The cabin is clean, beds a little soft but fine. Kitchen is good and plenty of pots/pans/dishes etc. However, the layout of the cabin is not what I would have expected. One of the bathrooms is off the covered patio and is essentially outside which might be great for hunters and fishermen who want to clean up before entering, but was not so great for us. We were two couples who had to share one bathroom while expecting to each have our own because it was listed as 2 beds, 2 bathrooms. It wasn't a serious problem for a short weekend, but the description did not make it clear that there was only one bathroom inside the actual living area. For the price we paid, I would have booked elsewhere had I understood the layout.
The location is good for people who want to fish as it is a few minutes to the lake. We thought we could swim, but the shoreline is very muddy so best would probably be to drive elsewhere, we just decided to skip the swimming as it was overcast and rainy half the time. I would recommend the place to people who have a boat or just want to fish or relax. Definitely in a quiet area.

The host quickly responded to messages and made my first stay with VRBO easy. The cabin was adorable and rustic. The power went out but they had candles on hand. The water was not easily accessible from the cabin but there was a nice swim area within walking distance. I do recommend renting the Catfish Cabin.

This was the perfect getaway for my family and I. A quick 1.5 hours from DFW and it feels like you getaway. Fall (October) was the perfect time to visit. Sherwood Shores Park has a nice beach, walking distance from the property. Lake Texoma is beautiful. The campfires were awesome. We made very special memories and had quiet time to hear God and get in His Word! It was a blessed trip and we hope to go back again one day too. If you are looking to get away, hang in the woods, make quality memories and aren't so bougee you need a fancy hotel, this place will meet your needs! Remember, it's called the catfish cabin!! :)

furniture is little worn and sink in and chairs at table leg brace coming apart,.was expecting icemaker and wifi- not connected to internet. But this is a neat little cabin and decor is great. For two couples each having their own bathroom and both bedrooms. We never ran out of hot water, kitchen is very well stocked, and ac worked flawless and did toilets. We had a great time fishing and running around, and the cabin was trouble free. I highly recommend if you come to have fun and not needing internet. Out phone ran off our carrier data and several good restaurants close and marina and Charley Stringer was a great guide and we limited out. I would not think twice about booking again.

While the name may be a little misleading it was an excellent place to get away and relax. It was much more than expected, in a good way, and the host was very considerate. Definitely be a go to place for future vacations.

Nice clean cabin. Jim had great communication from beginning to end. Both rooms have comfortable king size beds. Kitchen was fully stocked and there were ample amounts of linens provided. We used the backyard for grilling on the charcoal grill and hanging out. We had a minor plumbing issue that Jim resolved as soon as he could. The cabin is a 5 minute drive to Cedar Mills marina. There’s a Texaco and a Dollar General also about 5 minutes away. Would absolutely stay here again!

The only reason for not getting 5 star in all categories was some smell of smokers in the laundry area. None in the main house. I would definitely recommend. Great value!

We enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of room for our family of 5 and close to the water! It was a little tricky pulling the boat into the driveway, but my husband was able to do it pretty easily once he figured out the best direction coming down the side road and entry.

Perfect for our trip. Close to the water, close to our fishing guide. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were perfect for our situation. Cabin was clean and well stocked. It was the second time staying on this property. Will come back again!
