Thank you for sharing your house. A wonderful place to celebrate our 39th Girls Weekend! We had beautiful weather to hang out on your wonderful deck!! So peaceful to sit out there. We enjoyed exploring areas around Cadiz. Went to a craft fair and chainsaw competition!!! Went to Patty’s Settlement and did a little shopping!! We spent our evenings making crafts and playing games. Loved that the house is s ranch! Highly recommend! Peter is great to work with. Fortunately we had no problems so didn’t have to bother him.

This home was so beautiful a d accomodated 7 adults perfectly. The home was very clean and smelled wonderful. The view of the lake and sunset were perfect.

Some girlfriends and I stayed at Peter’s lake house this past weekend as a little girls getaway trip before the business of the school year. This was a perfect place for this! The location is excellent and the house itself was so cozy and homey. Pots and pans would be upgraded for sure (we cooked a lot while there), but other than that; we had a pleasant stay! We will definitely be back again one day with the hubbies and kiddos!

Beautiful view and easy to dock our own boats since the public ramp is just across the cove (literally a 3 minute boat ride from the ramp to the rental’s dock). We would definitely book here again.

This property was everything and more than pictures show. Conveniently located to everything we needed and plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 children. The view of the lake was gorgeous! Wish we would have stayed longer. If we come again, will definitely rent this house.

The location was great and tucked away to allow us to play in the lake back in the cove. Fun fishing off the dock, did some yard games, had a cook out, camp fire for s’mores, and an awesome sunset view from deck! House had a great layout and plenty of room to spread out a bit! Would definitely return!

We have gone to Lake Barkley many times, but this might be our new favorite place. The house was perfect for 2 families to enjoy. We loved the deck and the sunset views were amazing. Being able to have our boat on the dock was so helpful. and convenient. The cove was perfect for our paddleboard and felt safe for the kids to enjoy the water at any time during the day. We will definitely be back, thank you for your wonderful hospitality, Pete!

Would rent again. Have 2 suggestions- Replace the skillets and pots and pans, they are bad. Everything else in kitchen is good. Master bedroom closet is locked, this was an inconvenience for us. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay very much.

Stayed here for my brother's wedding and WOW what a great clean home with an amazing view! Plenty of space for everyone and the owner has included everything you could possibly think of from board games to kayaks. I cannot wait to return. Thank you!!

It was ok

This property provides such a great view of Lake Barkley and the main channel along with deer in the yard every night. Peter was a fantastic host and was very communicative and answered all of our questions during the stay. The Kids Cove was a HIT with the teens as it gave them their own space and the Nintendo was great to help pass the down time. The house is very well furnished and had everything we needed for breakfast/lunch/dinner. The TV's were great in all of the rooms and provided enough channels as well. Although we were there for Thanksgiving visiting family, I couldn't help to think about the lake life this house would provide during season. The back porch was beautiful and spacious and the lighting was great. This will be the ONLY house we rent when going back to Cadiz.

This was a great place for us to stay! Very quiet and relaxing. Plenty of everything we needed. View was beautiful! We loved fishing and kayaking. Fabulous trip! I highly recommend!

This is the 2nd year we have come to this property on the same weekend with a group of 4 other friends. We love the location and home. We will be back again!

The property is clean and offered almost all that we needed - cooking supplies, plenty of bathrooms, lake access and a place to keep our boat. We were short on bath towels, so we did a lot of laundry.

This property was just as advertised. A beautiful view of the lake and it was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay here. The only issue that my wife found with the property is that the window treatments do not fully cover the windows at night for privacy. Overall, we would recommend this to all.

The property was great for lake location. The kids loved being able to fish every morning and swim in the lake. The house was accommodating for what we needed. Not being familiar with lake life we didn’t realize how close neighbors back yards are. It was fine for us, just seemed like neighbors could sit and see everything you were doing. We still enjoyed our stay and was able to do a lot in the 5 days we were there. Would go back!

We have stayed at this property twice and have enjoyed both experiences! It is a spacious, clean and comfortable home with beautiful views! The homeowner provided everything we needed and made us feel welcomed.

We rented this lovely place as a group of 6. My parents, my wife and our 2 daughters plus myself. Everything was as described and very clean. This house is furnished with so much attention to detail. We can highly recommend it

What a great spot! My wife and I were looking for a place to relax and unwind. And what could be better than enjoying beautiful sunsets, evenings around the fire pit, and morning coffee in the 3 season room or on the deck? There’s plenty of space for bigger groups, 3 bedrooms and a bunk room that sleeps 9. The family room is all about comfort and entertainment with reclining sofas and chairs and TV w Roku, Netflix, all kinds of channels, and board games in the cabinet. And Peter was right there to answer our questions. We would recommend this property for all occasions/ events.

The Paddle House was even more lovely than the pictures showed and was the perfect spot for a long weekend respite for three generations of my family. When I first saw the photos and listing online, it appeared to check every one of our group’s requirements and even wishes for our Thanksgiving weekend together. Upon arrival, we found that it was even more perfect than we thought it would be. Peter was a responsive and gracious host. The property was clean and well stocked, though it could use a few more place settings of silverware for the number of beds. Having two tables was perfect for us as one could be used for Thanksgiving dinner while the other was used for puzzles and games all weekend. The family room reclining couches were a huge, unexpected plus for Saturday football viewing. We definitely hope to return to this gem of a property!

My husband and I took our boys and elderly in-laws. The house was in a great location and the public dock was easily accessible. We rented a boat from the local marina and that was uncomplicated as well. The house has lots of space and accommodated us nicely. We even had an unused bedroom. My favorite part was enjoying the views of the lake from the deck. We would definitely return.

It was a peaceful time of year to rent the property. We enjoyed the lake and family time at the lake house.

We, the grandparents paid for the rental of the property. However, the master bedroom was by the kid's bedroom, so our son and his wife stayed there to be close to their 4 children. The next bedroom had a bed that was so high up in the air our daughter had to use a chair to get into it. We could not sleep there. So we stayed in the other bedroom. This bed was out of the Flintstone era, hard as a rock. The ceiling fan was so low that my husband, who is 5'6" could not raise his arms under it or they would get hit by the fan blades. We ended up spending most of the nights on the couches in the living rooms. When they say towels are provided, they mean 8 towels are there. But the listing states that the property can hold up to 9 adults. For our family, totaling 9, that meant washing the towels every night in order for them to be used the next day. And in some cases, washing them the same day in order for other people to use them that same day. We have stayed in places where there are 3x as many towels as people, so don't know exactly what these owners are thinking. What is the deal with the curtains? They don't close. Why would you put up curtains that can't be closed at night? Especially in our bedroom, the short ceiling and hard bed one. On vacation, the idea is to rest. But having to wake up with the sun shining in even though you close the curtains the best you can is really annoying. But not only in the bedroom, but in the kitchen and living room as well. Who wants people to be able to look on them at night? Don't understand this one at all. Decorations are nice but really unnecessary. If you have children, they have to be put up so they don't get accidently broken. And with children, accidents do happen. Totally a waste of owner's time and money. There is no towel bar next to the shower to hold your towels in the guest bathroom. Don't get this one either. Bring every trash bag, aluminum foil, paper towels, toilet paper, and plastic bag/wrap you can think of, because these are not supplied. Even though it says they are on the website, they were not there for us. Bring your dish soap, laundry soap, and dryer sheet because these are not provided and you will need them. The wifi was not good at all. We tried to reach the owner several times but the connection was not good and it took several days before he responded. The deck is really nice but has no shade, so eating out on it was not a choice.

We stayed at this beautiful house with another couple and 2 of our single friends to enjoy a girl's weekend (with 2 husbands who like to fish). We loved everything about the house! The amount of bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect for us. The view was amazing. We had so much fun floating in the cove and kayaking around the nearby coves. The guys took our boat out fishing every morning and we took a joy ride as well to see the other parts of this beautiful lake. We had a fire outside every night and the sunsets are amazing from here. Beautiful home and amazing location! We would definitely stay again. In fact, probably will be an annual tradition!

This house and property is a 10 out of 10. We travel often and this is one of the best we have stayed at. It’s the perfect setup, great waterfront location and has an awesome deck. The house was amazingly clean. The dock is perfect for swimming, fishing and kayaking in this quiet cove. We will definitely come back.
