The Host was friendly and extremely informative about local events and check in. Also very responsive to questions. The apartment was in a good location for walking to Madrid attractions, shopping, restaurants, museums and the train station. Also close to a good grocery store. Nice full-size refrigerator. Having two bathrooms was great and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was simple but convenient and good, particularly the fresh squeezed OJ.

Just some minor practical things. The temperature remote may have needed new batteries as it wasn't functioning. The couch was uncomfortable as the cushions slip off. There should be instructions on how to use the door with the keyless entry app vs the key. We had to figure out that the door locks automatically upon closing and if the deadbolt is on then the keyless entry won't work. The living room windows on the shared courtyard don't latch securely and the building was a bit loud (late night hallway conversations and lots of slamming doors).

Breakfast disappointing only because she did not open until 9am, and we missed several mornings as we were already out and about. We enjoyed the two mornings we got it.

The Appartment is really great and very accommodating, Frederic the owner was helpful in any need. The rooms are big and the beds are very comfortable. The Appartment is located near the metro station which is really good. Hopefully we shall visit Madrid again and stay here again.

Easy to get to and hard to leave, this place corresponds perfectly to the description. Start your day with the kind waitress at Fama for breakfast, stroll all over to enjoy the food adventures in this neighborhood that is also perfectly poised for taking in the museums, book shops, and gardens, and know that whatever your doubts, Frederic will have just the right tips to make your stay superb.

It was all fantastic

Frederic the host was great in response to every question and providing information. He made things easier. Super location, only few steps away from a metro station. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets around. Spacious Fully supplied kitchen. Fast internet (although it was down the last night we were in)

The check-in process was sort of new. You need access to internet before you can actually enter the building and the apartment. Although the host gave information of street internet access, it didn't work with me ! Thankfully I had my own roaming service which helped. This could be a very serious problem if internet becomes unavailable for any reason as there wasn't a contingency plan. The apartment was super "hot" when we checked in. In a very hot summer, it would have been nice to keep the ACs ON for few hours prior to arrival. The fans of the ACs (especially the main bedroom's) were pretty weak ! It took at least 24hrs for the apartment to be cool enough. The warm atmosphere in the apartment was the perfect condition for few bugs to "relax on the sofa bed" ! If you have lots of luggage or kids with stroller, it might be a bit tough given there were few stairs needs to be climbed before reaching the lift. Breakfast is outside the apartment, in a neibour resturant. It was only fine. Maybe it would work for solo travellers or couples, not family with little kids. We ended up having breakfast at the apartment (through buying our own groceries) for most of the days.

Comfort in the apartment, location, clean

The breakfast was simple but good. The place is just in the center of Madrid. And the host Frederic has been so far the best I have ever experienced. He recommended a lot of places and restaurants to visit which were very close to the apartment. Always helpful on the phone and very kind. We felt very welcomed.

My husband, myself and our 2 college aged kids stayed here for 1 week in the apartment with balcony and it was wonderful! The apartment is well furnished, very comfortable, quiet (not directly on street), had plenty of rooms/beds for all of us and 2 full bathrooms with showers. There was a nespresso coffee maker that takes original sized pods, which we were able to buy at Corte Ingles in Madrid. The air conditioning units worked well and there was a nice living room area for all of us to get together. The location couldn't be better. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go and there is a convenient metro station nearby, but we didn't use it. Breakfast next door at Fuente la Fama was a very good, typical European breakfast. Freshly ground coffee with whipped milk, freshly squeezed orange juice and a choice of either a croissant or toast with jam/butter. We had a very nice dinner there 1 night as well. There is a 2 story grocery store about 1 block away and Mercado Anton Martin also 1 block away - an indoor market with grocery vendors, international food stalls, bakery, restaurants and a unique experience. There are plenty of restaurants to walk to in the area and we were able to eat without a reservation. Frederic is a superb host - couldn't ask for better!! He sent us suggested itineraries for day trips to Segovia and Toledo, which we did. He also sent us other suggestions for things to do and see in and around Madrid. It was like having a private tour guide. He was very quick to answer any questions we had both before and during our stay. We did rent a car at the airport since we planned to go on day trips and also drove back to the airport the day before leaving for covid testing, which we scheduled appointments for before leaving for Madrid. Very easy process 30 euros for antigen test, done in terminal 4 with results emailed within 30 minutes. Driving and parking in Madrid is not easy, so better not to have a car.

Nowhere on the street to pull over and drop off suitcases. The parking garage below the apartment is very expensive and narrow. We parked at a low cost parking lot about 1/2 mile away much easier to get in and out of.

Very nice location close to the main Museums but also close to less touristy areas of Madrid. Host was very nice and gave us several splendid tips (exhibition but also Real Madrid national league celebration). Parking garage below, managed to park a large SUV there and they have 2 electric chargers.

We chose the apartment for location and to have more space. It worked on both dimensions as the apartment is an easy walk from the main train station (Atocha), the Prado, other museums, and lots of shopping. We were able to walk to most major tourist places and only used a cab a couple of times late in the day or to the airport with our luggage. There are also a bunch of good restaurants nearby, and the breakfast places available were good. The apartment also had lots of room for a family with a main bedroom for the parents, a second room with four twin beds and a sleeper sofa. The kitchen and dining table were useful for small snacks when you don't want to go out. We heard some noise from nearby apartments, but generally it was quiet. The apartment owner/manager was great communicating about the apartment, nearby facilities (such as a laundry and luggage lockers), and some special places we should visit. Among those suggestions, the rooftop bar at the Riu Hotel was something to see as we were there for an amazing sunset.

A luggage stand in the main bedroom would be really useful. We also had a little confusion about the entrance to the apartment when we arrived as the apartment door shares an entrance with the cleaning closet for the cleaning crew so that could be communicated better to avoid confusion.

We are a family of six and this apartment (1D) was ideal for us although it does sleep 8. The apartment had everything we needed and was in an excellent location near to Plaza Mayor and Retiro park. We have never had breakfast included in a self-catering apartment: a welcome addition and so handy in the little cafe next door! Frederick provides excellent customer service. He arranged our transfers, answered our questions and made great recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble.

Difficult to heat up the app. but it was really cold outside. Kitchen is not very well equipped. Cleaning is superficial, e.g. cigarettes on balcony.

The appartment was fine, we were just a bit surprised because it does not include parking (as suggested by mentioning it in the headline) and we thought there was one more room (in the photos pictures of different appartments appear as well). Apart from these confusions everything was fine, the appartment was quiet and clean. The breakfast in the restaurant downstairs was included and nice. The location is perfect for a Madrid trip as you can walk almost everywhere in the centre on foot.

Description in headline and photos do not fit reality 100%, which can lead to confusion about the size of the place. Also I do not understand why the parking is mentioned in the headline if there is none included.

Very convenient location. The restaurants that offer the breakfast were very clean, great service, close to the apartment and the food was delicious.

The host, frederic is very very nice. Very approachable. He helps you with everything you need to know on your trip. He will give you links and even go out of his way for you. We had problems with the door knobs and he made sure to take care of it as soon as possible which was very nice of him.

Breakfast is not good because the croissant or pastry they give you is not freshly baked and not properly handled as well. Plus the place to have it is not quite a good place considering the covid situation. The restaurant is quite a mess and not very good service. I suggest you explore the nearby cafes instead for breakfast. However, this is not against the host or the place to stay..because the host is very nice.

Some spots in apartment was not very clean, but after all it was good choice to stay.

The location is perfect, close to major sights, many restaurants, Metro, etc. The Host is very friendly, provided recommendations, organized a transfer from the airport for us (7 people for 45 euros). The breakfast is good - fresh orange juice, coffee/tea, and croissant/toast.

Make sure you get a digital key from the Host to access the property and download the STAYmyway app beforehand. There were also issues with the Internet.

Apartment is gorgeous .Big and clean . Two full bathrooms. Full kitchen. Excellent location , a few steps ( steps ) from Anton Martin subway .Walking distance to Reina Sofia , Prado , Atocha Rail station . Easy communication with Frederic .He offers a breakfast in a restaurant just below the building . Acces is with digital keys he send you days before check in . Have internet available with you, or take wifi in the restaurant. Fredric scheduled a transfer for my family from Barajas airport . If you have a family of 5-7 people do not hesitate in booking with him . He speaks Spanish , French , English and a very good Portuguese .
