This home made our vacation wonderful! It had so much space, was beyond welcoming and was stocked to perfection! The location is great to get on the slopes. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub after a long day on the slopes. Everything was great!

Family of six adults. Everything that you need is there. Close to the slopes but private. After a long day of skiing, you appreciate the hot tub. Highly recommend.

We had a great stay and the house was very clean. The house was spacious for 2 families to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked with pans as well as some basic seasonings. The bathrooms were also well stocked with shampoo and conditioner. The beds were very comfortable! The walk to get to the trail entrance for skiing was about .3 miles. Overall would book again!

Plenty of room, well-stocked kitchen, three bathrooms (crucial for a group!), and easy to access skiing (Snowflake lift) and ski back on the 4 o clock run! Heated garage made getting gear on and off easy and comfortable. Bathrooms stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hair dryer! You don’t need to bring much! Instacart made it super easy to get groceries and other needs.

The property is absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained. The proximity to town as well as to a ski run is phenomenal. Being able to ski in/out is simply the best.
We have been coming to Breckenridge ever year and this has got to be the best place we've stayed thus far. Not to mention Jean is an absolutely lovely and communicative host. Can't recommend this place enough and will try to book it again every year if we can.

Property was easy to find and owner had clear instructions for access. Everything in the home was very well done and we had adequate room for all my guests. Kitchen had all the necessary cooking utensils and many basic cooking staples available as well. Grill on the deck was excellent for preparing evening dinners. Hot tub was in great shape and was used multiple times each day by our party after skiing/boarding. The walk to/from the ski slopes was about 5 minutes each way, but the directions were easy to follow and made accessing Breckenridge very easy each morning. With the upstairs living room and a separate downstairs living room, we were able to use the sleeper sofas downstairs and keep the upstairs living space free for gatherings and games. The dining room had plenty of space for our party to sit and enjoy meals, play games and visit. If we return back to Breckenridge, we would gladly choose the Merry Moose again for our family ski/boarding vacation.

Wonderful home, very spacious for our 4 adults and 2 kids, easily could have accommodated more. Short walk to the free shuttle bus was easy enough. All the modern conveniences were there. Hot tub was a nice Colorado touch! Easily recommend for anyone visiting Breckenridge. We would certainly stay here again.

This home is amazing. It's spacious and comfortable. With the two large TV's (that include cable) and the hot tub, you never even need to leave. The kitchen is equipped with every item you could ever need or want. Beds are super comfortable. The location is ideal for skiing or shopping. The home is older but well maintained and updated. The owner extremely kind and very responsive. I highly recommend this home.

If we could give 6 stars, we would! With adequate snow this is a ski-in ski-out location and very convenient (about a 2 block walk) to the bus if not. Kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of room for our family of 7. Nice to have multiple levels affording privacy for all. Amenities such as the boot dryer, snow sled, private garage, ample toiletries, thick bath towels, and private hot tub made this a first class stay for us. Would highly recommend this quiet retreat and we would happily stay again.

Our group of 6 just returned from a week in Breck. We rent ski homes every year from various major resorts. We have staying in amazing properties and this one is ranked at the top. Thoughtfully appointed home, high-end amentities, easy communication with owner. The bedding was cozy and the mattresses comfortable. The location was ideal. Some days we took the shuttle and some we walked out to the trail access. The snowflake lift is a slow mover so we preferred the shuttle to the peak 7 or 8 base areas. I have zero complaints and wouldn’t hesitate to book this wonderful home again! Thank you Jean for a great vacation home and for being a great host.

Wonderful family home
The Merry Moose was a lovely home for a family to stay. The location is excellent. Walkable to town downhill and uphill to the base of the mountain, where we enjoyed the summer epic adventure activities.
The house is as advertised. Very well stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook your own meals including a lot of spices and condiments. (Plenty of mustard and maple syrup!) Very clean and comfortable furniture and beds. Bathrooms all stocked with shampoo, body wash and lotion. Plenty of fun board games to choose from and a great media room for family movie nights!
Nice neighborhood and nice neighbors. We were expecting a larger backyard from what we saw in pictures, but there was a bit of a side yard for our grandson to play. The deck does face a street, but it ended up being a quiet street so wasn't a problem.
Communication with Jean is excellent. We would recommend her home and would enjoy staying here again someday.
We left behind a pair AirPods and Jean was kind enough to mail them to us.
Our only disappointment from our visit was that we never saw a moose in Breckinridge!

Location was perfect! Lots of extras included and everything we needed was there in the house. Jean was very responsive when we had questions. The only cons we found were the main floor getting warm on sunny days (summer stay) and the pipes in the wall on the bottom floor banging at night while running the dishwasher. Otherwise, this stay was fantastic and exactly what we needed! Can’t say enough good things about the nice kitchen and amenities!

The Best of Breck!
My family enjoyed an amazing ski vacation here. The house has everything you need and more to ensure you have a relaxed stay. This was our first time in Breckenridge skiing and there was plenty to offer for novice and advanced skiers. Even with all of the covid restrictions (and there are A LOT here) we were still able to enjoy restaurants in town and on the slopes. You HAVE to have reservations though, so plan ahead. Tip: Reservations on the slopes open at 6:45 in the morning for that day. If you want a place to warm up, you'll need to reserve a table for that too.
This house is perfect for a family. Our family of five had lots of room to spread out. The house is well decorated and beautifully updated with all the creature comforts you can think of. We enjoyed the hot tub and the big TV! It was really convenient to catch the bus up to slopes and ski back on the Four O'Clock run to the back of the house.
The owner was super helpful with restaurant recommendations and detailed instructions for arrival and departure. The property manager was very responsive during our stay.
If we come back to Breck, this will be our first choice for our accommodations. Five stars, all the way!!!

Wonderful mountain home
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home near the slopes. With two separate living areas, the adults and children were able to have their own separate space. The kitchen is fabulous with great cookware and stocked spices, etc. many thanks to Jean and the Chick family for sharing their home with us. Five stars!

Perfect Snowboard Vacation Home
We had everything we could possibly need at the merry moose and definitely want to return! Kitchen has plenty of plates, silverware, cups, mugs and pans etc. there was even a deep fryer and waffle iron! Garage is well equipped for leaving all your wet snow boots and jackets after a long day on the slopes. The shuttle stop at the nordic center is a short <5 minute walk and can take you to peaks 7, 8 or into town. There was enough room in the house for our 7 guests to feel comfortable and enjoy their own space as-needed, and the hot tub was a godsend for our sore muscles. All three bathrooms are modern and clean, the washing machine/dryer are also updated and that continues through to the kitchen appliances. There is a keurig coffee maker, drip mr coffee maker and le crueset french press all readily available. Seriously, this place has everything for you already.

We had a great time skiing, sledding, and sightseeing! This house is well equipped and made a great setting for a family ski vacation! Location is great, close to peak 8, two living areas made it nice to separate the kids and adults. Thanks for the great stay!

Jean, I am sorry to tell you my husband and I were unable to go due to health reasons. The rest of our family did go and certainly expressed everything was great...but trash was never collected and they did have parking problems as they had three vehicles and only space for two. Can you advise details on deposit return.

Great summer stay!
The home was absolutely perfect for our first hiking trip to Breckenridge. Out adult kids from Denver joined us and extended their stay by a few days because they liked it so much. A few of us had to work during part of the stay and the Wifi was great. Kitchen was well appointed. The home had everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed watching the local fox who would come around some evenings. I would highly recommend this property.

Ideal property, COVID-19 cut trip short, Management - top notch
The Merry Moose was even better than we anticipated. The pictures don't do this property justice. It is perfect for a party of 8-10. The kitchen is so well-appointed, the best I've ever seen. The property has thought of everything that a person would need for a very enjoyable stay. We arrived to the Merry Moose on Saturday and shortly after our arrival the resorts announced that they would be closing due to COVID-19. Our hearts were broken given the planning and long-awaited excitement. Although Jean very graciously offered up the residence if a quarantine was enacted, we decided to depart early to make the long trip back. Jean was very empathetic to the situation and gracious in handling the short stay. We will definitely be back - but next time without the global pandemic!

Great House!
We travelled with two grandparents, two parents and two kids. The layout of the house worked perfectly for us! It was easy to ski down to the bus stop in the AM (we took it two stops) and to ski back home on the road behind the house. The owners were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Great overall experience!

The house served or needs very well. we had a group of nine of us and the house was big enough that we all had plenty of room. one down fall was that they said it was a ski in ski out. We did find that to be the case. We wound up driving to the gondola to get on the mountain. Overall though we really liked the place.

Beautiful inside. Perfect for our group of 8. Massive TV downstairs made the SuperBowl amazing to watch. Little hike to & from slopes and bus-stop, but manageable.
