The home was very clean and had everything you need to make you feel at home. Such a comfortable home and very private. The serenity of sitting on the back deck or lower patio in the evenings was wonderful. It’s close to the beach. So close you can hear the ocean. Our trip was perfect! Will definitely be back and would recommend this home for a relaxing, worry free stay! The host was wonderful. Thanks for being a part of mine and my husband’s wonderful 2022 beach getaway!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property and we pretty much lived on the screened-in deck. The house also has a great layout otherwise. We are avid runners but don’t really like running on the beach (the slope, LOL) and the grid-like set-up of the neighborhood made for great running. It’s super easy to either walk or drive to the beach and the section of beach that is best accessible from the property is one of the nicest in terms of expansiveness of the beach and quieter level of traffic. Overall, a great stay for us and the pups!!!

Had a great time. It was quite and peaceful- just what we were looking for! We kayaked the canals and stargazed by the beach. Loved it here. Beware of the catus! It definitely caught us by surprise.

The house is absolutely beautiful. Horses came right up to the house! Quiet and relaxing with beautiful sunsets! Katrina was Johnny on the spot with any questions we had. Will definitely be back!

Katrina and her husband were great to work with and awesome hosts. The house is even better than described. As all say, the horses, wow! Walked right up past us and we just stood in awe. House is very well equipped. Only regret was not able to bring the food we needed on first trip in because Jeep was full. Could have just spent more time enjoying the area. Hopefully will be back sooner than later. Thanks.

The house was great...all elements were very accommodating and it served as a great location to get away for our vacation. You cannot truly appreciate how remote the house is until you actually venture there, which took us by surprise for our first trip there. Once there, it was a great location. The screened in porch and lower entertaining area were great for our family and we really enjoyed the property.

Waited a few days to write a review to give me time to reflect. In doing so, I can honestly say that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My wife has talked about it everyday since. Driving on the beach was tricky at first but by the end of the week, I was as comfortable at driving as a local. Saw many horses, which my granddaughter (6yo) found to be very exciting. Beaches were always perfect. Sandy beach all the way out to the 3rd break. We swam, surfed, boogie boarded, skim boarded, paddle board, body surfed, every day excepted one. That day we went crabbing (at the park maybe 1.5 mis away).. The house.. was very nice, clean, and well set up. Everyone slept well, plenty of room. Outside bar area was used.. often! Drank, ate and played cornhole on the large covered patio. Really couldn't use the canal. There was a dredger barge work set up plus the cacti made it tricky to walk to the edge anyway.... All n All, I am very happy I rented this place. It was a vacation that we will be talking about for a very long time. Thank you Katrina!!

The check in was easy; Katrina made sure that we were able to check in without issues. The property was clean and comfortable. My kids loved spending every day at the beach and playing in the surf. We walked the beach just across the VA state line and found sand dollars and conch shells. We spent one afternoon in Duck getting donuts and walking around. We enjoyed being a little more remote and having a more laid back environment than the hustle and bustle of town. The house was easy enough to access with a 4x4 SUV. We loved our vacation, and Im sure my kids will cherish it for many years.

We loved everything about our stay! Our kids loved the horses and we spent the majority of our time on the screened in porch. Our kids loved swinging on the patio downstairs in the evening too. The house was clean and just what we needed. We absolutely recommend this house for families with small children or anyone who is looking for a relaxing week.

This house is awesome! Showers are especially great, as is the kitchen! Clean, well stocked, great appliances. Beds were comfortable, walking distance to the beach which is gorgeous! Saw horses every day in the yard and underneath the coveted porch on lower level! Fantastic experience! House has a loved feel to it! We will definitely be back!

We loved our stay. The location is very quiet and private. Beautifully decorated and well stocked. I always bring a small amount of must needed kitchen items from home, but honestly didn't need them with this kitchen. The porch was in the process of being screened in and will be wonderful when completed. More than one of us enjoyed a little nap at on the patio, very comfy. Really enjoyed being able to bring our dogs on vacation too.

This was our first visit to OBX and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Driving along the beach to reach your beautiful home was a thrilling start to our vacation (and my husband favorite part). Our boys were up every morning before logging on to school to go fishing in the canal and went paddle boarding for recess. Best of all, the HORSES! Our last night we enjoyed s’mores by the bon fire only to have a couple of horses and a foal join us.....Magical!!🐴

Beautiful house with everything we needed. Perfect place to escape COVID. We spent everyday on our own private piece of beach with our two boys and dogs. Owners could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Already looking forward to a future visit.

This place is just perfect, even more today with social distancing requirements. If you enjoy nature, private beaches and like a lil bit of adventure driving on the beach, look no further. This brand new house offers all that and still is modern, well equipped, spotless, stylish and extremely functional. Open floorplan with 3 bedrooms and 3 showers, including the one outside which I have used every single day!. The covered patio is by far the best if you re an outdoor person. It has a great green and private view, a canal a few steps away, bar and charcoal grill (a must for us). When we go back to the outer banks we will not look for any other place to stay. BTW, our dog loved it as well as he was accompanied at times by horses in the backyard! Hosts were very responsive, welcoming and provided lots of tips!

I cannot say enough good things about our stay! The location is perfect. Driving on the beach to get here is an adventure and part of the fun. Our dogs enjoyed swimming in the ocean every day - it’s a 15 minute walk or quick drive (easier in the heat to drive and park on the beach). Also kayaking on the canal is a must. The house is extremely nice - very comfortable! The deck seems new and we all enjoyed sitting outside in the evening (bring bug spray!!) watching the horses, deer and birds. The owners are great and want to help with anything you need. Great place to spend a vacation!!

Everything about this house and location is perfect! This was our first time visiting the Outer Banks with our 3 children ages 12,9, &6. The house is very clean, has everything you need to enjoy the beach, the outdoor shower is amazing, and it has the perfect amount of space.We enjoyed the decks, family games & cooking. Very short walk to the beach although we drove everyday to have all of our stuff with us for the day. We also really enjoyed the nature reserve to go looking for shells everyday where we found conchs & sand dollars. Watching the wild horses was also beautiful. The canal behind the house is also perfect for paddling. We will be back every year! Katrina & Benny are great hosts!

We stayed here for a week and really liked it! Super clean, very well stocked and easy check in and out. We saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the beach just a short drive away. Bring your bug spray if you plan on relaxing on the deck... the mosquitos were out in force!!

Had a wonderful time here! House had everything we needed for a great time! Was about a ten minute walk from the beach but most days we drove. The drive up from Corolla was 25+ mins up the beach, so be prepared with everything you need! Also it was very buggy, so bring bug spray! The hosts communicated well and were helpful leading up to our stay!

This place was perfect. We have never been to the area and after this we will be back and this is the perfect house for us and our 2 girls. More would fit too but we were very comfortable and the outdoor shower was great for desmans if the kids. Owners were immediately responsive to a small issue and were really engaged in advance to make our vacation great!

A gorgeous house in a fantastic spot, surrounded by wildlife and great things to do. We loved our stay. We walked, kayaked with wild, swimming horses, fished the creek and Atlantic, played on the beach, had fun driving through huge puddles and over big dunes, saw deer, heron, eagles, Osprey in their nests, turtles, fish and frogs. A fun-packed and memorable holiday based in a great house with outstanding communication from the owners. We will be back, for sure. Thank you so much for having us to stay!

This house was a great place to stay! Very clean and comfortable. Loved all the beachy decor and airy atmosphere. Very close to the beach and the canal behind the house really added to Experience. We had a raft we used on the canal without issue. We also really enjoyed all the sites and sounds from the deck. Saw lots of wildlife from horses, frogs, birds, turtles and a snake. Watch out for the cacti in the sand around the house though! Owner was quick to respond and check in and out was easy. Definitely wouldn’t mind coming back again someday!

The home is new and has everything you need. It is walking distance to the beach but also sits on a canal that you can kayak or paddle board on. The wild horses came to visit us early the first morning. It was amazing!

Katrina was very responsive and answered any questions I had. This was our family’s first visit to the area. Katrina took all the worry away and we had the best time. Driving on the beach is a must. We had a great time! The house is just beautiful and has pretty much everything you might need. The location is very quite and peaceful. We loved 4WD beach area, clean waters, not crowded at all (even during the weekend). Hope to be back one day!

My family had a wonderful time at the beach house. We liked the location of the house as well, which is next to the freshwater channel and in the walking distance to the ocean shore. The house is very well designed and has all the features you need for the family vacation.

This place was absolutely perfect for our family of 7. It was a much needed secluded getaway with quick access to the 4X4 beach.... the beach driving was an adventure all it's own. The host was very informational and easy to communicate with. Highly recommended and we would definitely stay here again.

I can’t say enough about our experience with HomeAway , this house is new and Katrina the owner did not leave one appointment out, everything was there but food and beverage of course! Her and her husband spared no expense to make you feel at home, but it’s there lil touches that they did that made it a great experience. My fiancé is from Carova so we had been to the island before, The horses, the black berry and huckleberry picking and of course the beach , we can’t wait to go back and relive our weekend.,. Thanks again!
