Absolutely fantastic property - Well maintained and clean in an extraordinary location. Beautiful views and great outdoor spaces. Our family of 11 spent countless hours playing during the day and gathered around the outdoor fireplace at night. Great for us, our kids and our 3 grandchildren.

Our family had a wonderful Thanksgiving in this most comfortable and welcoming house….it felt like a home away from home. The house manager was most helpful and promptly responsive to our questions prior to check-in, and he met us upon our arrival. The kitchen and dining area had everything we needed to prepare and enjoy our Thanksgiving meal and meals throughout our stay. We did bring our own tv for the sitting area on the main floor as that was where we spent the majority of our time together. We enjoyed pre-Christmas activities in and around Cashiers. We would definitely return for another stay, especially when we could enjoy access to the lake.

This is the third time we have stayed at this property and again it far exceeded any place we have stayed before. Steve is very responsive and Gareth (the property Manager) are great to deal with. We will live to go back!

The setting was beautiful with wonderful views of the lake and easy access to the dock. The home was unbelievable with everything you need and no details overlooked. The hosts were fantastic and promptly answered any questions we asked. I highly recommend staying here. We will be back!

Very nice. The only issue was that the gas oven stopped functioning when we needed it most as we were hosting a 50th wedding anniversary dinner on the back porch. This caused us to have to warm food offsite, and drive it in by golf car. This substantially delayed the dinner party, but we still had a great time!

Lodge Vibe Lake Glenville
The home is very well kept, nice kitchen, very clean. We would probably (as Floridians) prefer the summer, but the cozy lodge vibe made up for the crazy windy roads. Only note (no fault of owners) is if you have runners/walkers in your group, it is hard to do so from the home (no shoulders on very windy roads). Garreth was wonderful. Thank you!

Thanks for sharing your property with us for Christmas! We had a white Christmas Eve & Christmas and waking up on Christmas morning was priceless! We were able to cut our own tree at Sawyer Tree Farm just minutes away! Home was beautiful, well kept, cozy, and laid-out well! The home felt larger, even more grand than the photos reflect. Mountain Lake Retreat

Restful and Relaxing
Beautiful home, well appointed. Very restful and relaxing with lots of room for naps, card playing, and short little hikes. Gourmet kitchen made meal time fun. Separate spaces for multiple families to have privacy. Would have been nice to have one more TV for movie watching or relaxing. Thank goodness my husband was able to repair the faulty wiring to the one TV for movie playing. Cable also wasn’t working on the main TV in the basement. He was able to rewire that too. So just a heads up if you like to do a lot of movie watching on your vacation. With intermittent WiFi, it makes enjoying nature in the winter pleasurable.

What a wonderful place to stay!
We LOVED our stay on Lake Glenville. Stephen's home was the perfect place to unplug and relax after hiking and boating all day. We simply could not have asked for a better place for our families to get a break from the summer heat. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and the beds were very comfortable. We sat on the beautiful porch each evening taking in the cool air. The home is conveniently located to both Cashiers and Highlands. We enjoyed restaurants in both towns and even took a day trip to Asheville. We hope to return again next summer! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

This property is fantastic. The house is well-built, well-appointed with terrific outdoor spaces. The lake is perfect for boating, fishing, and kayaking... all of which we enjoyed. Perfect Thanksgiving Week!
Our family had an amazing stay during the week of Thanksgiving. We loved sitting by the outdoor fireplace every night. The spacious house hosted our party of 13 with ease! We can’t wait to spend another week there again!

Amazing house and vacation!
Thank you to the owners and property managers for a fabulous vacation. The house is beautiful, clean and perfectly situation on the Lake. Secluded enough to feel away from normal busy life but an easy drive to Cashiers and stores. The house is truly a special place with great rooms and amenities inside and perfect outdoor areas to relax.
The house is so well stocked with everything you need including cookware, spices etc.
The chefs kitchen was perfect for socializing while making family meals. The downstairs was a great place for the kids to have their own area with a great bunk room and games. The lake was so fun with highlights including swimming at the waterfalls and tubing behind our rented boat...highly recommend. The deck is an amazing place to see the stars...never seen so many with clear views to the milky way and shooting stars. We hope to make it back sometime, thank you Knights, Gareth and JoEllen!

Wonderful Property
This house is a wonderful one for a large family reunion and our large family (9 adults and one toddler, one baby) thoroughly enjoyed it and all its amenities. It was all we hoped it would be. You will say "Wow!" as you enter the house and enjoy your orientation house tour with the managers. There are large rooms to gather in and, yet, if someone wants some space to have some privacy they can find it. It is full of all the amenities you might need or desire. The kayaks and water floats were a big hit with everyone. The dock was perfect for my Jon boat. We sat around the outdoor fireplace at night, listened to music though the house music system's outdoor speakers, and played games, and cooked marsh mellows. The setting was all we expected it to be. The weather turned out to be cooperative and we had lots of fun in and on the water, in the house, and in the local area. Boat traffic on the lake is somewhat heavy on the weekend but we enjoyed a 22' pontoon boat rental and tubing with no problems on Sunday afternoon as we explored the lake with its waterfalls . Several of us also enjoyed hiking one of the nearby trails which has a beautiful waterfalls. We enjoyed our night out for pizza and Buck's Coffee Cafe on our way out. I recommend that you check with the owner to insure that no noisy construction or home repairs are going to be on-going at a nearby property while you are visiting.

Beautiful property and atmosphere!
We spent most of our time on the porch which was lovely. There are rocking chairs and a porch swing by the fireplace. It was so great to have a fire at night! The kitchen is very well-appointed. The dock is nice and fairly easy to get to. There are some floats available for use as well as 2 single person kayaks. The roads surrounding the home are perfect for a morning walk. So beautiful! We had a lovely time! There is no cell service, so they provide a land line. There is Wi-Fi, but it does tend to go in and out of service. I would definitely stay again. Thank you to Carolyn, Steve and Gareth, who were all wonderful hosts.

Great rental!
We rented this house for our family vacation and to get away from the summer heat! The home is even better than we could have imagined. Very well stocked, all the way down to the 2 kayaks available for use. My favorite amenity was, of course, the porch swing which was very comfortable and oversized! Perfect for enjoying that first cup of coffee in the morning and that last glass of wine in the evening! We did venture out to the cute little towns of Cashiers and the Highlands, both easily accessible, however we would have been perfectly happy never leaving the house! The ONLY thing I could even think of that would have been a plus would have been a TV in the great room. Dad loves watching FOX news. It was seen as a plus for other family members as we enjoyed the board games and the together time. Even Dad looked forward to playing scrabble... I also need to add that the owners, as well as the property manager, could not have been nicer or more accommodating! Any question was answered in a very timely fashion and our welcome gift could not have been more on point!!! It actually saved us a trip to the grocery store when we arrived. We definitely will look forward to our next visit to Lake Glenville and to the rental house that is at the top of our list!

Beautiful home and property
We had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful home! The property was great as well! The steps down to the dock were not too challenging and the floats, chairs, and kayaks were all a great addition once we got down there! Renting a boat for half of the week was an absolute must! The lake is so beautiful! There is so much to enjoy on the boat and dock! The dock was perfect for the boat rental and our jetski we brought with us! The location of the property was very easy to get to without too many twists and turns!
The house was absolutely beautiful! The only issue we had was with the upstairs rooms being too hot and stuffy. We kept all of the doors and windows closed to try to keep the humidity down and air working but it was still very uncomfortable for the families staying upstairs. The kitchen was very well stocked and very useful! The fireplace on the porch was everyone’s favorite spot the whole week! We hardly left the property the whole week! It was absolutely wonderful! We are all ready to come back and stay again! The best part was the fact that our dog was allowed to join us!! We are so thankful that it was so accommodating with being pet friendly in such a beautiful home! Thank you to the owners and property manager for all of the help with the internet and power issues! It was a great experience and we would love to stay here again!!

Beautiful, well maintained and relaxing
We have stayed in many different lake houses in the nearby area for years; and we have finally found a home that we would like to come back to. We are a family of 11 and had plenty of room for relaxing and enjoying each others company. The property managers were very helpful as was the owner who personally called us to resolve a Wifi issue. I will warn you that the internet goes in and out but I understand it is common for the area. We were greeted with a s'mores kit, two bottles of wine and a bag of coffee. The house is well stocked with spices and quality pots and baking pans. A well organized drawer was also dedicated to storage containers, which seems to always be lacking at rental homes. Located very close to shopping. This is a wonderful home on a beautiful lake.
