Needs improvement but very comfortable
So many issues with this house from cobwebs with live spiders in every room, holes in the flooring and windows that don’t open with NO AC made this house rough to stay in. Thankfully there were fans and comfortable furniture along with easy access to the beach and fishing. There is a playground around the corner and tennis courts in the other direction. I am disappointed that we were asked to not leave our dog unattended when the whole point of renting a house was so we could leave our dog in her crate while we enjoyed some local activities she was not allowed to partake in, like the swim beach and the boat ferry.

The place is nice and peaceful. Lots of outdoor space. Just note that the place did not have A/C so double check, especially if you are staying during the summer. It would be the perfect place for cold weather.

This home is perfect for a family with young kids. It's not fancy, but it was clean, and, more importantly: it's right around the corner from an amazing playground and lake access, and it's walkable to one of the beaches. Also, unlike some vacation homes operated by larger companies like Vacasa, this one felt homey and was well-stocked with plenty of toys and games, beach chairs, kitchen essentials, etc.

Wonderful stay in quaint home for family visit.

As stated, there is no central air so depending on weather it may be uncomfortable overnight as it was for us. Some of the lights don't work in the house. The main issue we had was the wifi, which worked for the first 30 minutes of our stay and then never again for the remainder of our time. We would be connected but no service was available, which made us unable to do our work. The listed wifi availability was a major reason for us picking this place to stay and proved to be a big issue for us

Place is very accessible to Yosemite as well as being in a really nice area in Pine Lake. House has everything you could need as well from a cooking and holiday point of view.
We had multiple power outages while we were there and with temperatures over 100, it made for very difficult conditions with a young child. Apparently power outages are really common in this area.

There are so many things to complain. First thing first, the entrance fee wasn't listed on the original site before I made the reservation. Later, I called Orbitz and they connected me with Vacasa and they were saying it was listed on my confirmation email and it is the cost from the local HOA not them. From then on, there was just no response from Vacasa even when I tried to work things out with them. Then, after arriving at the property, the dirty towels from the previous guests was left in the bathroom and only one small pot that was available. Next, the bathtub was extremely slippery and my dad almost slip and there's no precaution for it. Finally, it was pretty hot during the stay and the AC was broken. I just don't think Vacasa has done their job in managing the property and the customer service is terrible as well.

I loved the location and the cute house, but this house should NEVER be rented in the summer. There is NO AIR CONDITIONING and the house was about 100 degrees by the afternoon. Could not cook, sleep or relax due to the heat. It would be fine in the winter. Beautiful area and would visit in cold months.
A washer and dryer would be helpful.

Beautiful place, wish we could have had more hard working fans, great location for what we did there. We enjoyed Groveland’s little town. Great people we were blessed to have had the opportunity to go. Thank you

There is NO A/C at this property. DO NOT book in the summer time, you will be miserable. I tried to work with the property management company, in moving to another property with paying even more money on my end. They were not help whatsoever. Just avoid Vacasa Management Company all together and save yourself a headache.

House needs work!
AC unit there not working
Broken blinds, broken sliding door.
Missing latch on front screen
Missing wall sconce cover
Porch/step light not working - safety issue
Broken birdhouse on deck
Plywood under couch cushions, why?
No mention of hide-a-bed as part of sleeping arrangement
Unsafe tub- very slippery
Obviously not attracting return guests

This reservation is VERY disappointing for my years of experiences in traveling. First of all, the $42 dollars entrance fee is not listed on listing on Orbitz. I didn’t see the information until I made my reservation and I called Orbitz and Vacasa and the management team kept saying this is the fee from the local HOA which doesn’t even tried to resolve our issue and later even just not respond to my emails. Next, after arriving the property, the dirty towels were left in the bathroom and there’s only ONE pot that you can use to cook. My father almost tripped on the bathtubs because of the narrow shape of the design. There’s no anti slip mat for the tub. It is super dangerously because it was very slippery. We also tried to use the AC and it was broken. I will highly recommend you NOT to stay at this property because not only the property is not worth it for the price and amenities but also the management team is terrible in their job as well.

Great location
Great location and area! Needs more air conditioning specially in hot weather. Location has fans but when it’s 90*+ degrees inside or out it’s s too hot.

Furniture was broken, BBQ not working and with 0 propane, ants
We rented this place with the understanding it came with a propane BBQ .... unfortunately , the ignition switch was broken and the propane tank empty! We repaired the switch and exchanged the propane tank for a full one.
The condition of the Weber BBQ was deplorable- it was filthy. Obviously, It has not been cleaned since it was purchased many many years ago. I expect to be reimbursed a minimum of $ 23.00. (See receipt from Mar Val Market).
I also attached photos of the unclean state we found the unit. The kitchen floor was disgusting by the refrigerator. Ants were a constant problem. We sprayed repeatedly. The kitchen was not fully equipped nor fully functional - the right side back burner on the stove is not working. There is also no blender, the old Cusinart provided is not working at all. Additionally, some of the furniture is falling apart.
In all honestly, I feel this unit was misrepresented and I expect a refund of some portion of our rental money.
Note: I spoke with the Vacasa customer service agent on Monday regarding these issues.... I’ve had no response from Vacasa. We will never probably never rent another Vacasa unit

Great place
We loved our stay and having our dogs with us. I did a lot of the cleaning before I left as my dogs shed and all. Dog bowls were hand washed. I left towels in the tub and pulled sheets and they are on middle of beds that were used. The dishwasher was running when I left as well. Key is back in lock box with numbers scrambled. Thank you for letting us stay!

Close to the Park and very pet friendly
The inside was very clean and well set up for pets. Everything we needed for a several day visit to Yosemite NP. Would loved to have had time to hang at the beach and enjoy the lake. The check in process was confusing but we finally figured out to go to the main gate to get a parking pass for the gated community.

Would only rent as last resort
This place wasn't worth the price we paid. There was no central AC (we learned it actually exists but hasn't been fixed in 30 years) and their screens on windows and balcony door had gaps so we ended up with a hot house full of bugs. Overall it was a bit rundown and like I said this is totally not worth the price at all, would only book as a last resort

The Oaks
Good location & close to the lake. House has a stocked kitchen, dog dishes, clean linens & board games. The reason for the low rating was there was no air-conditioning (note says it's been broken for 30 yrs!), ceiling fan & many outlets weren't working either. It was about 100 degrees and the fans didn't cool the home at all. Sleeping in that heat was impossible! Additionally the pull out could use a new mattress. Many of the HOA amenities are not available to renters nor is lake parking on weekends. Call before you go.

No help!
Arrived at property and the gate had no knowledge of us coming. Sent us to a parking lot to call Vecasa to have owner put our name on list. There was no phone service. I walked to the gate and she wouldn't look at all my confirmations and info because of all the scams. She said they only take names from property owners because of the scams. Sent us to town to find WiFi. Once we got phone service no one from Vercaca answered. After several attempts I was very emotional. A gentleman observed and tried to get through as well. He happened to live in the community our rental was in and so he put our name on the list under his name to get us in.
Had it not been for him we wouldn't have gotten in. If they are paying someone to clean they should look for someone else. It was vacuumed and dusted but counter was dirty and there were dead bugs (and live) ones inside. Also we had 3 people and 3 towels no dish cloth only a dirty sponge to clean dishes and counter. Vercasa charged me for my little dog when the posting said I could bring 1 dog at no charge. I won't rent a property that they manage again.

Great rental for family and dogs!
We are friends with the owners of this rental and have been vacationing there for 20 years! It is a no frills cabin perfect for families and dog owners. There is a playground next door and it's a block to Fisherman's Cove to catch the lake ferry. There are also walking trails right across the street. It's also a short walk to the smaller Lake Beach, which is a good place to go if you have small children to keep an eye on. You can't beat the location, and where else can you rent a dog-friendly PML cabin? Highly recommend.

Satisfactory
Overall, convenient for us as we were traveling back and forth from Yosemite, but a little further than I would have liked. Quaint neighborbood with lots of deer and a trail located across the street which was great. Did not like that we had to pay extra money (not cheap) for parking on top of the cost for renting the property- thought this was a rip off and should have been included. Had everything we needed for cooking and toiletries which was helpful. House was tidy but found quite a bit of insects- spiders and ants so had to be cautious of leaving any food out. Grass surrounding the house was sharp and painful if you stepped on it so was disappointed that could not let my dog outside- definitely in need of some gardening or trimming of the lawn.

We loved the place, we cooked, we played a ton of games ( there are many for all age group). Great place to just chill, relatively close to the park!

Trip to Yosemite
Our family had a great vacation at this home in Groveland, CA. We stayed here based on the proximity to Yosemite National Park. It was a short 30 minute drive to the entrance of the park, it was great being so close. The home is very nicely furnished and it is in a great recreation area. There are walking paths, a kids play ground, lot's of deer and a lake within the community. We were there in April so the weather didn't allow for getting in the water but a summer visit would be great. We think anyone looking for a place to stay that's dog friendly would be happy they chose this home as a vacation rental.

A lovely stay for a couple
So, this place may not have the curb appeal of the more expensive homes at pine mountain lake, but it has everything you need, including an extremely comfortable king bed and well stock kitchen. We enjoyed hanging out on the decks and watching the deer. A great place to relax and only an hour and a half from the heart of Yosemite (45 min to park entrance from hwy 120). Really good value for this spot.

Sweet Neighborhood
We really enjoyed the open concept of the kitchen, dining and living rooms. The beds were comfortable and great to have a dishwasher. I wish there were a washer/dryer. There are no laundromats nearby and with children it is a plus to have something at home or at least nearby during holidays. (We stayed for a week). You need to pay a parking entrance fee, as you are considered a guest to the owner of the house, so prepare to pay $32 which is not bad. Every day we would see family of deer that hung out in the neighborhood, it was so peaceful to experience. Yosemite entrance is 30-40 minutes and to get to the valley is an additional 45 minutes. Great drive. I would stay here again and would plan to bring more clothes.

Perfect Place to stay while visiting Yosemite
Me and my 4 friends spent 2 nights here while visiting Yosemite and we were really happy with the house ;) It was clean, in secure location and it contained all necessary amenities (we were actually astonished by some of them, I.e. there are around 20 board games to choose from).
I will recommend this place to my friends who will plan to visit Yosemite!

wonderful property; awesome location for the kids and dogs!
PML is a favorite destination for our family and this house only strengthened these feelings. Super close to the hiking trail, lake, and Fisherman's Cove, to include the park (basketball hoop, play structure, swings, etc.). House was well-stocked and comfy. Would have loved an enclosed space in the back to let the dogs outside easier as the front porch was great but not ideal. The back porch would have been great, if enclosed. Thanks again!
