Had a wonderful time staying here and visiting family in the area. The house was great and had everything you could possibly need. The host was great and responded quickly to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!

We'll completely enjoyed our stay. The house is big, comfortable and clean. It's very well equipped from the kitchen to the outdoor BBQ and fire pit. Barton is a lovely location for hiking, paddling, swimming and enjoying all that this beautiful area of. the NEK has to offer. The hosts are wonderful.

We had a wonderful and relaxing week with our family and our puppy. The house was clean, cozy and very suitable for our stay! The property was amazing and the kids loved the pond for swimming and kayaking.

Our third time here, we always leave with great reluctance. On the way home we stopped for breakfast at the tiny Busy Bee diner in Glover and had an excellent meal and good conversation with the owners and other customers. Parsons Dinner House is also excellent. Thanks for your hospitality, Gail.

All I can say is wow! Such a great property! The house was fantastic, with plenty of space for both the adults and children! We enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen that was well kept and fully stocked with anything you could need to cook with! I loved waking up and sitting outside drinking coffee, reading, and seeing many deer and what may have been a family of woodchucks! The pond was so much fun as well l and we spent so much time paddling around in our kayaks and the paddle boat! Looking forward to returning again soon!

We were very pleased with the accommodation's. It is very well taken care of and clean. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evening. It was nice and quiet a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery . I would recommend it to anyone.

We were looking for a place for a long weekend getaway for some family. This home was perfect for the little kids and the grown ups! And the jacuzzi tub was so relaxing. The kitchen/living/dining area is huge and perfect for a large group to all spend time together without feeling crowded! Definitely will stay here again...we're already contemplating dates for the summer.

House was equipped with everything we needed. Didn't get to spend time inside with our grandkids because of the State COVID rules, but that gave us an opportunity to walk around with them outside to explore the fields, pond and stream on the scenic property. My wife and I had the cozy and peaceful house all to ourselves to celebrate our Anniversary. It will be a happy memory.

We had a great time in this space. The kitchen, in particular, was wonderful. We enjoyed spending time cooking. There was literally everything you could need to use to make wonderful meals. The home was really roomy and the Views we wonderful.

It was beautiful. Got to watch deer every morning while having breakfast. It was only 15 minutes from where we needed to be so it was perfect. Plenty of comfortable beds,towels,utensils and nicely decorated.(fall/Halloween) We would stay here again in a heart beat especially if snowfalls to slide down the hill.

He also was happy with the height of the shower heads as we he often needs to duck in the shower to fit under the shower heads and didn't in either shower here. (If you're tall you appreciate these things)We came as the seasons were turning so got the best of both worlds. We had a blast swimming and boating in the pond and also enjoyed making fires in the fire pit and watching the leaves change color. The property and area are so tranquil and relaxing. The property is very large and my kids loved running up and down the hills, playing football and soccer and climbing the haystack in the barn. We enjoyed our day in St. Jamesburg and at Lake Willoughby as well. Highly recommend.

This was exactly what we were looking for: a quiet, out of the way place to have as home base. We went hiking, biking and sightseeing around the area, but also stayed on property to play in the boats, walk, cookout, and enjoy the fire pit. The jacuzzi tub was an awesome extra. We didn’t turn on the tv once! The place is very comfortable, clean, and welcoming.

What can I say? Let's start with the host - Such an amazing host! Gail was responsive to every question prior to booking, after booking and during our stay. She always ensured our questions were answered and even had a welcome note for my guests when we checked in. Gail was very responsive when we had a question regarding the grill and gas and even offered to replace it for us. Amazing host! Thanks a lot Gail! Now about the property - - This is such an amazing property! The description does not do much justice and needs to be updated to reflect everything thats available - - First of all, the house was kept very clean and had everything we needed - stocked and ready - plenty of towels, bedsheets, cooking utensils, and everything you would need to have a great vacation. - The board games were a great additon. The fire pit was stocked with wood, even though we did not use it since we went in the summer. - The entire location is so beautiful and you experience full peace and oneness with nature - We saw beautiful deer just outside our house and it was amazing - the pond is so great and our group had so much fun swimming in the pond and canoeing and kayaking in the water. - The privacy factor is the best! and we had so much fun relaxing at this amazing vacation home. We are so excited to be back here in Winter and enjoy the beauty of this lovely place. Thanks again for hosting us Gail. :)

A group of 5 women in our 30s booked this spot for a 4th of July getaway and it could not have been a better spot! We floated around in the pond daily, enjoyed nightly dinners from the BBQ (extra delicious using fresh herbs from the property!) and relaxed on the couches at night. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfy. Kitchen is equipped with every tool you might need and the large dining table was perfect for all of us. The house was spotless and lots of towels and extra linens provided — definitely appreciated because not all places we’ve stayed provided this. We loved the seclusion of this house while also being a couple minute drive from the grocery store and even a farm stand down the road. Gail was very responsive whenever we needed anything. Overall great stay and we’d love to see it in the winter too! Thank you!

We had a wonderful time exploring the surrounding area/trails on our cross-country skis. The home was perfect for our group of 10 and we loved being able to ski out the front door, but also being close to Craftsbury outdoor center. The kitchen was very well-stocked for all our home-cooked meals, and we enjoyed ourselves over the long weekend.

House was beautiful, had everything we needed and MORE! Nice quiet area, yet close to the interstate! Jetted tub was a plus and the dogs even had a great time with all that yard to run in! Thank you Gail!

We recently were here for our second Columbus Day Weekend visiting family for birthday celebrations. The house was wonderful, the weather great, and the foliage beautiful. We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Great location and outdoor space. It's not shown in the property listing pictures, but there is an awesome backyard space with a fire pit that we took advantage of to enjoy and outdoor dinner and star gazing. It was our favorite part of the rental. The house itself is older and has some slight renovations here and there (also, bed configurations shown in the property photos have since changed). Kitchen and dining room are a great place to gather the full group around (we had 14 people). Cons: bedrooms are small and mattresses are outdated. Very close by Parker Pies and the local supermarket, where were bonuses!

We completely enjoyed this comfortable and well kept country home in an exceptionally peaceful location. There were deer in the meadow every morning and evening. A great base for the many activities the NEK has to offer like hiking and paddling.
