Sandbridge Beach Retreat with Great Screened Porches and new pool!

We enjoyed this vacation even though our weather was less than desirable. Having the pool was great since it was raining a little bit every day and the walk to the beach was nice! The road the house was on was a little busy, so we had to walk our bikes to the street behind to ride, which was fine. The only complaint is a weed that was growing in the back lawn. It had burrs on it that stuck and hurt badly! So we couldn’t play anything in the back unless it was inside the pool area. Hosts communicated great!

Our kids loved the house. We enjoyed the pool so much. Our kids got the biggest kick out of their room being off the breezeway. The beach is a very short walk and we spent a lot of time there as well. My only complaint is the house has some plant somewhere in the yard that leaves very sharp tiny objects outside and we had to always be wearing sandals and watch out for them.

Great stay at this beautiful house. Perfect for our family of 5. The pool was amazong to have and the owners were absolutely wonderful. So kind and responsive, we had everything we needed. Great week. We love sandbridge!

There were 4 adults and 2 kids (10 and 7) staying here and it was perfect. The pool is beautiful and great for either before or after the beach. Speaking of the beach, it’s a very short walk to the beach with many access areas nearby. Our family took our bikes and enjoyed riding the almost 10 mile trail that starts in Back Bay. The rooms were clean and cool and the “breeze way” was an amazing place to read or just relax in the evening and have a cup of coffee in the morning.
We look forward to coming back in the years to come!

This was perfect for 5 adults and 2 children. Plenty of room in dining/living room. Kitchen was on small side but well stocked. We grilled every time we ate in so wasn’t an issue for us. The pool was a great bonus!! Walk to beach was an easy distance. Will definitely stay here again.

Personally would have preferred a propane grill (we knew it was charcoal when we booked so no surprises there!). The charcoal grill was in good shape and we used it every day, sometimes twice a day!
Nice screened in decks with nice views.
The pool was amazing! Great size for us (4 adults).
There were beach chairs, beach umbrellas provided.
The AC worked great in the entire house.
Beach access was 1 house away - VERY convenient!!
I would definitely stay there again!

This was an absolutely beautiful and interesting home to stay for our vacation! The lay out was perfect for our daughter to "have her own space". The home could use a couple tiny updates/fixes but nothing that stopped us from enjoying our stay! Definitely a cool, old beachy vibe! Communication with the owner was also easy and quick! Overall 5 stars!

I have a 4 and 6 year old. The 2 extra bedrooms are detached from the house and are secured by individual dead bolts to securely lock. My kids cannot open or close a dead bolt with a key, so if you have young children and are reading this, make sure you/they will be comfortable locking themselves in their rooms. Would be ideal for pre teens and older! The breezeway has 2 hook and eye locks on the screen doors, so we didn’t feel comfortable leaving them out on the breezeway with the deadbolts unlocked. That being said, the house was charming, very clean and very comfortable! We loved the potted flowers on the breezeway and the pool was wonderful and clean!

We had a great time here. Enjoyed the pool every day and watching the sunrise with dolphins! Nice short walk to the beach. Hope to be back next year.

We had a great experience staying here! The house is a short, easy walk to the beach. The pool, laundry room, outdoor shower and screened in porch were stellar! You can tell how much the owner appreciates the history of this house. We would definitely stay again!

In short, it's everything Don says it is and more. The kids loved the breezeway that separates the spaces, the pool was amazing and the short walk to the beach was perfect.

Loved our 5th year in this cute house! The new living room layout is great, much more spacious, though the table is a little too small for 2,000 piece puzzles now lol

It's an older beach house with a cool vintage feel that we liked. The screened-in breezeway with 2 bedrooms on the other side was a great layout for us, although I could see parents with very small children being worried. Everything at the house worked fine. A nice supply of books and games to keep us busy. Don was very responsive and helpful. At one point we managed to lock ourselves out, but a quick phone call to him fixed the situation. Overall, a great vacation week!

This was a great vacation. The house met all our needs, was very clean and loaded with dishes, glasses, cooking items, etc. towels and linens were supplied and greatly appreciated. The new pool is wonderful.

Great rustic feel, beautiful screened in porch space, comfortable and accommodating. The pool is beautiful. The check-in process was easy and smooth. I personally didn't mind the short walk to the beach, but family members with more health problems would have preferred something closer to the water. I wouldn't plan to cook anything crazy in the kitchen during the height of summer, as the air conditioning does get overtaxed, but for a quick meal on the stovetop it works just fine. Tons of dishware and normal cookware are provided.

Family tradition!
This was our fourth year staying here with our friends and family. We love the unique character of the house, proximity to the beach and nature preserve, and cool little restaurants in the area. The addition of the pool this year was just icing on the cake.

We spent most of our time here and we loved it! The house was clean of germs but dusty. Would have loved to have seen it updated with modern or vintage decor/furniture. The owner was super responsive to us when we reached out. A great value...we would stay there again!

Great Beach Getaway
My teens and I really enjoyed staying at this adorable retro-style beach home. Clean, comfortable, and very close to the gorgeous beach (third row from the beach). Beach has amazing waves! House is older but well-equipped with all amenities (dishwasher, huge washer and dryer, A/C, outdoor shower, tons of books and board games) Owners responded quickly to questions. A great way to end our summer!

Vacation
Very clean! Loved the lay out...it will be even better when our 6 year olds are older and will sleep in the bunk bed room!! Having the screened in breeze way with sitting areas was great and one end was always shaded depending on the time of day. You are able to control the AC temperature for each room. Would definitely stay again!

Excellent beach house.
This beach house was perfect for us. Very close to the beach and had everything we needed. The screened in porch was a great place to drink my coffee in the morning. The rooms are all nicely air conditioned and very comfy. I would definitely stay here again.
