Overall, this is a nice place. However, I'd booked this place for 2 nights (roughly 6 months in advance) and later told that the place was only available for the first night. I had paid for both nights, and I'm still trying to get a refund for the second night.

The property is clean and bright. The rooms and bathroom are great. Property owner was very helpful throughout our stay and Bayeux is such a lovely town! Recommend this property.

The location was excellent and convenient. Lovely property. We have several concerns: 1) Check-in the owner should have specified to enter the gate and not the main door. We had to call for assistance. 2) There were insufficient toilet paper, paper towels, and towel. We had to buy supplies which should have been supplied. 4) No coffee filters. 3) Property owner was slow to respond when need to know where to park our rental property.

We really enjoyed the cottage. It was spacious and relaxing. The location was excellent, within easy walking distance of everything in the city center. We would absolutely stay here again, if we make it back to Bayeux in the future!

It was a pleasant place to stay. The location was great and the unit was clean and had everything we needed. The unit does have an interior staircase that could be a challenge for people wit by mobility issues. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved this house and the Bayeux location even in the dreary rainy days of December! Unlike some other rental listings, the real thing is actually BETTER than the photos. The house itself is beautiful - nicely decorated and SO clean. The beds are comfortable, the linens are high-quality, the hot water works and there’s good water pressure. The kitchen has everything you need and is well organized. Everything was as it is described or better making for a very pleasant stay. The location within Bayeux is perfect - a very short walk to the traditional French downtown with ample restaurants, cafés, and shopping; and a very short drive to several supermarkets that have everything you need to have a nice dinner at home. Since we arrived in Bayeux the day after flying in from the U.S. we really appreciate the opportunity to have an early dinner at home those first couple of nights as we adjusted to the time change. Bayeux itself is a fantastic location for exploring the greater Normandy area. It’s even an easy drive on the autoroute to Mont St. Michel. It’s really wonderful to have hosts like Damien who clearly care about their guest’s experience. Merci beaucoup et à bientôt!

The property was as advertised. Quiet, clean, spacious with a well appointed kitchen. Friendly, communicative host with a welcome bottle of cider. This is my second visit to Bayeux and these accommodations exceeded my expectations. I would definitely go back.

We loved the following things about our stat in La Petit Valhalla: Kitchen had everything you would ever need. Quiet Spacious, clean. Minutes from grocery store, Cathedral, little shops and restaurants by foot Damien was available and always answered our questions both before we arrived and while there One Queen and 2 twin beds with soft sheets and duvets Would stay here again and recommend to friends.

Property is centally located a short walk to restaurants and attractions. It made an excellent location to visit Normandy beaches. The Gite is well appointed and provided for a very relaxing stay.

Location is very central, with shops and restaurants in walking distance. Although located centrally, the location is very quiet with small garden and a little terrace. We enjoyed our stay!

Had a lovely time at our VRBO. It was in a great location and within walking distance to many things - old town, the market, etc. The weather wasn’t the greatest / but we made it work.

Nice place

We were very happy with Damien's apartment! It was decorated beautifully and was a very comfortable place to stay. It was clean and well-organized, and the kitchen contained everything we needed to cook meals. From the apartment it was easy to walk to wonderful restaurants and all of the attractions has to offer. We left our car in the convenient free parking and didn't need to use it while in town. The apartment was also the perfect base for visiting nearby historical sites. I will mention that I found the street names and numbering are a little confusing in the area, and I should have used the map provided with the reservation, which is accurate. We made the mistake of using our car GPS and got a little confused. Elizabeth was quite gracious in quickly coming to a nearby landmark to find us and guide us in the right direction! She then gave us a helpful orientation to the apartment. I gave Damian feedback on a couple of small suggestions, like having fans for the bedrooms and providing hand soap in the bathroom, and he seemed appreciative of the feedback and said he would act on it right away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home and would be happy to return. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Glorious home and location. Our greeter, Elizabeth, was so helpful and responsive. We arrived late at 9:30 pm and she waited at the house to show us around. Met the owner, Damien, who was very personable. Beautiful home and great location. I’d definitely stay there again!

We really enjoyed staying at le Petit Valhalla. It’s in a lovely secret garden. Parking was very easy behind the property. Elizabeth met us at the door and couldn’t have been nicer. We came in on a very hot day. So the only thing I would suggest to the host is 2 fans for the upstairs bedrooms. Although we slept well in the comfortable beds with all the windows open. The property was a great home base for our tour of Normandy. I definitely recommend.

This two floor large apartment is located less than 10 minutes from the Bayeux Cathedral and the downtown area. It is less than a 15 minute drive to closest D-Day beaches. The unit was clean, well equipped and as shown in the photos. The owner and Elizabeth were very helpful. The unit is attached by a short wall to the owner’s home but a private locked gate provides access to the unit. The owners home and this apartment are inside an high old stone wall that provides privacy and a very quiet setting. A free parking lot is located about 100 feet away. We had a great stay and would rent it again if we return to Normandy as Bayeux is the perfect base for exploring the area.
