Esme is just so lovely! She made nice personal touches that showed she really cares about her guest's experience.The bed is honestly the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The shower is spacious and powerful. Very clean. And the location could NOT be bettered!

A very special place to stay indeed, and so near to the main street. Some unexpected goodies in the room made us feel especially welcome. Very caring host, with attention to detail.

Esme was a charming and friendly host, with plenty of suggestions for local amenities and her own recommendations. It was in a superb location, just 5-10 mins walk from the centre of Winchester and the attractions. The room was lovely, and very well appointed - as well as the comfy bed there was a toaster, coffee machine, kettle and supplies for making hot drinks plus a fridge with milk for tea/coffee and cereal and room to store supplies if you want to make yourself breakfast/lunch etc. Plates, cups, glasses and cutlery all provided in a beautiful picnic basket. Treats too - chocolate in the fridge, and also shortbread and a decanter with some port...such a lovely touch 😊 The shower was fab, and again eveything was provided just in case you forget your shower gel or shampoo! I would definitely recommend Esme's and we will be back for future visits!!

The location of the property was perfect - right in the middle of town so just a couple of minutes walk from all of the highlights / restaurants etc. However, it was also very quiet and peaceful.

Great location, easy walk into town to see sights. Esme is very friendly and cares about her guests stay. Everything needed in the room, milk and biscuits as well as some port were waiting for us.

It is a small street, quite congested with very limited parking. We were provided a map and parking permit for adjacent streets. I left the car on Park Street for two days, upon return it was absolutely covered in bird poop, so be warned. We had several cases for our next destinations, the room is a bit small for the extra bags, although Esme did offer for us to leave them in the hallway.

Great location a short walk from the centre of Winchester. The room was also great, well equipped, and very clean. Esme herself was also very helpful and welcoming.

Location brilliant, literally a stones throw away from the city centre. I cant rate this accommodation highly enough. Esme was lovely, friendly and welcoming. The attention to detail in the room was outstanding, so many thoughtful touches that were completely unexpected and very much appreciated. A wonderful weekend made all the better for her thoughtfulness - thank you so much

Great location near cafes, restaurants, shops and Winchester Cathedral. Appreciated fresh milk, water and goodies in the fridge and Esme's genuine hospitality. We were lucky to get a parking spot right outside.

Charming ground floor flat, located only 100 yards from the main shopping centre. Esme was on hand to greet us. She's a very friendly lady and has created a beautiful place to stay. The inclusion of chocolates in the fridge, bottles of milk, plentiful biscuits and complementary port were all very well received. The provision of a parking voucher for our stay meant we could park very close to the flat.

Breakfast is not included but it is a short walk to the town where there are plenty of places to have a very nice breakfast.

No breakfast was offered but there were biscuits, tea and coffee making facilities + cafes galore a short walk outside. The location was very central and excellent. The bed and bedding was very comfortable The helpfulness and charm of Esme. Although I didn't use all the amenities eg toaster, coffee maker etc -everything seemed to be available

I would have preferred a bath not a shower . Also wall -to- wall carpeting in the bedroom or polished wooden floors to make it feel more comfortable - would probably have been most appreciated in winter!

Esme was incredibly welcoming and made us feel very at home. It was an absolute joy to meet her. The room was decorated beautifully, to a high standard, the little touches made all the difference! Located literally a stones throw away from the beautiful centre of Winchester, on a tucked away quiet street, we slept soundly in the extremely comfortable bed. Everything was just perfect!

Location was perfect for us - right at the heart of everything

Couldn't fault anything. Esme couldn't do enough for us!

Esme’s house is in a great location, very close to the centre of Winchester and during our 4 nights there, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. There are lots of options within a few minutes’ walk for breakfast and Winchester has a good range of cafes, restaurants and pubs to choose from. Parking in Winchester is limited, but the parking permit was a godsend and we were able to park a short walk away from Esme’s in a neighbouring street. Esme is very welcoming and looked after us well, replenishing the in-room supplies regularly. The room was comfortable and clean and the wifi worked well.

Although there are facilities for eating in the room (crockery, cutlery, toaster, as well as a kettle and coffee machine), the room isn’t really geared up for that and it’s easier to go out to eat.
