Excellent! Clean, well supplied! Beautiful location. Not a single negative!

Property needed to be clean better, needed more outside lights, to dark and uneven rock when entering walkway. Towels on master bedroom were folded but still wet. Light hanging from ceiling fan. Master bathroom sink leaking. Downstairs has a odor.

Place was in a great location. Dishwasher was not working but they did give us a credit. Still a pain to have to wash dishes for a party of 9 every day. Should offer more towels- only one per guest and we were there for 6 days…

This cabin was a comfortable home for my family, from grandparents who enjoyed the rocking chairs and mountain views, to a nine-year-old who had a great time challenging everyone to Air Hockey matches!

Cozy place with plenty of room for extended family. Great kitchen with everything needed to make any meal. Loved the decor and little touches everywhere. Comfortable beds and rooms, but mostly enjoyed the beautiful views of Grandfather from all the lovely rocking chairs on the wraparound porch. We will definitely book again!

We went up here to celebrate a friend's 25th birthday and it was a gorgeous and welcoming home.

More than pleased! The pictures on the website do not do it justice!! Cabin 230 is, to put it simple, spectacular! The views are incredible, the quiet was splendid, and the attractions in such close proximity helped out a lot!! Especially the Mining company less than five minutes away who were more than helpful and informative!! Laurel Creek Falls was fun and incredibly cold! Thank you for allowing me to give my family an educational, fun, fantastic experience!! Already looking forward for our next trip!

The house was lovely and very well-equipped. Outstanding view of Grandfather Mountain! We were in the high country for a quick weekend Christmas tree trip, and the house was very convenient to many options for that. Hope to return for a longer stay in the future!

Carpets and bed coverings were dirty and in need of cleaning.

I stayed here with my family for a short trip to the mountains. Overall the cabin was a decent place, close to all tourist spots, great view from back porch. It had a surprising amount of street noise and no central AC which was surprising. Teenagers loved the air hockey and there was room for everyone.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The two boys, 10 & 7, really enjoyed the air hockey game while the adults enjoyed the view of Grandfather Mountain. I highly recommend!!

This was a beautiful home and the view was stunning! The only negative thing to say is that it's advertised as having a/c, but when we arrived we couldn't find any...we did finally find 4 or 5 a/c units in the closets NOT installed, so we had to install it ourselves. We did let the rental co. know and they did apologize, but offered no discount for having to install a unit ourselves. Other than that the home was very nice and we had a great stay!

A great long weekend to spend time with family after 10 years. The home was perfect with 3 living spaces, a beautiful yard and close proximity to food, tourist spots and the view made the weekend spectacular.

Grandfather Sights property is nearly perfect. The view from the back porch is breathtaking. We really enjoyed staying here. The cabin is great for large families with four bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. It was clean and well appointed and loved the air hockey and foosball tables. There are also many board games in case you are stuck inside.There were just a couple of things that could make this property almost perfect. None of these were in any way a deal breaker as I would very happily book this property again.1. The oven did not work very well. We tried to cook frozen pizzas in the oven and it took over twice as long to cook as it should have. The bottom heating element might not work. The cooktop was fine.2. The bed in the upstairs bedroom was very uncomfortable. I have a bad back anyways, so YMMV. Those were the two main things. Others have mentioned the road noise. While there is definitely some noise from the highway, we did not find it to be terrible. Also, please be aware that there is construction of another house just below this one. It shouldn't take away from the spectacular view of Grandfather Mountain, but I imagine it could get noisy once the framing begins.I don't want to spend too much time talking about the negatives because there are so many positives about this cabin. Don't let any of the above scare you away. I highly recommend Grandfather Sights Cabin for a nice getaway!

We stayed at Grandfather Sights with extended family and had an awesome trip and will definitely be booking another stay in the future. The place was super clean and very well equipped. We were lucky to have a neighbor that allowed us to use their extra spot but it was a bit stressful to start our vacation thinking one of the cars could be towed. Second, the oven didn't work. Not a huge deal as the microwave worked just fine for us. Don't see how you could be disappointed booking this place. Clean, comfy, and has awesome views.

We had a great vacation with this house - more than enough room for our family of 4, room for another family too. We are already thinking of booking again with friends!

Overall really good.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The only thing that wasn’t great was the sofa bed upstairs. The bed in it is broken and really unusable, and we had planned on using it. So that threw a little quirk into our sleeping arrangements. Other than that everything else was totally fine.

We stayed in this cabin during a recent ski getaway. It was clean, quaint, and had a spectacular views of Grandfather Mtn. It was everything we expected based upon the description. We will be back again. Thanks!

So much to compliment regarding this cabin. Location worked well for our skiing plans. Cabin was overall clean and views were spectacular. The air hockey and foosball were huge hits. One thing I would point out is if you're planning to bake anything, the oven is dated and didn't cook efficiently, so plan extra cook time. Otherwise, would gladly recommend this cabin, and if the opportunity posed itself again, we'd be happy to stay again.

I loved the cabin and mountain view. I would have given a 5 star rating but was disappointed in the kitchen. The appliances are outdated. The stove was horrible and needs replaced badly. The kitchen needs stocked with essentials. The broom left for us was broken and he had to sweep the floors on our hands and knees. But with all that said, it was still a great cabin.

Great location close to the action. Beautiful views of grandfather mountain. The road noise others complain about was not a bother to us. Make sure to bring any kitchen supplies you might need otherwise there is a dollar general .5 miles away. The kitchen oven prolly needs replaced as it only heats the top rack and the grill outside needs a good cleaning to avoid another grease fire. The air hockey table was a hit.
