Attempted to checkin early the day of our reservation. At this point the Front Desk person informed me that the resort was overbooked and we would be “relocated”. We eventually found at this would mean being placed at a different hotel in a room that was not comparable. Their “relotion g

The property is dated. The room had 2 twins in the 2nd room, we expected queens. No washer & dryer as described.most of the outlets don’t work. The towels are like paper.

Wyndham Resort is a Winner
Our 2 bedroom/2 bath suite was clean, well maintained with full kitchen. The propery offered excellent amenities, activity center for children, in-house theater, indoor/outdoor pools, with fabulous staff, and service! Location was ideal. Walking distance to everything. Free parking.

Room was just what we needed.
For the most part, we enjoyed our stay at this facility. The room was large enough for a family of 5 and there were activities for the kids. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils.
The only complaint we had was we went to the pool one day and there was a family (parents drinking alcohol) there not watching their kids while they used the pools- and there were probably 6-7 small kids in the hot tub despite there being a rule of 13 and over. We later discovered pieces of diaper and/or toilet paper floating around and my daughter confirmed after chatting with one of the kids that her 4 year old sister was wearing a regular diaper in the water and it had started disintegrating. That was it for us, we left. No one is supervising the pool area or enforcing the rules despite multiple employees having walked through the pool area (it seemed to be a main thoroughfare from on side of the resort to another). Better vigilance in the pool area may have been nice.

Great spot for families!
Our kids had an absolute blast! The indoor outdoor swimming pool and hot tubs were a big hit. The kids had their own room which was nice for us parents to get a little time away from them at the end of the night.
Having the full kitchen, fully stocked with all the supplies you could need was amazing. We had breakfast in the room each morning we were there and it was great to have a toaster microwave, blender, microwave and all the equipment!
Location was awesome. So close to the downtown. Easy to walk to everything and explore the shops and restaurants.
If we return to Newport we will absolutely want to stay here again.

Fantastic location. Walk to everything.
Resort with fun activities especially for younger kids. Theater and game room in resort was perfect for rainy days. Didn’t use pool because there were a lot of young kids due to vacation week. Overall, great experience. Rooms was spacious, very well stocked kitchen for cooking, free parking, walk to everything. Will stay again.

The Vacation Club is perfectly located... centric but away from the hustle bustle of Bowen's Warf. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Very safe to walk to and from during the day or night.

Weekend Getaway
I loved the location of this property - within walking distance of just about everything we wanted to do in Newport - yet far enough away to feel secluded. There were some Covid restrictions in place - no spas and we could not enjoy the beautiful balcony/deck in the center of our building - but we would definitely visit again.

Great place.
Our unit was great - clean, well equipped, matched the online description perfectly. The check in process was weird because they called the day before to do a "pre check-in" but when we arrived we needed to check in all over again and none of the information I gave over the phone was in the system. Not a huge deal, but like I said...just weird. Like, why do the pre-checkin at all?
The location is close to downtown, which is great, but the building itself is at the end of the road, so it's a couple minute walk up the road to get to the main downtown. Would be a hike with little kids...or after a few glasses of wine with dinner :)
Would stay there again and recommend to others.

Nice place to stay with kids
I spent 2 days visiting with my 13-year-old grandson. He loved the pool, the arcade & the activities. We weren't here long but he got to make a candle & can't wait to come back for more crafts.
The apartment was spotless. They provided dish detergent + the usual soap, shampoo & conditioner and even a tiny salt & pepper. The beds & pillows were very comfortable & there was bedding in the closet for people that might use the sofa bed.
Our unit did not have a washer/dryer (the photos show a washer/dryer) so I assume some units have them & some don't. I didn't ask if there was a laundry room to use because I was only there for 2 nights.
The prices for this time of year (January) were very reasonable & I would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect for girls getaway
We rented an absolutely perfect two bedroom suite for our 5 night stay. The unit was well stocked and clean. The kitchenette was small but sufficient for our needs. There were adequate appliances and cookware to prepare all of our food, including steaming a fresh lobster!
The location absolutely cannot be beat! It is directly across the street from the marina and bridge to goat island, which provided beautiful views! It is a very quick walk to Thames street which had wonderful shops and excellent food. I highly recommend this property!

Great Resort in Newport!
This is our 5th time staying at this resort in Newport. Very close to everything (walking distance) - parked the car for the entire weekend. Staff is friendly and helpful. Free cocktail hour in the lobby Friday afternoon! Spacious unit which had everything we needed for a fantastic weekend. We will definitely be back!

The unit was so spacious, had plenty of towels (including pool towels) and toiletries. Stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and very clean. I would stay here again over any standard hotel. The facilities were great and although it was off season, I could see that it would be fun for warm weather. Perfect for a girls trip or families!

Clean and centrally located to all the shops , restaurants and bars
I loved the hotel room, clean and everything we needed was included. Perfect size for my family of 5. Staff was friendly and visible. My only issue were the noise. You could hear flushing of toilets from neighboring rooms & people talking and walking late at night in the halls. There was a lot of noise which didn’t allow me to get a good night slp. I felt like there was no proper installation. Also I feel like breakfast should’ve been included so that we wouldn’t have had to scram for food early in the morning especially after not being able to slp at night. Apart from those negatives this was a lovely stay.

Perfect for the start of our New England tour.
We were on our way to tour New England for a fall tour. Our first stop was a 2 day stay at The Point. Even though we arrived late on the first night the staff was available and very helpful. They pointed us to a great restaurant. Every thing about the condominium was as advertised and the Newport location near the seaside was perfect for the start of our tour.

What panic! How could they lose a reservation particularly since they charged my account before we arrived... luckily the staff was wonderful and we were upgraded to a suite.... I would be very cautious before I book again

quiet seaside resort get away
We enjoyed our weekend anniversary in Newport at the Wyndham Inn at Long Wharf. The views were amazing, the condo we were in was beautiful, clean and had all the luxuries we were expecting. The gym and indoor pool were nice and in great shape, the grounds were beautifully kept and the location couldn't be better! We could see the boats in the harbour from our bed or from the couch, we were able to walk downtown, it was quiet and off the main street enough but close enough that we didn't have to drive anywhere and worry about parking- we were able to walk everywhere we went. There are great antique shops near by as well as the brick market plaza and all the other great spots that Newport has to offer. We go to Newport several times a year because it is close to home but feels like a real vacation, we have never stayed at this resort before but now we will stay at this resort every time!
