This is a 5000 Sq ft home overlooking a bay of the Sea of Cortez on the Playa Caracol. It is part of a large, high end housing development with gated entrance. Caracol Turistica is one of the homes closest to entrance/exit; therefore, the location is perfect for an easy walk to the marina, several restaurants, a supermarket, and the small rocky beach the house overlooks. The owners are gracious and easy to reach by phone. An A+ rating for them. The view is spectacular facing east. Sun and moon rise are beautiful. It's a beautiful home with great murals on inside walls. The outside veranda was a great place to sit and enjoy the spectacular view.
A couple of drawbacks. We were there during a fairly chilly week (70-73F with evening temps in the 50's). Mini-splits simply are not made to heat that kind of space, so after the morning sun, the house was always chilly. (A suggestion for this, some warm, cozy throws to wrap up in would have been nice.) My guess, when it's hot this house would provide perfect cool areas. The downstairs bedrooms (which we never used) felt a bit claustrophobic, but again, probably perfect for hot weather.
This is a pet friendly home, and the outside more comfortable chairs and couch reflected that. We are dog owners, however, wish those had been better cleaned.
Overall, our stay was lovely, and would definitely recommend Caracol Turistica when the weather in San Carlos is warmer or hot. And thank you Abby for your prompt responses to our calls.

Beautiful Views
This is a beautiful house. The location is great, it's a gated community with a gatekeeper at the entrance. The neighborhood straddles the top of a hill and was very pleasant for taking walks. The house is spacious, and our group of 8 was very comfortable. The house faces the ocean and there's a beach right down the hill from the house. The views from the balcony porch were fabulous and we spent a lot of time there taking in the beauty, perfect for watching sunrises.

Great weekend getaway
This house is great for a large family or group of friends. Perfect location, with view of the bay and San Carlos, short walk to the Marina with great food options and night life. Upstairs space is great for hanging out due to the large open kitchen, dining and living space. The connected balcony is spacious and a relaxing spot in the morning to watch the sunrise, or in the evening after a day at the beach. Host provided plenty of recommendations for the area and an easy check in process. Would definitely return to stay in this house.

Family Trip
This was our first time renting in this area. We have been coming to San Carlos for over 30 years. It was a beautiful home in a lovely location. Only negative thing is the stairs. I would not recommend this home for someone, who has knee problems. Other than that, I will be renting this home again, and telling my friends and family of this gem of a home.

Beautiful vacation spot
This has been our first rental, ever. Not only was the location perfect with breathtaking views, but the house was very clean, organized, and well equipped.
Anthony and Abby have a beautiful home and are very friendly when it comes to communication. The rental process was seamless and very easy.
We loved being so close to the nearby amenities. Truly a very nice and large home to consider as your stay in the gorgeous San Carlos area. Highly recommended!

We took the tour and my 3 yr old daughter spotted the house, she waved, and asked if the house could see her having fun; it was cute. Amenities: the home is fully stocked, secure and gorgeous, making you almost wanting to STAY IN rather than go out. It felt like home and needless to say we loved it!! The location and trip was wonderful. We highly recommend the beauty, comfort and experience of this home in San Carlos. Outstanding house with incredible views!
Very impressed with this house. The views are breathtaking! Had our morning lattes on the balcony watching the sunrise. Bring your binoculars! You can actually see the dolphins swimming in the cove! It is truly a lovely home situated in a private community and sits up on a hill. Everything inside was clean and well organized. We were six people, three adults, a 19 and two 17 year olds. There were plenty of towels for all of us. My husband hooked up his cell phone via Bluetooth to the entertainment system and he had music playing throughout the house. That TV was awesome! We watched a couple of movies at night and had some microwave popcorn. It was nice to relax in the evenings after spending the days at the local beaches. The kitchen has everything you need. We brought two coolers full of food and were able to fit everything in the full size fridge. There is a standalone 5 gallon purified water dispenser. If you run out of water, which we did, just call Luis and he’ll put a new jug in. We also brought lots of dried goods and stored them in the very large pantry. Has lots of shelves! All of the bedrooms have their own personal remote controlled air conditioning units (aka mini splits), there is also one in the dining area. They worked beautifully and were easy to use. The beds were comfortable and the sheets spotless. There are iphone chargers in every bedroom. We had running water the whole time. There were instances when the water pressure was low but it did not take long before it came back. We never lost power and the internet did not skip a beat. Only felt a few mosquitos down at the marina. We felt safe at the house and also in and around San Carlos. We walked to a nice Mexican pottery store nearby. They had good prices and only accepted cash (pesos or dollars) but not credit cards. Further down there is a convenience store and right behind there, a supermarket. Buy tortillas there! We used them for the fish tacos. So good!
We contracted one of the local fishing boats to take us out for 4 hours. We reeled in 10 large ones. Dolphins swim by the boat. The captain’s mate filleted them for us. We froze some and cooked the rest throughout our stay. We visited several beaches but our favorite beach was Algodones. Saw a couple of small stingrays and a puffer fish. The entrance fee is 30 pesos and so worth it!
We will be coming back. Owners are nice and quickly respond to emails. We highly recommend this house. Everything was perfect.

Lovely Views, Comfortable Large Home
We enjoyed our stay and time in San Carlos very much. The sunsets and sunrises are stunning from the balcony! The kitchen is well equipped and the house is very roomy and has a “friendly” feel. The owners were quick to respond to a couple inquiries, and having a nearby maintenance person is very reassuring.

Amazing views and house
This was our first visit to San Carlos and we wanted a special place to stay. The Del Cielo was the perfect choice and exceeded our expectations. The house was very comfortable, clean, quiet and decorated beautifully. The view from the living room was amazing. The house is conveniently located close to a new grocery store, restaurants, beach and pools. I would highly recommend staying at this location and if we return to San Carlos, we will be looking into renting this house again.
The plus side of the stay was a binder that Anthony and Abby had put together with recommended restaurants, pools, beaches, etc. We utilized this book several times during our stay. It was almost as if they were our personal tour guide. It was well thought out and very helpful.

In the nice, caracol peninsula neighborhood. Beautiful view from upstairs. LOTS of up and down walking and steps to get into and out of home. Most everything you will need is provided- loved little things like boxes of tissues and paper towel and dish soap. Nice linens and towels, although microfiber sheets are not for me. The solar lights on outdoor stairs made it bright in the master bedroom, so I papered and taped them to cover. If you like to cook, bring your own knife set. The carport was small and a bit difficult with the iron gates needing to be opened and closed and backing into the narrow exit street was a bit of a nail biter. Near the marina restaurants and a rocky/pebbly beach. Tasteful, well-equipped and well maintained home.

Breathtaking Views.
We stayed at Del Cielo Dec 27-30, 2017. Beautiful home, with breathtaking views, we enjoyed while drinking our morning coffee and sunrise. Will definitely stay again. Had no complaints, it was easy to get in and even asked for a later check out, with no problem.
