Cathy's communication was outstanding from the beginning. She gave me all the information I needed to get checked in and enjoy my stay and promptly answered any other questions I had before and during my stay.
The condo is a couple hundred yards to the beach, but there is a nice, private boardwalk that takes you straight there. It's convenient to several restaurants and shops and even within walking distance to a few, including Island Rainbow (ice cream & snow cones), Pirates Pizza & Wings, and Dauphin Island Trading (souvenirs and small necessities) that are directly across the street.
Beach items such as a canopy, chairs, a sand wagon, kids' floatation devices, beach towels, and beach toys were provided in the condo which was really nice. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for the 8 people in our group for sleeping and being comfortable while we were relaxing in the condo. The balcony is big and well-furnished and we enjoyed spending a good amount of time there. My group had 3 adults and 5 children - one child slept in a large bed with an adult and the other children slept in the bunk room (2 bunks for a total of 4 twin beds) and it worked perfectly for us!
We really enjoyed our vacation and I would recommend this place to anyone with a similar size/style group of people. Much thanks to Cathy!

I really liked the quietness of Dalpin Island. The place I stayed was really nice. The only thing was one of the cookers we were going to use had dried eggs in it and the coffee machine had coffee grounds left in it. The host of the property was an absolute blessing. Overall I’d stay again…I would just hope that the housekeeping did a better job!

We really enjoyed our stay here with our 4 yr old and 18 mo old. The wagon, toys, and chairs were clutch, as was being on the water, albeit it is a decent walk to the beach given wide sand dunes. Our condo was missed by the cleaner, but the owner was great in terms of arranging cleaning shortly after arrival and making the situation right. Would stay here again.

Our first time at Dauphin Island. Brought my wife, son, daughter in law, and 3 grandkids for a family vacation. Very relaxing, beach was very clean and nice, pools, hot tub, steam room, and condo was very clean. We highly recommend this.

The condo was perfect! It had lots of beach toys for the kids and anything you may need to stay in and do some cooking. The balcony was spacious with several seating options. Couldn't have been better!

We loved everything about this rental and its owner. Everything was clean and in great condition. Beds were comfy. The deck furniture was wonderful - our family of 8 ate outside at the large table almost every meal. There was plenty of room for us to spread out in the living room. Both bathrooms were large with closed off toilet rooms - a nice feature when you have a large group. Th condo was loaded with everything we needed - beach towels, sand blankets, beach bags, a cart, boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, toys, etc. The kitchen was also loaded - blender, crockpots, air fryer, muffin pans, a griddle, coffee pots, tools for grilling or for kebobs and fish, pitchers to make tea or lemonade, etc. The owner was friendly and very responsive. She gave great recommendations for where to put our kayaks in the water, etc. We were thoroughly pleased with every part of our trip and will certainly look no further and happily rent this unit again the next time we are in Dauphin Island.

This was our first visit to the property. Cathy is a first-rate host and the unit is nice and very well stocked. Among other kindnesses, she graciously allowed us some flexibility with check in/out times since other renters were not coming or going the same days.
One of my favorite things about this unit is the extra-spacious balcony and its furnishings. There are two seating groups on either end, and a table set-up in the middle and still there was plenty of open space.
We enjoyed the beach and both pools. The covered parking option was a plus, and there were plenty of luggage carts. We liked the complex and would go back!

This location is very unique. The sand bars around the island keep the waves small enough for the kids to play safely. There are lots of fish to swim with and plenty of crab fishing at night.

The condo was beautiful, roomy and great place for a family vacation. We spent lots of time on the large deck with lots of seating. We will definitely schedule our next trip here.

We had a wonderful stay at this condo! It was super clean and nice. We had 7 people in our group and there was PLENTY of room to spread out. Convenient location right on the beach (short walk on the boardwalk) close to restaurants and snack places. Cathy was great with info and procedures and everything went smooth. Definitely recommend!

it has been three years since we had a family vacation. i have been taking the wife and kids to the gulf coast for over 20 years now. the kids love the island, its fun, relaxing, and quite, plenty to eat, and plenty of things to do. its a awesome condo, made some memories. cannot wait to come back.

This condo exceeded our expectations! It was a pleasure to sit out on the balcony each morning (and throughout the day!), enjoying the serenity and the ocean view. Having the ocean and two pools (and a sauna, steam room, hot tub, workout room, and ping pong table!) at our fingertips was such a gift, and we enjoyed every minute! Other fun things included trying out restaurants and going to souvenir shops (just across the road), taking the kids to the playground and the beach on the other end of the island, and visiting Fort Gaines. Lighthouse Bakery was a hidden gem that we're also glad to have found. As for the condo itself, it was clean and well stocked with plenty of beach and pool toys, etc. The only improvement we could think of would be a bit more lighting in the living room. We're all hopeful we can stay here again!

The unit is beautiful and well maintained. Everything we needed was already there (plus more)! Our teenagers enjoyed the crab nets and towels. My husband and I enjoyed the spices available for grilling, the eas of checking-in, the super fast communication with Mrs. Cathy throughout our entire stay, and the gorgeous view from the balcony. The beds were incredibly soft, too! Would definitely recommend.

Clean, comfortable, great view of the Gulf. We took advantage of an excellent suggestion by the property owner and had groceries and rental bikes delivered. We would definitely consider this property again for future Dauphin Island visits.

This was our 2nd stay in this unit and we will definitely be back! The condo is so well equipped and clean. The views from the balcony cannot be beat! Cathy was extremely accommodating in helping us with our stay. A quick stop at the grocery store on the way in and we were set! What a beautiful place on the beautiful Dauphin Island beach!

We had a fantastic time. This condo was incredibly well stocked. The kitchen had every piece of cookware we needed (and more), there were umbrellas, chairs, toys, towels, etc for the beach. They had board games and books for the kids. When we come again, we will pack half of what we did. The couple of minor issues we had were quickly resolved by the owner. I cannot recommend this place enough!

We loved our stay at the condo. It was spacious and had an amazing view. The beach isn’t crowded and they don’t close it at a specific time. So, we saw lots of families enjoying crab hunting together at night. We ourselves enjoyed evenings on the beach! There are restaurants right across the street for pizza or just to sit on their deck for ice cream. We were very comfortable!

Me and my family love this Condo. Plenty of room, very clean and right by the beach. They also keep a lot of extras that most places don’t… beach buggy, tent, umbrella, toys, towels and more. We used many of these and were thankful they were there! We definitely will be staying here again.

Good stay but a few hiccups
We arrived from our 9hr journey at 4:30 and the lady was still cleaning the unit. She was very nice but we were ready to unwind after a long drive with a toddler. The unit was very nice! We could not get the tv in the living room to work, which really would’ve been helpful in entertaining kids. Also, the boardwalk to the beach was under construction (during the busiest time of the year) so we had a very long walk to the beach. It was a very nice view and we overall enjoyed our stay.

Lovely condo.
Very nice condo and property. There was a bit of cleaning that was missed by housekeeping, but appeared to be an oversight which I did discuss with the owners; they also offered to have housekeeping come back, which we declined. They did address the oversights with housekeeping. The boardwalk was unavailable at the time of our visit, which was a very inconvenient. I did see materials in place to extend the boardwalk over the dunes, which will be very nice. I imagine it could possibly completed at the time of this review. The owners, Cathy and Doug, were very nice to deal with. They also gave us a small refund for our inconvenience, which was unexpected and appreciated.
I recommend staying in this unit. We did enjoy our stay.
