There are road trips, sightseeing trips and vacations. This is a perfect vacation spot. The lake is peaceful and beautiful. The house is comfortable and stocked better than any vacation home I have ever rented. The owners will make you feel like their guests. We chose this location because it was close to Platte River Point. If you’ve never been there it’s a must. The town of Lake Ann is charming and has everything you need. This may have been the best vacation I have ever taken. Many thanks to the owners for preparing a perfect place.

This Vrbo was so calm and serene. We really enjoyed the lake and birds. So quiet!!! Clean, spacious and well stocked. Also close to so many of our favorite places. Only 20-25 minutes to Interlochen, Beulah, Glen Arbor and Traverse City. Thanks for sharing your beauiful place with us!

A wonderful lake front property on a quiet lake (No speedboats or jet skis). There is a great deck with room for everyone, fully equipped kitchen and a firepit. Lake Ann is a quaint little town with restaurants and groceries.

This home is well taken care of, extremely clean, and had everything we needed for comfort and day-to-day living. The owners have thought of everything, and then some. We enjoyed exploring the lake and the nature surrounding it. We took the paddle boat out nearly every day, at least once, and the boat every evening for fishing. The beds and living room furniture were quite comfortable and there were plenty of things to do at the house. The location is perfect for visiting Fishtown in Leland (if you get a chance, eat at Rick's Cafe on the dock!), Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and more. We enjoyed the quaint little "downtown," a few blocks from the cabin, where we ate a couple of times and visited the ice cream place. A couple of nights they had live music out behind the Stone Oven restaurant where there are many picnic tables for people to sit, eat and enjoy. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly. The Internet worked great, as well as the TV. The grill was relatively new and we took advantage of that a couple of nights. I appreciate the Shields opening their home and entrusting us to care for it while enjoying some much-needed time away from the craziness of work. We will definitely consider returning and highly recommend this clean and cozy home.

We enjoyed our week on Bryan Lake. The house is very big and well maintained. The lake is lovely - spring fed with pretty clear water and some vegetation. My wife enjoyed swimming each day and I was able to fish each day. Caught lots of bass but nothing really big. Steve had told me that would be the case. Good location for visiting Lake Michigan and Traverse City. The only suggestion I would have is to upgrade the outdoor grill. It seems quite old and is rusting so we chose not to use it. But overall a very enjoyable stay.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this home. The house is clean, has a great view, and has all the conveniences of a home away from home. The house is perfectly placed for trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, etc. Steve is a wonderful communicator. Thanks for opening up your home. I highly recommend this place.

Loved it so close to my sons home , would like to book it again next year

This is our third time staying here because we love the Lelanau area and this peaceful home gives access to the surrounding great outdoors. Beautiful lake view from the deck is a highlight. Nice firm beds. Well stocked with supplies.

We had a wonderful time at this home. So close to Traverse City, and Sleeping bear. We went to the wineries up the Old Mission peninsula one day and the Leelanau peninsula another. Went fishing early morning on the rowboat, floated on the rafts in the beautiful quiet lake. The house was totally equipped with anything you need, and if you missed something, there is a country store around the corner that has Everything!, had a great time and would definitely go back!

The only negatives were the TV is very old/outdated. The DVD player did not work for the DVDs we brought. The canoe needs the seats fixed. Otherwise, what a wonderful, quiet location on a beautiful little lake.

Super location at the “intersection” of Traverse City, the Sleeping Bear Dunes and the Leelanau Peninsula. Incredible lake view from the deck. Two stall garage is a bonus, especially if you are biking. House is spacious with two levels of visiting space.

First off I have to say Steve's customer service was great. very friendly and helpful. If I had a question he responded fairly quick. The home has everything he describes and more. The property is a great location on Lake Bryan and is pretty private. The neighbor next door was friendly and even offered his propane tank for the grille if we ran out. It is very peaceful and comfortable. The large deck was great for a cookout and relaxing. The kitchen has everything you would need and more. It actually has 2 kitchens with one downstairs along with a pool table and 3rd bedroom and bathroom. as well as laundry. There is a local store down the street that has everything you may need. It's only about 15-20 minutes from downtown Traverse City. We highly recommend staying here and will do so the next time we visit the area.

We loved waking to the gorgeous view of lake bryan. The area was quiet and peaceful. Just what we needed to escape daily life. The home was very nice and clean. As well as, stocked with anything we could need.

The house was very nice. We used it for a home base while we were out exploring the beautiful area surounding it. Great location! We want to return during the summer to enjoy the lake more. Highly recommended.

We very much enjoyed everything about this Rental Home, it was clean, close to everything, and the views were amazing! We would love to go back here again in a different season and enjoy going out on the lake.

Near to Traverse City and all the great Michigan wineries.

Although the weather could have been better, the cottage was in a great location for what we wanted. Located close to Frankfort, Traverse City, Suttons Bay, and Sleeping Bear National Park. We made it to all! The cottage was VERY clean and neat. This is number one on our list of what we're looking for in a rental. We didn't cook at all but noticed that if we had wanted to, there was anything and everything you would need. We also like some privacy and quiet. This had both. The time of year probably helped. It's a nice view of the lake from the deck. The weather kept me from fishing, but hope to return another time to maybe try again!
