We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house was huge, with bedrooms enough for everyone, and room for people to spread out and relax or play. The hot tub and poker table were big hits. The views from the deck were gorgeous. The kitchen and bar had all the amenities you could want.
One of the elderly people in our party had a bit of trouble with number of stairs in the house, but we knew that was a possibility because the posted pictures of the property clearly show lots of stairs.
Overall, the house was fantastic and we would happily stay again!

Annual family reunion. Great roomy home with lots of activities for the family. Well stocked kitchen. Great game room and hot tub. A bit warm in the house, we opened the windows during the night to cool the house down then closed in the daytime which worked great. Would stay there again!!

Had an awesome time with the family. Easy check in, close to the restaurants and casinos. House had wifi, played pool, poker, jakuzi was nice. Great time! The kitchen had everything you need for cooking, however the knifes can be sharpened. All around it was a pleasant experience.

We were a large party of 13, the house had plenty of room for all of us. The dining table was great for game nights, the beds were all comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook. Location was also good. The host was easy to communicate with and gave some great suggestions on things todo and where to eat. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood. We went for a hike on one of the mornings we stayed and it was perfect. It was easy to find the trail right down the street. The decks at the house were wonderful. We even had a chance to sit in the hot tub one morning. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Great house for family get-togethers! Everything was well-provided to us, owner was very proactive with communication and the location was perfect if you wanted drive 10 minutes to test your luck at the casino.

We reserved to attend the Celebrity Golf Tournament. We had a group ranging from 2 months old to 62 years old. Plenty of space for everyone. The place was well stocked with everything you could want. We had a fun group BBQ and would plan on reserving again!

Absolutely Amazing!
Love this cabin, great location and easy access to stores and downtown. Spacious with an open floor plan - great room was perfect for family movie night. The cabin is well maintained and has everything you need, plus more. They really supply all of the necessities. The bedrooms were perfect and beds were very comfortable. Highly recommended and would definitely rent this cabin again.

Our group of 12 had an amazing time at Elk View. The house seemed even larger in person than in the photos - very spacious. Hot tub was awesome and everything was clean. More supplies and appliances in the kitchen than any other rental I've ever stayed at. Renee is an incredible host! Awesome weekend!
My friends and I had an awesome weekend at this house. For such a big house, it was very clean and had everything we needed for cooking and hanging out. A super cool perk of the place were the heated floors - it made the house super warm and comfortable. The location was perfect as it was only about 15 minutes from Heavenly or downtown Tahoe.

Exactly what we needed
Just have to say that this was one of the best experiences I’ve had with any host. Renee was in constant communication throughout the whole process. We didn’t really know if the fires 🔥 would affect out dates or stay . Renee was so helpful and easy to work with offering different options just in case we needed to cancel or postpone . The house was very clean and had plenty of room for all of us to enjoy . The house was fully equipped with everything we needed ! Everyone in our group loved the place and a few of them are already asking for the contact info for the next trip !

Good amenities, great location, beautiful setting, but room for minor improvements
Good amenities including the hot tub and game room, several decks with chairs and tables, grill, and nice bedrooms. Excellent location--everything in South Lake Tahoe was within a 10 minute drive. Photos seemed pretty accurate and the setting is quite beautiful. We appreciated the recent installation of the fans in the bedrooms since the house (like most houses in Tahoe) doesn't have A/C. We never really felt it was too hot, and we stayed in mid-July.
However, the check in information was not correct. The incorrect code was sent to us because of confusion with names. This was resolved within 10 minutes or so. When we got inside the house, it was overall neat but there were a few details that suggested it might not have been thoroughly cleaned. We found a warped wire coat hanger on the carpet which appeared to be trash. We also found a prior renter's iphone in the couch. The washing machine seems a bit underpowered, as the glasses had some residue on them.
The garage door remote was missing and we were warned by the house documents to park inside due to tree sap. So, whenever we arrived home someone had to get out of the car, enter the house, go downstairs and open the garage door from the inside. Similarly, leaving required someone to stay outside the car, hit the garage button after the car was out, and run under the door but over the sensor.
Perhaps it was COVID, but there weren't many condiments or spices in the kitchen, nor coffee or tea. We did some cooking and bought what we needed.
The house is very spacious but a bit strained with three couples (only occupying 3 of the bedrooms) because of the 2.5 baths--there were only two showers, and one (the master) was ensuite. Would be nice to have more bathrooms for a house of that size and number of bedrooms.
There is a fair bit of road noise as the house is on a busy street. The road noise is quite noticeable with any of the front facing windows open. The master suite faces onto the street, and we were forced to close the window to the cool night air due to the noise. However, the back deck is quite peaceful. There are several decks to enjoy.
The dining area was lovely and accommodates a large number of people with all the food we cooked, which we really enjoyed!
Overall, we enjoyed the stay and would stay again but felt there was room for minor improvements.

Awesome place to stay. Close to South Lake, and the house was perfectly stocked with everything you could need and more. Perfect spot for a larger group, as there were multiple beds and rooms! Check in and out was easy, and would definitely stay again!

The BEST in South Lake
We loved this house and the owners. Renee was so accommodating and so sweet to our group. This house had everything you need. Literally everything. The location is perfect and the neighborhood is quiet. It’s far enough from town to be quiet but close enough to get the feel of Tahoe. The hot tub was perfect and so was the game room. Don’t listen to the other reviews about the decibel meters. We literally had the LOUDEST grown human man on the planet with us and we had no issues. Rent this home. You will not regret it. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Family Trip
We had a great time at this property. My family enjoyed the game room and the hot tub. I had two family members that have a hard time going up and down stairs so this might not be a good location if you have family members that can’t go up and down stairs. It was a lot of work having to carry everything up and down. All in all we were happy to be at this property. The owner is really nice and welcoming.

Keep in mind, there was 10 adults in the house... hard to not have noise. We were very careful to follow the rules and not have loud music or be out in the hot tub after 10pm. We spent most of our time in the game room. We had music going (that could not even be heard on the top floor) and one of us was constantly going outside to make sure no one could hear the noise outside. We were talking, playing cards, and having a good time when I started getting text messages from the owner stating that she was getting alerts of the noise. These text messages went on until 2am. which at this point there was only 4 of us in the game room with music that was not even loud enough for the people upstairs to hear. There are signs posted everywhere with rules and rules and more rules. One sign is even suggesting to play silent games. Who rents a house in beautiful Lake Tahoe to go play silent games? If you're looking to spend money on renting a house to go have a good time with family and friends, this is not the house for you. A couple days before our stay, i received an email with rules to the house and let me just say, If i had known of all the things wrong with the house and the rules involved, i would've never spent so much money on renting this house.Oh and to top it all off, the blanket in the master bedroom had a stain that looked like blood.
