This was an excellent place to stay. Super clean and new. Nicely decorated. Pretty location. The owner was very easy to work with and he initiated most communication to keep me informed. Easy drive into SW Harbor for dinner and groceries. Maybe 20 minutes to Bar Harbor - we were glad to be away from the busyness of town. Acadia is a lovely park - we really enjoyed our visit.

We enjoyed this newly built apartment in the middle of the woods. We loved everything about the place and our host, except the weather was so hot (it was July) that no AC made the place quite uncomfortable. There are ceiling and table fans, but adding in even one AC unit would give this accommodation an A+ rating.

This rental exceeded our expectations! It was comfortable, clean, and well decorated. Eric had excellent communication with us during the entire rental process . The most important thing was in a convenient location. It was minutes away from restaurants, mini golf, shopping, hiking and a grocery store. Also, Acadia National Park was only 20 min away. It was nice to be able to come back to a less congested part of the Island after visiting the park!

Excellent 10 stars! The unit is just as it's listed. Comfortable beds, bedding, and bath towels. All the nice touches; couch, chairs, deck furniture, extra outlets, etc. etc. we could go on and on about how special this place was! Every detail down to the minute with the traveler in mind! After hiking, nice to pamper yourself with excellent comfort and awesome details! Having the trailhead down the road is spectacular! There was even a dog bowl for our pup! He loved the place too! Thank you for sharing your place with us! Very Appreciative!

Great place, totally brand new. Cozy, lovely and well appointed. Easy check in and out, great communication from the owner. It’s location is perfect to get out and enjoy Acadia then come home and relax. We will definitely be coming back next time we’re in Bar Harbor area.

I am happy that we stayed here during our time in Acadia. The location was convenient to a grocery store, restaurants and some of the best trails. It wasn’t as busy as the other side of the island which was a huge positive. The property itself was clean, beautiful and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The only minor thing I have to say is that I wish there was east one other mirror other than the one in the bathroom. Overall everything was awesome.

We had a great stay! When searching for accommodations, we were unsure about SW Bar Harbor but those uncertainties were quickly erased! SW Bar Harbor is quaint, has a lovely town center, and a lot less crowded. Nearby trails and the Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse was nearby too! Eric, the host, communicated frequently and so it was easy to check in, find the house, and enjoy. The house is well built, nice furnishings and comfortable. Nested in the woods but so easy to get to. I give this property the highest marks! Jeff

We enjoyed our stay in Southwest Harbor! It is a great place if you are looking for more room or to get away from Bar Harbor. Eric was great to communicate with about needs as well.

The home was such a comfortable home with a deck to enjoy the fresh air and to see the night sky. Close cafes and lots of lobster choices in the area. The owner was very helpful with directions for hiking in the area. It was new construction and fully-equipped. Can’t wait to come back again and stay longer!

My husband, our dog and I had a wonderful stay at Eric’s rental in Southwest Harbor. The listing was as described and served as a perfect, peaceful location for us to rest and relax while exploring Acadia and the surrounding towns!

This was our first time using VRBO. Traveled with my father and son. This rental was great and allowed us to relax and spread out. Very quiet street, clean and well kept house. Very close to southwest harbor and a short ride to park loop and attractions. It was nice to be on the “quiet side” of Mount Desert Island. Would stay here again. Easy to get into house and owner answered any questions quickly.

New home in a quiet location within walking distance of Acadia National Park trails. Short drive to the center of Southwest Harbor and a public golf course. Nice new appliances and very clean. There is no air conditioning, but it was not necessary with the cool Maine air. The host was very friendly and easy to communicate with.

Perfect place for a family of four. Clean, well stocked kitchen, great deck on the upper unit. We didn’t mind being away from the craziness of Bar Harbor.

This is a lovely new house, in a beautiful setting, right in the vicinity of everywhere you'd want to go in Acadia and Bar Harbor and it's very dog friendly too! This house is set in a pine forest with fledgling gardens, a corn hole court and and nice seating area. The kitchen and pantry are well stocked--better than anyplace I have stayed before, making it easy to settle in for some fun. There is a huge deck that our dog loved to be on to bask in the sun. The property is very thoughtfully designed with motion-sensitive lighting in the closets, pantry and exterior, lots of windows, effective ceiling fans in every room and easy shared laundry facilities. The furnishings, large dining set and beds are comfortable with soft linens and the bathroom has plenty of towels and other necessities. Lastly, the house is 2 minutes from the shops and restaurants in Southwest Harbor, 15-20 minutes to the heart of Acadia and a bit further to Bar Harbor. The owner is pleasant to communicate with and set everything up to be easy. Should we return to Acadia we will stay here again!

Stayed at this home with my 2 kids (12 and 15). The house was perfect for us: clean, comfortable, well-stocked with everything we could need, and in a quiet neighborhood. Deck is beautiful and great for relaxing in the evening. We went to Acadia and hiked every day. The house was very conveniently located for this. It’s about 20 minutes to Hulls Cove visitors center where we parked every day and took the Island Explorer bus to various trailheads. Host was great with communication before visit and responds quickly. Highly recommend, would definitely stay here again

We stayed for four nights and the location was convenient to Southwest Harbor and a short drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The kitchen was well equipped and was a perfect size for a family of four.

Very clean. Eric was a great host. This location was 15-20 minutes to everything on the island with a grocery 5 minutes away. It was nice to come back and cook a meal or two in house to save some money. The house is equipped with everything!!! A must stay!

This was our first time renting via VRBO and our first trip to Southwest Harbor, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. We had a great time at this property. The apartment was clean, and stocked with a fridge, laundry, extra fans if we got hot, and extra blankets if we were cold. It was remote and quiet which is what we were looking for. We had a rainy day in and the place was cozy and the dining table was perfect to do a puzzle! Definitely recommend staying here. Owner was super responsive and informative in a timely manner.

This property was located in a beautiful, quiet setting. We loved how close it was to Acadia and Bar Harbor but appreciated that it wasn’t in Bar Harbor. The space was comfortable and very clean with a nice, spacious deck. Highly recommend.

We were so comfortable at Eric's beautiful property, which was brand new, sparkling clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could think of -- from electric fans in the bedrooms, to a water filter in the fridge, to a dog bowl (though the place was so spotless you'd never know dogs sometimes stay there). All the switches were carefully labeled and the access instructions were clear and simple. We also appreciated all the helpful info about Acadia and the area. All around it made for a very pleasant and carefree stay.
