We have booked this unit a number of times. It's a great little house.

Beautiful location. My fiancée and I were there alone and got scolded for having music by the fire. Were told it was a quiet neighborhood. No tv inside and no music aloud at night. Kitchen was overran by ants. Basement ping pong table was covered in dust when we tried to play. Great place if your only intention is to be quiet inside.

We always have a wonderful time at this beautiful home The view is fantastic, it is immaculate, lovely art and furnishings. Lots to do in area Highly recommend!

Next time I visit here I will stay longer! The view is amazing, the location is great for daytrips, and the house is cozy.

The views of the Mississippi River from the deck of this property are stunning. The property is very well furnished, quite beyond what was expected from the description (you pretty much need to bring nothing). We enjoyed the tranquility of the property very much and, if staying in the area, would rent here again. Quick note: be aware there is another property being constructed next door as of September 2021. We did not find this intrusive, as the tree line blocks most of the noise and we did a lot of day trips anyway. However you should be aware that you may hear the occasionally beeping of a bulldozer backing up.

Loved the property, inside and out. Private location with beautiful views from all of the windows. A very comfortable and pleasant home. Enjoyed walking the property and watching the visiting deer family and variety of birds. Great location for easy exploring of the towns, shops, and restaurants along the river. Everything was fabulous. I only wish we had better access to the lake we had such a great view of. All in all we had a great time and it was a nice little house.

Property was well kept up with many amenities. The furnished family /rec. area as well as the sauna were noteworthy examples. The view of lake Pepin from the deck was awesome ! Plenty area to hike both on and around the property. Fred M

Despite a couple of rainy days during our long weekend, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Being at the edge of the bluff makes it feel like a tree house with the way the land drops away from the deck side and the trees grow up from far below. Being familiar with the area, I knew we’d hear the occasional train down along Hwy 35, but beyond that our soundtrack was just birds and music (thanks for the great CD collection available). We identified a few species we don’t see at home and really loved the antics of the many hummingbirds. This is definitely a place I’ll recommend to friends and family!

We have been to this lovely spot before I would highly recommend if you love nature and gorgeous views Extremely clean and just overall a blast!!!

Fun and relaxing getaway to Lake Pepin. Awesome house in Maiden Rock with stunning views and wild life galore!

See first time review last year. Stay was even better basically because we were more familiar with the area, though COVID-19 prevented us from enjoying the local towns & shops.

We had such a lovely getaway, we really needed a change of scenery this summer of quarantine and we picked a perfect spot! Peaceful, beautiful (inside and out) and comfortable. The house is equipped with everything we needed, the property is so pretty and there is just so much nature to enjoy. Loved watching the hummingbirds at the feeders. I'd never seen (or heard!) them up close before. Their little tiny selves were such a contrast to the eagle family that was soaring above. The bench down on the point was a perfect place to sit and watch Lake Pepin. As was the deck - which is where we spent most of our time. We were treated to the NEOWISE comet from the deck each night we were there, and after the comet was gone for the night, the stars! Thanks for sharing this treasure!

Due to all the COVID-19 restrictions, we decided to go for a vacation closer to home. This was a perfect stay. The house is beautiful. We had breakfast on the deck every morning with a gorgeous view of the lake and enjoyed beautiful evenings at the front of the house. Our four year old daughter loved the tree swing at the back. It was really hot (90 degree weather) during our stay and I was worried we wouldn't be able to hang outside much but other than the peak hours in the afternoon we were able to go for hikes etc and just chill at the house in the afternoon in the air conditioning. Being able to see the fireflies at night was such a treat! We also loved seeing deer, hummingbirds and other birds. The bird feeders are perfectly situated to be able to enjoy bird watching from a distance or inside the house. We visited Frontenac state park and want hiking on the Barn bluff in Red Wing. The only disappointment was not being able to enjoy the beaches. The one closest in Bay City and the one at Florence Township in Frontenac had swarms of mayflies. It was probably juist breeding season but it was disappointing not being able to cool off on the lake. One thing I also didn't realize before we arrived was that almost all restaurants were about 20-30 mins away so just an fyi if you're not planning to cook dinner. Overall we had a wonderful time!

This property is magical. It’s location and views are amazing. It was everything we were looking for in a romantic weekend getaway; peaceful, relaxing, loved being surrounded by nature and wildlife. The house is exactly as it was advertised. We will definitely be going back again.

The property was beautiful! We felt safe and comfortable while enjoying privacy and the surrounding nature. Liz was also so responsive to all of our communications and provided a thorough binder of local information that made our visit to the area fun!

We needed a break from all the chaos and sadness in our city after the killing of George Floyd. This place was so serene and healing for us!! What a beautiful deck perched in the tree tops overlooking Lake Pepin. There is lots of space inside. The kitchen is brimming with extras. The bed is super comfortable. Ping pong downstairs is a treat. Walking the land and up the road was wonderful. Bird feeders attracted multiple humming birds and song birds. TV not available and never missed. Only drawback was we could not stay longer!

This is an amazing property, so private and secluded. We were celebrating my son’s birthday and just for us they opened up all the bars and restaurants (just kidding) We loved sitting on the lovely deck overlooking the water. Homey, quiet, scenic.

Owners were great in giving us suggestions about area attractions. The house is comfortable and nicely decorated. The view is breathtaking. Beautiful area to go for a hike or walk. They don’t have a TV. I loved that. Location is close to Red Wing. Make sure to look up the events at Sheldon theater. They offer music. Many lovely restaurants in Stockholm, and Pepin. Pepin also has a winery. Not to mention the creamery in Nelson. Many artisan stores in Stockholm. Last but not least Smiling pelican bakery is fantastic. So many things to do. Highly recommend it.

Great property and house was nice, clean, modern, and had everything we needed. Beautiful views of the woods, hills, and Lake Pepin. Leaves were just starting to turn, and were fortunate to see a lot of fun birds and wildlife. It was a great setting to relax and also to get a little work done. No surprises, everything was as expected. Would stay here again and would highly recommend.

We loved the privacy and nature. Beautiful property with hummingbirds and flowers! The bed was super-comfy and it's a great location for visiting Maiden Rock, Stockholm and Lake Pepin.

The beauty of the property and location was great. Views of the rolling hills and water were awesome. The architecture of the house was fantastic. The space was so livable. We enjoyed our time thoroughly and will be back.

We truly enjoyed our time surrounded by nature. The hummingbirds kept us entertained and the night sky’s Milky Way view was amazing! Couldn’t get enough of watching the sunset and the lake. Very unique home with awesome windows and a great, comfy bed. Access is all hard surface roads. ( I thought there might be some gravel ). The home is nicely furnished. The downside is the overall cleanliness was sub par. The nightstands were dusty, under the bed was dust bunny heaven, the counter tops not very clean, fridge, freezer dirty too, with lots of red ants around the toaster oven, grass hadn't been mowed for 3 weeks? No Wifi, TV or microwave. Needs the TLC that the house and location deserve.

Nice place, close enough to Lake Pepin to get great views but far enough off the shoreline to not be disturbed by the train traffic. Plenty of birds, hummingbirds, small wildlife, and butterflies. Had a great time!

This was such a relaxing retreat with amazing views! We’d absolutely stay here again. Thank you!
