The back door that leads to the beach is broken and they have used a piece of wood to keep it together and it actually cut three peoples hands due to the way it is rigged up. The refrigerator barely kept food luke warm, the cabinets are falling off the hinges and the flooring is all starting to peel and pop up. Do not waste your time renting this house its expensive for the condition and needs to be sold so the new owners will actually fix this house. total disappointment other than the location. The location is great but at some point you need to go back into the house and thats disappointing.

Stairs down to the beach are loose and bowing, kids tripped on the loose boards and got pretty cut up during our stay. Doors out to patio and beach don’t work properly. They are really good for getting mashed fingers! Mold on ceiling in upstairs showers. Windows don’t shut all the way and have towels shoved in them to keep water out. The house is in pretty bad shape which is really sad because it could be a beautiful place. Tidelife company was EXCELLENT to work with! I would DEFINITELY rent from them again, just not this house.

Refrigerator and freezer on and off (had to store food in coolers most of the time,)dryer wore out and ruined a couple hundred dollars worth of clothes, carpet tack strip sticking up and injured several guest, AC cannot cool upstairs (no shades and windows will not fully close), some bed springs and mattresses are completely shot, lots of dog hair in downstairs master bed and bath and the list could go on. I have spent the last eight years at Pawleys Island and have never been more disappointed in a rental. I do understand that there was a hurricane last Oct. but these problems are due to neglect not weather ! I am not a hard person to please but a feel I was ripped off with this rental and I plan to let it be known. Tidelife Vacation Rentals did a great job handling problems we had but some things just could not be fixed.

It was nice to have such big living rooms, though another couch and/or loveseat would have helped. We had 10 people and that left 3 in table chairs. We appreciated being able to bring our dog though this house is on the south end of the island and is a little close to the street. The house needs some tlc with a couple window and doors needing new hardware and overall paint.

The house itself if in poor condition from a maintenance perspective (furniture and beds are great) that has actually deteriorated since the previous stay, which is actually a bit of an accomplishment... There are legitimate safety concerns most notable are the complete lack of functioning external door locks as well as obvious damage to the underneath support framework. Mold is readily visible within the house and also the shadow of what seemed to be former smoke detectors are visible (I am not saying these are not replaced somewhere else because they likely were, this just came up in a post stay discussion with friends and given the current maintenance condition it seemed concerning). The house is currently for sale and unfortunately seems to be deteriorating toward “tear down” status, which is unfortunate. Overall though, the inside of the house is very comfortable and the furniture is in great condition and the house was very clean and well kept. Overall I would probably not be eager to recommend this house to a friend but may stay again ourselves if the situation dictates. Tidelife was amazing to work with and I recommend them 100%. Tidelife was a pleasure to work with and responded to a number of our requests, unfortunately, the HVAC units needed to be replaced, rather than repaired, so we struggled with temperature control.
Although the house was thoroughly cleaned before we arrived, doors and windows that didn't seal properly allowed sand to blow in and we were constantly sweeping and vacuuming. The carpet should have been replaced years ago.
There was also some black mold in an upstairs bathroom.
The dishwasher required skill to open and close and the countertops were downright scary.

Suzanne was amazing, helping to locate a beautiful beach house that is dog friendly. 'Dolphin View' sits right on the water at Pawleys ... as well as creekside! The house is gorgeous, and we fell in love with it. We even called a professional photographer to take our engagement pictures there. We even happened to meet the owner, and he was a wonderful gentleman. If it wasn't already rented the week we plan to return in August, we would definitely rent it again. In future years, this will be our 'go to' vacation rental.I have already referred all of my family to Suzanne, knowing that they would receive the very best care.

There was something for all to do. Laying on the beach, walking, fishing. We cooked what we caught, had a shrimp boil with shrimp purchased from the man that sells on the corner. We dined out in Pawleys and also drove up to Murrells Inlet for dining. We rode bikes, kayaked creek side. It was a great vacation. And a special thanks to Tidelife Vacation Rentals. The huge family room upstairs is fantastic, but with a toddler, it was easier to stay on main floor for family time that wasn't on beach. Most of the windows are in need of repair/replacement. This has allowed some water damage to the property. Tidelife does a great job preparing the home and responds immediately to any requests. This property is listed for sale but needs exterior repairs to stop the deterioration. It's not beautifully furnished yet is comfortably furnished. And hey, IT'S A BEACH HOUSE! You're supposed to be outside unless sleeping. It is a fantastic property. If it hasn't sold by next year, we'll be back at Dolphinview.

We enjoyed being right on the beach, and the porch provided a wonderful place to admire the ocean view! Kitchen had all conveniences you might need. Wish there had been just a little more seating in the downstairs living area. Upstairs also had more living room space which was quite nice, but we found we wanted to be all together on the main floor. Everything was clean and beds were fine. Enjoyed fishing and kayaking in the creek out front. Close to grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping. Plenty of parking under the house. Had lots of room on the beach; not crowded at all!! Wonderful time!

Working with Tidelife vacation rentals was a breeze, would use them anytime we travel back to Pawley's. The house was great for a huge party that have kids. Plenty of bedroom and space for everyone to run around. Don't have to worry about breaking anything or ruining anything cause this house in particular is pretty run down. Windows are fixed with tape or plywood over it, doors locks are in pretty bad shape, our bed wed nearly broken. With all this said, we got a great deal on the house (would have been pretty upset if we paid full price) and it worked for the low key, casual group that we had. If you are looking for something super nice, this is not your place, but if you are looking for lots of bedrooms, space and unbeatable location, this is the house for you.

The paint, new doors and windows, deck furniture, etc. all looked the part of high end beach house. The inside doesn't match the fittings of the outside, but that's part of updating a home. It was certainly comfortable, and our group didn't have any real issues. The showers are a bit small, but functional, the furnishings were dated but still comfortable, etc. So the outside is multi-million in its appearance, and the interior doesn't keep up, but is just fine. The view is priceless. It's a quiet beach, and can you really beat the Atlantic as your backyard? No. What a place! The management company was responsive and easy to work with, so no issues there. All in all, a wonderful place to stay. Not to mention the fact that Caledonia, True Blue, and the Heritage Club were all barely 10 mins away. It was a great trip.

While the bedrooms and other areas still need work, it did not matter to us because the views and outdoor areas were unbelievable! Most of the time was spent outdoors on the beach or on the porches, and I imagine that most renters will do the same. The scenery is some of the most beautiful that I have ever seen and I have travelled to beaches around the world. We absolutely loved the beach, the dock, the views, and the house in general. If you are not overly concerned with the interior being renovated, you will love the home as much as we did. Thank you so much and we hope to rent this house again soon :)
