We had a great stay in this house. The house is versatile with two living areas. We played lots of billiards and even with some wet weather enjoyed our time.

With just a few inexpensive additions this could have been much better.
Like a previous comment, the dartboard and pool table were a disapointment with only one pool cue with a working tip. There was no triangle to set the balls up and no chalk blocks for the pool cue tips. The dart board has no darts. All easy cheap fixes.
There was no hand soap in the bathroom or hand towels (we just used a bath towel).
We also ran out of dishwashing liquid (not much to start with) and our request for more fell on deaf ears as I did not get a response from our host on this.
So overall it is good value in a nice quiet town. Could easily have been a much better experience with the above minor and cheap fixes.

Very poor outside maintenance / tall grass on lawns/ out side patio setting very dirty/ POOL table unplayable due pool ques having no tips/ dart board had no darts/Windows dirty/other wise beds were comfortable and kitchen set up was excellent.

Property was great! Just as described. My sister and I stayed with our kids and the set up was perfect! They had their bedroom down the back with a separate rec area and the pool table was a hit!

Great layout with two living areas. Very comfortable beds. Linen and towels supplied. Unpretentious and very comfortable with all you need for an enjoyable holiday. Pool table, televisions, dvd and dartboard were well used and added to our enjoyment.

Overall the property had all that was required. Outside is very old and dated. Plenty of space inside. Heating only in front room so it was very cold as being in winter. Outside light didnt work which was a bit annoying as we had a family funeral and returned when it was dark both nights. Also no fan in bathroom which made it very steamy after a shower. Jason very responsive and check in process was easy

From the outside it looks a bit dated but inside was very different. Clean, well maintained and well stocked with the necessities for a comfortable family stay at a very reasonable price. The owner was great to deal with and prompt with replies. Would definitely book again.

Relaxing and entertaining
This property was perfect for teenagers and adults. Two seperate living areas one with pool table and dart board that kept us all entertained. Furniture comfortable and not too upmarket so it was very easy to relax. The only thing missing was wifi but that wasn’t a big deal. We will probably book this property again next year if available!

A pleasant surprise
The property is a little dated but is clean and tidy. A great space for families with a separate living area with a pool table that was a big hit with the kids! There is no wifi which I thought was going to be a real problem but wasn't in the end. The only real drawback for me was that there is no dishwasher. Overall, we had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Great beach shack with lots of room
We had a great 2 night stay here with the kids and couple of friends. Plenty of room for everyone, and the kids loved the large area at back of house with their own bunk bedrooms, lounge area, and toilet.
Yard was a little overgrown and unmaintained, back table was a little rusty and dirty.. but probably just had been a while since people had been there. But great place to stay!

The place was a great stay with plenty of room for a family of five. Having a seperate games room was a real boon. Not much of a back yard but with parks and beaches within walking distance that was not a problem. With heating in only the front lounge room the back games room was a little cold on occasions. The kitchen was well kitted out and the place was very clean. Not having to bring linen was lovely.

Clean and convenient
I enjoyed the short stay with my family. The house was clean and had all the conveniences of home, so we really only needed to bring food. My one gripe is that we were there in mid winter and the house only has one heater, so it was colder than we expected. But we had fun playing pool and visiting the beach. It's a lovely quiet town.

Fun and fantastic house close to the beach
This house has a PLETHORA of character and is a great place for a family or group for a holiday. It easily sleeps 8 (2 doubles, 2 bunks) and has a wealth of facilities for rainy days (pool table, darts board (BYO), 2 TVs, 2 DVD players and a library of DVDs, puzzles etc). 10 minute walk to the beach, really good water pressure in the shower, heaps of pots / pans etc in the kitchen - a really fun and comfortable stay.

Dated property in need of a deep clean and update
Very dated property in need of a deep clean and update. All door handles were grimy, inside of cupboards were dirty, and a number of dishes within the cupboards were dirty. Carpet in lounge and hall was old, stained and smelly. Backyard in disrepair. I don’t agree with the other reviews of this property at all.
On a more positive note, the host Jason is responsive, the check-in process easy, and our kids enjoyed the pool table.
