Our group had an amazing time, enjoyed the beautiful views and house. It gives you that tucked away feeling but town store is close very convenient.

We had a lovely second stay at Vale Cabin. The view from the second floor is stunning, and we enjoyed hiking in Grafton Notch State Park. The only disappointment is that the weeds outside have grown tall enough to block the mountain view so it can only be enjoyed from the main level, or second floor, of the cabin. We couldn’t enjoy the view from outside while in the hot tub, playing corn hole, or having a fire, like pictured in older photos.

The property sits in a very rural part of the mountain country of Maine. It's very near the Sunday River ski resort. Even the "off season" in Maine is busy--it truly is vacationland.
We hiked and swam in some off the grid swimming holes (gorgeous scenery), drove to Portland found beaches and visited some landmarks and ate good seafood, and checked out a couple of local brewpubs that had awesome food.
We had lots of room, the place was clean, and spectacular view from the living room. Would recommend.

Really a great place to rent! Enjoyed mt. Washington and kayaking on Sunday river. Four stars only because the hot tub was a big part of our choice and it def needs some TLC. Otherwise highly recommend!

Excellent location and beautiful home. We love to eat together and the long dining room table and well equipped kitchen was just what we love in a vacation home. We enjoyed the hot tub which was very clean after a day of skiing. We would love to stay there again!!

Our family of four( two teen kids) and both sets of grandparents gathered for our third annual pre- holiday gathering. We had an amazing time at this cute house. We really enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and proximity to town. The Christmas tree also made the perfect holiday vibe.

We stayed her for a wedding in Bethel. It was an excellent location, the place was as described in the listing, it was clean, and the owner was very responsive! We had a few pictures taken there because it was so beautiful with the mountains as a backdrop and they turned out incredible! Unfortunately, we were too busy to enjoy all the amenities the place had to offer, but we plan on returning. Thank you again for a memorable stay.

Our stay was fantastic! The house is beautiful, it has a cabin feel but is very modern and comfortable. The views are spectacular! Everything was clean when we arrived, and the check-in/check-out process was super easy. The house had everything we needed and more! The beds are comfortable and everyone was able to have their own space in our group of 7.

Our family stayed at Vale Cabin for two three day weekends with another family during the winter of 2023 and we had a blast! The house was clean, the manager was responsive and a pleasure to work with, the cabin is stocked with supplies, hot tub was clean and hot with chemicals to probably treat after each use, comfy beds and linens, plenty of towels and cleaning supplies. No complaints here, we loved the house and would return.

We spent a Friday/Saturday here, checking in and enjoying the amenities as listed, getting a cozy night sleep and then heading off to Sunday River for the day. The kids thought it was so cool you could see the trails from the property and the adult appreciated being in such close proximity. It’s the perfect getaway location; we’ll definitely be back. Mike's cabin was our home base for a few days of skiing and hiking around the Bethel/Gorham area and was an excellent stay! The cabin is very conveniently located just outside of town, is in wonderful condition, and has all the stops needed for an awesome experience with a sizeable group. The kitchen and dining area had essentially every piece of kitchenware one could need and everything was of a superb quality.
For those visiting in Winter, the cabin is incredibly efficient with its heating and and thermal envelope. During our stay temperatures constantly dipped below -20F with high winds but there was no issue with heating retention/response and the beautiful large triple pane windows had barely any heat transfer.
Mike was very prompt in answering all our questions and extremely helpful! When our party had issues traversing up the driveway, Mike had the driveway promptly sanded the next day.
I would highly recommend choosing this as your stay!

The house was beautiful with a lovely view, hot tub and entertainment room. It was close to the ski slopes and town. We arrived at the end of a big snow storm and the driveway had been freshly plowed. I’d highly recommend this home.

I can’t say enough good things about Mike’s place. He is an incredible host: generous, kind, responsive. The house is very well appointed and stocked and I suggest you check the place out before you do your grocery and supply shopping. There are several small gourmet stores in the area and the Bethel Foodliner and Dollar General are well stocked. The hot tub and fire pit are a perfect place to warm up after a long day of skiing and watch the sunset over Mt Washington. Sunday River is a great place to ski: not crazy crowded like Stowe and places in Colorado; they work hard to keep the runs up to par. We will be back!

We had 8 adults gathered for a family member"s 75th birthday. Everyone had a bed and each bed was comfortable and nicely put together. The kitchen had most any utensil or pot needed and many necessities to get you started like coffee, spices, oils, etc.
The views from the cabin are spectacular. The hot tub and fire pit made for a great place to gather outside with the mountains in full view.
Communication with the owner was quick and easy. I highly recommend this for a cozy, clean, and well equipped get away!
