantastic!! We try different places every labor day weekend around Tennessee and Kentucky. We meet there because we come from 5 different states and its centrally located. So far this was our favorite!! Thanks again Gary and Theresa for supplying such a gem for important family memories!!!

From start to finish, we had a great experience with VRBO and the owners of our weekend rental! It’s a terrific lakefront location with everything we could need or imagine right there in this home waiting for us. Amenities were fantastic. We spent a day at Venture River and the rest of the time enjoying the home with all the scenic views, fire pit every night, and a game night every night! Our Annual Road Trip
For our annual road trip we chose KY because we never been there. It's a beautiful with a beautiful that accommodated our large family. It had everything we needed. Beautiful sunsets. Great hosts. We highly recommend.

Great family vacation
The house was beautiful and well accommodated our group of 11. The kitchen was well stocked and the owners supply many necessary items; dishwasher tabs, toilet paper, laundry supplies and paper towels. Three floors gave each family some privacy but still kept us close together. The boat dock was great for fishing and the boat ramp is directly across the lake which made it very convenient. There are lots of steps and they are steep getting to the dock but the landings give you time for a little breather and even have sitting areas at each. We enjoyed the house and would recommend it to others. The Hendricks were always there if we had a question and even met us for our grandson’s stuffed turtle that was left behind.

Beautiful house and perfect location!
This house is even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. It’s obvious the owners take great care of this property and they were great to rent from! The house was super clean, the kitchen was extremely well stocked and the location was amazing! We had 4 adults and 5 children ranging in age from 6-13 and everyone had plenty of space. The beds were comfortable and having a full bathroom on each floor was so nice. We rented a boat from the marina around the corner (Moon River who were also awesome), and spent the majority of every day on the lake. Having the dock was essential and the seclusion of this property was heavenly. The kids are already asking when we can go back. I’d definitely recommend this house!

Fabulous Sunsets
The name says it all. Sunset Cove sits high on a ridge overlooking Lake Barkley. It’s perfectly sited for viewing the multi-hued sunsets every evening. The floor plan was perfect for our large multigenerational family providing bedrooms and baths on three levels that provided privacy and quiet when needed. The well-equipped kitchen included soaps, dish towels, dishes and just about every appliance needed for eating in. We thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit and lakefront access as well.

Beautiful home!
Beautiful home. Very clean. Extremely well-stocked kitchen (we love to cook)! The only thing missing were really good knives (but we expect those to be missing and brought our own). All ages loved the pool table. And the various nooks were wonderful for catching up in smaller groups. And for keeping a jigsaw puzzle going. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Week
We stayed at the house for a week with our 3 adults kids and 4 grandkids. We had a fantastic time. The house is beautiful and perfect for the kids. All the kids stayed on the lower level. The scenery is beautiful and the kids loved the lizards and toads they saw. We rented a pontoon boat from a rental place called “Enjoy Lake Barkley”. I would never recommend renting from them. The pontoon was in terrible condition. We found the people at the Lake Barkley Marina very friendly and would go there if we come again. The lake was very warm, but shallow and not as clean as I prefer. It did not deter us from swimming though.
