Mooie en ruime kamer. Goede parkeergelegenheid. Goed eten en goed ontbijt. Hotel ligt direct aan de snelweg.
185 euro voor 1 nacht, exclusief eten, is stevig aan de prijs.

Haar in het ontbijt, uiteraard aangegeven bij personeel, zelfs de haar laten zien, maar geen reductie op het ontbijt terwijl de zin wel weg was om te kunnen genieten van het eten.

Really an excellent hotel and close to a motorway connection. Restaurant dinner was first class
Check in staff rather brutal. Also didn't like having a $500 deposit held against my credit card for two rooms which being over the Xmas period meant that it took a week to get cleared again - this is a ridiculous amount to hold for breakfasts...

Staying at Van der Valk Hotel in Hengelo is always a pleasure. Service is friendly and helpful, rooms are roomy and cosy, and they have very nice views.
I usually enjoy a dinner at the restaurant, I really value their service and the soothing views from my room.
Well done, Van der Valk management and service!

Overvolle ontbijtzaal met weinig personeel. Gedateerde gangen, met te veel onpraktische deuren.

The room was nice and big, and the restaurant had very nice food.
The room was far away from the entrance /restaurant and the bar..... It should be indicated in the description that the room is so far! The cost for the pet is 17.50 euros (quite expensive for pet price) and they don't even have a bowl for water in the room for it. And even if you are allowed to bring your pet with that cost in the accommodation, you are not allowed to eat in the restaurant with it. You can eat from the restaurant breakfast or dinner only in the bar or lounge area. Also the air-conditioning system of the room was more like a fan rather than anything else....

Great breakfast, very big and clean rooms. Friendly staff, easy checking, lots of parking space and in general a very good experience when in Hengelo. Would definitely recommend it to others travelling there.
No iron or iron board in the rooms. When asked for it, the receptionist said we could pick one up at the reception. I would have thought it to be resaonsble to expect a staffmember should bring the items to the room.

Perfect breakfast, good location. The City center is quite far, but the industrial area is close (if you have the job there).
It is good to stay there.
The marketing of the wellness part is poor. If we knew it before, we would have swimming dress.
