Nuestra hermosa cabaña está a solo 10 minutos a pie del centro de Los Olivos en nuestro rancho privado de 5 acres. Conducir a través de las puertas, más allá de los corrales, por el camino bordeado de árboles y entrar en nuestra casa de campo reformada.
La cabaña solía ser una cabaña de caza en la década de 1960 y todavía conserva todo su encanto. Ingrese a la sala de estar con gruesas paredes de troncos originales de la cabaña. Encontrará pisos de madera y una chimenea de leña que se abre a un comedor con un gran ventanal. Hay una cocina completa con encimeras de granito oscuro y suelos de mármol, y un lavadero / despensa con su propia lavadora y secadora. Escondido cerca de las escaleras hay un baño completamente equipado y removido con una gran ducha con azulejos y grandes toallas mullidas. Fuera de la zona de comedor, hay un acogedor dormitorio con una cama de matrimonio y vistas al jardín.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay at the cottage this weekend, 7/19/24. Check in process was easy. Owners provided directions and details ahead of time and we had no problems. Four adults. Very comfortable and although the cottage is on property of owner, it feels very private. We enjoyed the outdoor garden sitting area in the cool mornings and wine evenings. Visited the chickens and horses on property, fresh eggs provided. Very close to downtown. Great place. Would love to go back in cooler weather and enjoy the charming fireplaces.

Such a cozy comfortable and well appointed home on a gorgeous piece of property!! The beds are so comfortable, the linens and towels are good quality and the kitchen is well-stocked with high quality utensils and cookware. And you can walk to town because it’s so close. Can’t say enough great things about this home!!!

The “cabin” is cozy and inviting. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful. If you like a farm life you’ll love this place, we did. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. We loved the place and will return.

We had the best time at this beautiful cottage. The cottage is very clean and is very thoughtfully equipped. There were four adults and there was plenty of room. The surroundings are stunning. I can’t wait to return and soon. I can’t enough great things about this cottage!

The perfect place to stay while visiting Los Olivos! The setting is incredible with views of the mountains and pastures (horses and hens included!). We loved the place, 1 bedroom and bath downstairs, nice living area with a dining room, wonderfully appointed kitchen with washer and dryer, and another bedroom and bath upstairs. Comfy beds, nice towels, lovely seating area outside to relax. The place is about a mile to town and a beautiful place to walk. We ate at Bar Le Cote and highly recommend. Would love to come back and stay again! Thank you for such a wonderful getaway.

This beautiful cabin provided my family with the sweetest kind of reunion possible.
The cabin was well stocked. We didn't have to think or worry about anything.
Everything was in good working order, again taking away any concern or worry. From fireplace to fridge, all worked great.
Beds were comfy, cabin was cozy, and we were happy.
We hope to stay again next Christmas.

The TWO fireplaces, the soaking tub, the authentic log cabin feel...this is a truly magical property--next to a 300 year old oak trees, no less, and so close to town. We loved our stay and will definitely be returning!!

We all enjoyed staying here, it's only a 3 minute drive into Los Olivos. Wish it had another shower upstairs in the master bedroom but it all worked out ok. We would certainly stay here again.👍

…a gorgeous property…delightful cottage with well stocked kitchen…gracious hosts…it instantly felt like home away from home…we biked every day and cooked dinner every evening…used the farm fresh eggs to make carbonara…only the sound of crickets at night…couldn’t ask for anything more…

This cottage was perfect for our stay and we will definitely stay here again in the future! It's in a gorgeous location that feels like you're far away, yet it's really close to the "downtown" of Los Olivos - walking distance. It was immaculate. The cottage is cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed and then some. Highly recommend!

The house and property were very clean and well cared for. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. It's a short distance of the main street and gated as well so it was very private and quiet. We hope to stay here the next time we visit the area!

John and Karen’s cottage in Los Olivos was a perfect get away for our 37th anniversary. Was clean, the beds we’re comfortable and the sheets and towels were great! John was on hand and was there if anything was needed (it wasn’t). Great host!!
We didn’t eat there with all the options in town, Solvang and Santa Yanez, but kitchen was well stocked. We VRBO 3 or 4 times a year and found their cottage to be delightful!
There was a small dog in the area that barked in the middle of the night for a couple hours but oh well there had to be something 😀
Was very neat to wake up to the sounds of chickens. Definitely planning on going again!

Clean, comfortable and well appointed two bedroom cottage was just what we needed during our three night stay in Los Olivos. Close enough to “town” but still tucked away and quiet. Centrally located to all the tasting rooms and wineries we wanted to hit. And the eggs from the chickens on the property were very tasty.

We loved our stay at this beautiful cottage. The grounds that it are on are magical. I loved seeing the horses from the kitchen sink! Speaking of kitchens, this one is very well equipped and our first night included a home cooked meal and I found everything I needed. The house is super clean. Both beds are super cozy with great mattresses and pillows. Huge walk in shower downstairs and wonderful bathtub in the upstairs primary bedroom. We opted to walk instead of use the bikes but the area around the house is wonderful for walking with an abundance of roses, olive trees and horses - true Santa Ynez! We had wine and cheese the first night at the picnic table/adirondack chair area which was lovely especially when the cafe lights came on. And thank you John and your chickens for the fresh eggs you left us! A truly wonderful time, I. highly recommend this beautiful little house!

We absolutely loved this adorable cottage!! It was perfect for 4 of us for a girls weekend. We actually brought lunch home one afternoon so we could sit outside and enjoy the serene view, complete with horses!! Also a perfect location, close to downtown. The added bonus was the farm fresh eggs from the owner, just delightful. Would 100% stay here again and highly recommend.

John and Karen have created a cozy and welcoming spot for a weekend getaway in Los Olivos. Everything was spotless, the kitchen was well-equipped, there were farm-fresh eggs in the fridge, and both beds were comfortable. Despite the allure of downtown Los Olivos, the cottage was so cute that we spent a good chunk of Saturday afternoon enjoying the shaded porch and admiring the horses and chickens. Definitely recommend!

This cottage was the perfect spot to stay while visiting the Santa Ynez valley. Because of the secluded setting, it was very quiet. We loved the farm fresh eggs for breakfast too! The valley is so small, that you are 10-15 min from wherever you need to be. We would absolutely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was fun being on a horse ranch. Cottage is well equipped. The downstairs shower was awesome, lots of water pressure! Love that the chickens provided us with eggs. They were delicious. Dexter, the dog, is a real cutie although very shy. We enjoyed trying to play with him. Thanks, John & Karen for a wonderful stay. Looking forward to a return trip.

We were looking for a place to have quiet, beautiful surroundings & this place was the perfect answer. All conveniences from questions about the house or surrounding areas was already answered in the written information. Beds were super comfy. Every window you looked out of showed nature at its best. Best well stocked kitchen & bathroom needs that I have encountered in VRBO's.

Spotless clean! Beds were so comfortable! I loved the shower and the wall heater in the bathroom, as it was cold when we were there. Kitchen is lovely and fully stocked. It was a very cozy location perfect for the 4 of us! We had a wonderful stay!

Our stay was nothing short of perfection. Beautiful neighborhood, amazing property, and adorable home. We loved seeing the horses and chickens and got some great photos. The home is private and very quiet. Easy walk to downtown Los Olivos, where all the lovely wine tasting rooms are located. Highly recommend this VRBO and we will be back! Thank you John and Karen!

We had such a lovely stay at this cute little cottage. The place was perfect for 4 adults and the grounds are so beautiful and bucolic. Plenty of stunning outdoor spaces to hang, weather permitting. Waking up to horses grazing out the kitchen window added to the magic! It's super private, under 5 minutes to Los Olivos and an easy location to zip around to neighboring towns. The owners were clear, friendly, and quick in their communications, making everything super easy. Only thing to note is the internet connection: don't plan a working getaway as you'll probably struggle with the wifi. Would highly recommend staying there!

This place was even better than expected! We were a group of 4 women that drove up from Hermosa for a wine tasting/birthday celebration. This adorable cottage is private and the surroundings are beautiful and peaceful.
The cottage is a perfect size and very clean with every amenity you might need. We used the wood burning fireplace a lot which was perfect for wine, cheese and good laughs.
I don’t always say this, but I would 100% rent this place again as would my friends.

This is a lovely and cozy getaway spot for 2 couples...in the countryside but walkable to town. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the house has all you could want, complete with a fireplace. The hosts are easy to work with. This is a favorite spot - we've stayed several times in recent years and are always eager to return.

Instructions and pictures were accurate. Kitchen and bathrooms had all the necessities. Wifi worked fine for laptops and phones. Beds and linens very comfortable. Wish we'd had more time. Even had a visit from the friendly local cat (she wanted inside, but we weren't convinced so kept our visit to the front porch). Many, many winery tasting rooms nearby. Didn't use bikes (next time). Could easily see staying here for a week.

The cottage has everything you need, very clean, very cute. Owners got back to me right away when I messaged them. We appreciated the special touches like fresh eggs in fridge and pumpkins on the porch for fall. Location is great to go wine tasting in the area. Perfect spot for 2 couples to enjoy!
