We love homes with history and French Cottage was a wonderful blend of old character and new conveniences. The property was spotlessly clean with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. The kitchen had all the tools required to cook up a storm and was stocked with essentials and treats for pre dinner nibbles on the verandah, terrace or in the beautiful French inspired garden. We were spoiled for choice. The beds were super comfortable, the showers hot and the couch so easy to sink into. Thank you to our host, Joanne, who gave us lots of useful information and was so responsive to all our questions. There were only three of us for this trip, and we loved it, but we look forward to returning with a larger group of friends or family to really give the dining table and kitchen a work out!

The ensued toilet was not working properly when I rang to have it attended to the manager said "what do you sant me to do about it?" Not professional at all. It was never working properly for our 4 day stay. Everything else was perfect

I loved the feel of the cottage and the way it was decorated. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, the garden was lovely. The location was great.

This little cottage is absolutely divine!! The location is perfect, its only a short stroll to the town centre and Lake Sambell. It took our breath away when we opened the front door and stepped inside. Everything is beautiful and so clean!! The garden is stunning with a beautiful wrap around verandah and a fantastic alfresco, a great spot for a wine and cheese platter. We didn't want to leave and will definitely book again!!

Location is good. Garden pretty. House would be a lovely place to stay if there were adequate cleaning products and it was thoroughly cleaned between stays. Outdoor rubbish bin in kitchen is inadequate. No toilet roll holder in main bathroom.

Needs a deep clean. Needs toilet roll holder in main bathroom. Needs some basic condiments in kitchen... not just stuff other tenants have left behind. Heating is poorly managed; access to a thermostat that controls the whole house rather than trying to guess what settings on each hydronic unit would heat each room to would be far better. My parents nearly cooked themselves on the first night.

The cottage is spectacular. So many little details to make the home have a French cottage feel and every room has its outstanding comforts! The cottage is designed beautifully and all the features and appliances are of the highest standard. The gardens are wonderful. We spent hours in the garden and on the verandah reading and enjoying the red wine that the hosts left for us. Beds were super comfortable and we couldn't wait each night to tuck into bed and enjoy a fabulous night sleep. Again all bedding was of he highest standard, including soaps, lotions, shampoo, conditioner. The hosts leave all the basics in the kitchen such as local apples and honey, salt, pepper and other condiments. The kitchen is super well stocked and has everything you need. Drinking our coffee in the sunlit kitchen or verandah was a real treat. The house is also located close to the lake and local shops as well as some great restaurants. This cottage was better than expected and one of the best homes I have stayed in. We will definitely be back!

Peaceful location but near enough to the town centre to walk in and out. Lovely birds visiting the garden. Very comfortable beds and overall we found the property a great place to relax.

Comfortable, although either an inside or outside fire place would be a great addition. Beautifully clean, with all that one may require. Beds were cosy and warm. Heating was automatic and worked brilliantly. Easy walk to town and its many restaurants, cafes and shops 👍

Nothing, the property was fabulously old, unique and beautiful. Whilst receiving a lovely basket of local goodies, it was slightly disconcerting that Joanne had let herself into the property, when we were out. Phone message was received, post the delivery., that aside the produce was thoughtful and delicious 👍

The property is full of character and tastefully decorated. It is cosy and we really liked the spill out verandah off the kitchen area. Our weather was poor and we did not have use of the outdoor garden, but the verandahs allowed us to have a cuppa and watch the inclement weather pass through. Kitchen utensils etc were excellent for baking and serving. Had some day visitors and coped with the extra mouths ( plates etc) easily. All linen and towels and bathroom accessories provided, and to a high standard. We enjoyed the dryer and washing machine to dry off our wet clothing after our walks. Loved the limed flooring and no shoes in house policy was easily adhered to. We were nice and warm with excellent quiet wall heaters. The back bedroom is perfect - roomy and wonderful vistas.

Parking was out the front but with hail we had no where to park the car in shelter. Was hail damaged. Was an unusual occurence ... however in summer your car may get very hot too! A full length mirror would have been nice for us girls getting ready... and as we had very bad weather, we commented on a open fire/coonara would be befitting.....

The house had everything we needed, communication was good re how to access the keys and the expectations from the owners, gardens were well kept, great quiet location at night. We had a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend to others.

We had a lovely stay , if I had to critique I would say the outdoor/back porch area we had to clean before we could use it. And Booking.com said we would be met on arrival, there was no one there. however a quick call to Joanne and we had a code. A very picturesque place to visit with great history 😊

A very comfortable little cottage that we could keep toasty warm by turning on the heating system. Very comfy bed and good kitchen. Only a short distance in to town. Nice little private garden
