Decided quite last minute to take a short trip with friends. We found the house clean (which is rare for properties that allow you to bring your pets) and well equipped. Castlemaine is a lovely town and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay 😊

We enjoyed the house, the location, the views, and the town of Castlemaine The house was generously provisioned and we particularly liked the dog-friendly fenced side yard. It’s rare to find a holiday rental with such large wardrobes, all modern appliances, and a quality bathroom with a big shower rose. Plus plenty of charging points around for all your devices.
We are a trio not accustomed to frosty mornings, and we did find the lounge harder to maintain heat than in our own home, but there are two good heaters there. Just bring your fleeces and wheat bags! We were quite snug in the bedrooms as there is so much bedding provided.
We've stayed in many pet-friendly places and this one is the best.

Lovely home for our weekend away, great spot, very clean with everything you need. Perfect for our whole family of all ages and of course our pups too! Would absolutely recommend and we will be back ☺️

We were very pleased with our stay. In particular homely comforts included the heating being on for us when we arrived, a very comfortable bed (with lovely soft linen and plenty of blankets to keep warm), as well as a roomy bathroom and kitchen.
Further details of note for those looking to stay:
- The driveway is steep (concreted on the way up, and then loops to the right via gravel/ dirt path on way down), however I managed fine in a Honda Jazz.
- Plenty of pillows/ blankets/ nice towels (we had brought our own but this was not needed).
- The mattress in the main room is comfortably firm, even though we prefer softer beds (one of the fleece blankets could easily be used as a topper if preferred).

The house suited us very well despite the steep driveway. ( we are all over 70). We found the split system heaters slow to respond and it is a cold house. Beds were excellent and warm. Suggest pruning the prickly cactus which extends over the hand rail. It was a beaut place and located for us.

We stayed here for a weekend and found it very comfortable clean and warm. It is very close to Castlemaine town centre so you can walk to restaurants, the art gallery and cafes. Also close to Goldfields track. Would definitely stay again

We had a comfortable stay and the beds were very comfortable in the cold weather. Only issue was the shower in the bath. We’re are older people and had trouble getting in and out of the bath for a shower. The house was really well at up with everything we needed.

We had a wonderful stay, it was an excellent home and location to stay in. Only thing to mention is that two of the rooms didn’t have heating and we stayed on a very cold weekend. Also didn’t seem to be any wifi available and our reception was a little patchy. But overall a wonderful weekend! Thank you

Excellent location. Super clean and had everything you would need. Feel it may be an idea due to the very steep drive and the steps up to the house, also the shower over the bath, it perhaps be advertised as not suitable for people with a disability. The 3 of us are pretty fit mid 70’s but could see how it would be difficult for less fit and able persons to get themselves, baggage and food up to the house. The enclosed dog area was excellent.

We had a lovely few days here, with everything we needed to be comfortable and even some entertainment for our little one. Great to be so close to town as well.

Overlooking Castlemaine, this home has lovely views & is tidy & includes almost everything you have in your own home.
Located at the end of a steep driveway the house is a 5-10 minute walk into town.
The hosts were very easy to deal with.
My dog & l enjoyed the beautiful town & walking everywhere as the car wasn’t needed. Apart from a few creepy crawlies getting inside & noises in the night (maybe possums?) not the fault of the owners, the stay was relaxing. Thanks for having us in your lovely home.

We enjoyed our stay here. Lots of toys for kids provided and outdoor space for the dog. We had a wedding in the area and enjoyed the short walk into the cbd for our bus pick up and breakfast.

The whole interaction was just so easy! The house is in a fabulous location and had everything we needed. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. Will definitively stay again if we are ever back in Castlemaine.

This house had everything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, as did our 2 fur babies. The bottom step is not made for us oldies, a bit big and the driveway is very steep. It has great views over Castlemaine with unreal sunsets.

Spacious house with great views of Castlemaine from the balcony. Great kitchen and large bedrooms. Met Ruth our host on the first night, she was very accomadating to our needs.

Home owners provided all the information we required in order to stay for the weekend.
Did find it a little cold in the evenings and the heating in the lounge didn't really make a difference. Glad to hop into a bed with an electric blanket!!
It is also quite a climb to the house on a steep block so ok if fit and active but a challenge if you struggle walking or stairs.

Really enjoyed staying at this accommodation. It was very cozy on the cold nights, extremely well set up and in a great location. We hardly used our car in the time we were there and walked to a number of great eateries in the town for our evening meal.

This lovely property is perched up a bit of a hill with some lovely views over Castlemaine, particularly some special sunsets with an excellent balcony from which to enjoy them.
Spacious and well appointed you will be extremely comfortable during your stay. It's an easy walk to the centre of town if you're inclined but remember it's all uphill returning home 😂 so don't shop up a storm!
Pet friendly property which was a must for us and our 2 indulged pooches. I'm a little sorry we didn't bring our bicycles too because I think you could get a real bit of speed up going down the driveway.

The house was comfortable, clean and well-located. The kitchen was well-equipped and the heater left on for our arrival, which was a nice touch. Great views of the setting sun.
