Jamaica Joy Beach Side Cottage
Este lindo Beach Cottage está convenientemente ubicado en el lado de la playa de Jamaica Beach, a 1 cuadra de la playa, sin necesidad de cruzar la carretera principal (San Luis Pass 3005) para estar en la playa. Es una caminata muy corta (menos de 250 pies) al gimnasio, licorería, bar, parrilla / pizzería, lavandería y tienda de conveniencia Valero con un Redbox. La casa está bien equipada con todas las comodidades de una casa de playa. Disfruta de la vista de la playa mientras te relajas, escuchando los sonidos del océano. En el lado oeste de la isla, lejos del ajetreo y el bullicio. Si lo desea, puede divertirse visitando otras atracciones de Galveston: Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens (Aquarium), Pleasure Pier para los niños o pasear por el histórico Strand District y visitar las tiendas de regalos o disfrutar de los excelentes restaurantes.

We spent Father's Day weekend in Jamaica Beach with our very close family friends. There was 8 of us in the house, 4 adults and 4 kids ranging 1-12 years old. It was perfect for our little weekend getaway. Walking distance to the beach. Loved sitting out on the balconies at night. House was exactly as listed. Owner was easy to communicate with. And the top deck was so cool, the kids loved going up! Would definitely stay again.

This property was perfect for us, it had everything we needed, from the kitchen to sleeping arrangements to the amazing decks along with a great location!

Outstanding property ! CLEAN !!! Every convenience was thought of and provided. Amazing views, comfortable, and less than a 2 min walk to the beach. I am so glad I chose this property to make memories with our grandson.

This was a great place to stay for our family. The beach is a really short walk from the house and the house is close to places for food and coffee. The host was great and made check in and out a breeze. Can’t beat that beautiful deck view!

There were 6 of us and this place slept us all with ease. The futons and beds were comfortable and the ample amount of parking space, grass, and commodities made this a very comfortable stay. 10/10 would recommend and we will be back!

The house was amazing and had everything we needed. It was walking distance to the beach with a huge deck for evenings outside. Loved every minute of it :)

We had a wonderful stay in this property. The beach was within walking distance located in an excellent area of Jamaica beach. The property was clean, comfortable, and cozy. It also had an excellent view from the deck. Ponch was great to communicate with and was always responsive. Thank you for helping us build great memories with our little ones!

The house was very cozy and beautiful, they had everything we needed for our stay and gave some wonderful recommendations of places around the area. I wish we could have stayed longer but definitely going to try and stay here next time we visit.

We were very happy with this rental. It was clean and snug. The deck was wonderful for morning coffee and enjoying the ocean breeze. It was an easy walk to the beach even with a 2 year old.

We loved staying here. The owners were very responsive and the location was perfect. The beach was a quick walk from the beach house. There are two decks both have great view of the water. We had a party of 7 that stayed there comfortably. The house has a lovely beachy theme but also had a family home feel as well. We can't wait to come back!

Great views
Jamaica Joy is an awesome beach house! Very comfortable, great views of the beach and sunset from the upper deck, and an awesome host! King bed was comfortable. Home is well equipped with everything you need to prepare meals.
Ponch is a great host who wastes no time responding to messages or emails. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

It was nice having restaurants and stores just across the street. Loved sitting on the deck and enjoyed the swing on the ground level. Loved having the kuerig coffee pot and everything we needed for cooking in. I am looking forward to staying again and bringing another couple or the grandkids.

Our stay was great! Weather did not cooperate 100% of the time, but it was a still great. Ponch was wonderful with communication!! House was perfect! Comfortable beds, so close to the beach and the view from the rooftop deck is wonderful. Definitely will stay here again for next trip to Galveston. Thanks!

Busy and noisy location
Honestly this was not my favorite Galveston stay. The house was nice but not exceptional. The huge porch and views were the best and while it was in walking distance to the beach, it was also right on the highway and was very loud. While I appreciated the sound machines - which helped a bit - it was quite loud during the day but especially at night. The supply truck across the street loaded the store at 4am and had our kids up from that point on. There were also no beach amenities provided unlike most places I’ve stayed so bring everything you need including extra towels as there were no beach towels.
Also Jamaica beach is public, very busy with cars, trucks etc. up and down the beach. Personal preference - just not my favorite.
Overall we enjoyed our stay - but the boys also like when we just go down for the day. I just think it’s helpful to know how trafficked the location is. It may not bother some at all.

Such a great little place right on the beach!
Could not have enjoyed our stay more. Located so close to the beach, house had everything we needed, and right next to a gas station and small restaurant for last minute needs. Owner was incredibly communicative and answered all questions we had. Kids loved the futon and the master bedroom was extremely comfortable!
