Spacious beachfront house!

Our family has been having some difficult times and we headed to Folly to relax and refresh. We were so happy with our stay with room to spare and the ocean right outside us. We just loved this house and we hope to return!

House was beautiful and the view. Just incredible. It’s so easy to get in touch with Kate, and her recommendations for places to eat were right on. Enjoyed the stay in the house very much.

Great home right on Folly Beach and just a 3 block easy walk to the downtown restaurants and shops. Plenty of bedrooms for everybody and a large kitchen and family room for entertaining and family activities. And, of course, the beach is right out the back door. Highly recommend this home for your beach vacation

The owner Kate was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Responded to questions or concerns almost immediately. Was in contact with us from start to the finish, wishing us safe travels home. Very accommodating. The oceanfront home in Folly Beach was in an excellent, convenient location. Nice little area. Stores, food, and bars nearby. Painless 20 minute or so ride into downtown Charleston. The house configuration was great. Worked out well. Comfortable beds. Decently stocked with the things you may need. Like any beach house, showing some signs of wear and tear typical of a beachfront rental property. Could maybe use a little spiffing up and some furniture updating (especially outside)? But nothing that is going to effect your stay there. It would be nice if the guests that stayed there didn't lazily make a mess of some of the drawers / storage. We tried to straighten them up as we went along. But again, great spacious, comfortable home base for your next group trip to the Charleston area.

I booked this beautiful home on the beach for my sons wedding in Charleston. It was very specious and the view of the ocean is incredible! Our host went above and beyond for us!!!!! We can’t wait to come back .

Amazing location on the beach— beautiful views—we had a wonderful family week at this house. Lots of space —the decks were great although the middle/ main deck could use another set of furniture for seating. We had lots of appliances and dishes to make meals— loved having the use of 2 refrigerators and separate wine cooler and ice maker. Some of the bathroom spaces are a bit dated and worn but overall a beautiful place that we would return to again! Be sure to bring your own beach chairs and tents though — Perfect beach spot -loved how close we were to the ocean!

Beautiful house. Amazing location. Kitchen and master bath are showing heavy wear. Some electrical issues with the lights.

The house is beautiful and very well-appointed with glasses, dishes and silverware, two refrigerators and two dishwashers. Plenty of seating for large group at table and in living room. Every bedroom has its own bathroom. Walking distance to Bert’s, the pier and Center Street. Highly recommended.

I’ve rented many houses on Folly for my yoga retreats and this was by far my favorite. The location is perfect, we surfed everyday right front our beach, it is close to the downtown area and quiet. We can’t wait to return again.

Great house

This was our 3rd stay at this beautiful house. Love the location, the porches and the roof top deck has fantastic views. Perfect set up with each bedrooms/bathroom, and large kitchen, two fridges and dishwashers. Will be booking again for next summer.

This is a great house for a family vacation. Comfortable in every way! We loved staying there and plan to book it again.

We had a blast. This property had plenty of room for my four kids a hunt for each of them to bring a few friends. My best friend also was able to come and spend two days. This was also very close to downtown so everyone could walk down there when they wanted. My kids are all enough to be able to walk by themselves and went down many days to either go to the bars, out for coffee or breakfast in the morning and to go shopping during the day. We had a great time and would stay again.

We have stayed at this home for the past 4 years for a week in the summer. It’s our happy place. The location is amazing and the views from the balconies are breathtaking. It is the perfect amount of space for our extended family of 10. It is a quick 5 minute walk to Bert’s, all of the restaurants and the pier. Would recommend this to anyone! Kate is so great to work with too.

This was the second year my friends and I have enjoyed the last week of January in this beautiful house at Folly Beach…and we’ve already made plans for 2024! I cannot say enough about the host, Kate. If needed, she immediately responds and makes your visit so pleasant. Amazing!

This was the perfect house for a large family with multiple age children. My husband and I stayed in the room with twin beds and gave each of our children a room with their family. The large kitchen was perfect. In a week's time, we only ate one meal out. We will definitely visit again!

My family and I have vacationed at Folly Beach for several years. This really was the best house we have stayed at. Every bedroom has a bathroom, it was clean, and the few issues we had were addressed asap. The family rooms, kitchen, and dining room were all good size for our group. It was great to deal with someone who really did care about us having a good time! We created many beautiful memories in this house!

We were a group of 7 Seniors-cousins and spouses for a reunion. The home is so spacious and very beautifully appointed. We really enjoyed the fact that every bedroom has its own private bath. Kate was a gracious hostess. Lots of parking under the house. In easy walking distance to “downtown” Folly and great restaurants! Kitchen very well equipped. Do not hesitate to stay at this lovely home.

Each year we try to get together with family ranging from infant all the way to grandparents. This is our second time staying in folly as a group and we loved the layout of this house, the access to elevator, and location close to the center of town. We spent time bonding as a family of many generations by playing games provided by the owner, and cooking family meals with a kitchen well equipped for feeding large crowds. The house layout was perfect for us and we loved our time this week! Thank you!

House has a larger feel than what is shown in the photos. Views of the ocean & pier from the porches & rooftop deck are spectacular. Location is an easy walk to restaurants and easy drive to the grocery store. We thoroughly enjoyed this house even though we were in Charleston for a family funeral.

Great house! 100 feet to the beach. Beautiful view. Plenty of room to spread out. Less than 3 block walk to downtown area and all the shops and restaurants. Highly recommend this property.

The balconies were perfect for watching ocean waves, people on the beach, and best of all for drone flying. Enjoyed our morning coffee and tea on the balcony. Walking distance to folly businesses. Room for all to be together or time alone.

AMAZING!!!! We were in Charleston for our daughter's wedding and this property on the beach did not disappoint. The elevator was a huge benefit to our aging family members, the well stocked kitchen including starter detergent, paper towels, coffee filters and kitchen hand towels were a pleasant surprise. The house was clean and well organized. Kate was responsive and helpful with questions. A perfect house for a large family or group seeking beautiful sunrises and the comforts of home. You will not be disappointed.

Fun beach house in a fantastic location. Plenty of space for our large group to play and stay! Had everything we needed and more. The ocean views were our favorite feature of the home!! The owner was very responsive and thoughtful. We recommend this property to large groups looking for a laidback beach getaway.

Me and my friends stayed at this house for a long weekend. Hurricane was passing when we arrived. We had to stay indoors the first day. The house had everything for a rainy day: board games, puzzles, dvds, smart tv with all the main streaming services. It was perfect. The house is well equipped and it’s ready for large groups. It has two refrigerators, ice maker, two coffee makers and a wine fridge. Beds are comfortable and linens complement the decoration nicely. The house was very clean. The bonus was the elevator, we used it for bringing groceries to the kitchen. The house is well located a 10 minute walk to nearest convenience store. It has plenty of parking. We read a previous review indicating to wear shoes when going to the beach, THANK YOU! That was the best tip. I will book this property again in a heartbeat. Kate was great to work with, very responsive.

Our experience with renting this mansion ON the beach, began as we were researching a place to stay from October 30 - November 6 while attending my youngest daughters wedding in Charleston. I found several houses of interest that had the capacity for my 90-year old mother, my daughter and her family, and me. I reached out to the host, Kate and got a very kind and detailed (and in retrospect HONEST) response to my questions. Most of the questions revolved around the home being well suited to an elderly mom (she is 90 but a spry 90). In the end, we selected this one because the pictures were great, it had the capacity, it was ON THE BEACH, and maybe the biggest selling point for us: the home is equipped with an elevator that goes from garage to all floors above. On arrival check-in could not have been easier... in fact we received an email at 11:00 the morning of check in telling us the house was already cleaned and ready if we wanted to arrive EARLY! So our week stay was way too short. We all watched sunrises every morning. My family spent a week smiling. The house is beautiful beyond words and I wish I could share the pictures that made a week there so special. I had several text conversations with the host during our stay and they could not have been more gracious and responsive. They never intruded into our stay and encouraged us to relax, have fun, and enjoy the wedding... all of which we did. One downside, if you plan on watching TV... we never got any of the TV's to work, which was only a TINY problem. It may have been very solvable but I didn't have that much interest in making them work... except during the World Series - which my grandson, son-in-law and I, rooting for the Phillies, missed. Looking back on it, that may actually be a positive! A word of advice... no matter what house you rent on the beach: The Sand Dunes have a VERY NASTY plant called Sand Spurs that drop very sharp, spiked seed pods all over the sand. As you walk the trail from the house to the beach and pass over the dunes, the sand spurs will get on clothing, shoes, and of course SKIN. WEAR SHOES and STAY ON THE TRAILS. A) Because walking off trail on the sand dunes is destructive and B) You WILL NOT forget your shoes twice. Sand Spurs ARE NOT your friends. So in all... LOVELY hosts make the experience 100% top drawer. The AMAZING, well appointed, well furnished, comfortable house, makes the Stay an UNFORGETTABLE memory. No other choice would've been better!

This house is beautiful however the host will scam you! She charged our party a large amount post our stay for a broken TV that we had nothing to do with breaking. She charged my credit card without my authorization after our stay. When I questioned her about it she claimed we broke the TV. I had communication with her during our stay about the TV not working. She never let me know that she was going to charge us for breaking it, the charge just appeared on my credit card. And when I questioned her about it she quit communicating with me. So sad that she is that desperate that she has to charge honest guests for her mis fortunes...either way she can not be trusted please don't be mislead and be in the same situation I am in

We stay each year at a different house on Folly but this was one of our faves! Great house, great location, great host!!

We had a family vacation at this property with six adults and four children. Its location is fantastic, just a short walk to the Pier and Center Street. The roomy accommodations were significantly better than then a typical waterfront rental in terms of decor, roominess and value. Our initial concerns about having a vacation with 10 people in a home rental were quickly alleviated upon the initial walk-thru...there was plenty of living and sleeping areas for all. The elevator was a major plus when we were bringing up luggage and supplies to the proper location. The owner was a delight to work with. She quickly answered all questions that we may have had. Don't miss out on the opportunity to stay at this fabulous ocean front beach house!
