The cabin has a lot of high-end touches but needs a touch-up. One couch has a hole in it and needs replacing, the kitchen is greatly under stocked on pots, pans, storage containers and cooking utensils (good ones). We own a beach rental property and understand how the property is depleted as the season progresses, so I would suggest the owners visit mid-season and replenish the stock. Also, it snowed and when we called the number given for property management to ask about having the road scraped, no one knew who to contact to get this done. We received no answer back from them as promised either. Also, the hot tub is not hot enough; and the soaker tub inside—the hot water heater will not fill it even one- third full. Cabin has a great view and location is excellent in that it is centrally located to many ski areas and restaurants. Overall, we had a good time, but I would choose a different cabin next time.

The house is so beautiful. Everything was nice and clean. Our family of 12 had a wonderful time. The house is roomy. Stocked with everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this house to everyone.

Only issue was there is an alarm that went off on Monday and Wednesday nights at 9. Sounded like the noise that goes off when you lock the front door. It would be good to know what that is.

The Best Mountain Vacation!
The house is perfect in every way. The view is better than I could ever explain. The house has everything my wife and I needed for a very relaxing week. We were able to forget about normal life for a change. All the amenities are wonderful. We took enough food for the week and never left the house. There are instruction books for everything such as TV operation, hot tub operation, fireplace, etc. This was awesome and made it so easy. I have no negatives for this property. We are already going to book for later this year and again next year.

Incredible Views
This spectacular cabin had incredible views in a private secluded setting. We hosted a Memorial Day family and birthday celebration and it was perfect! Communication with the rental company was great. Kitchen fully stocked, very clean, hot tub was perfect. Thank you for helping us create memories for a lifetime!

Great Location and Awesome Cabin!
This was an overall excellent stay, there some quirks with the cabin that we found a little interesting like the trash situation, but overall no complaints with this cabin. It has a great layout, plenty to do, and an amazing view. We brought our dogs and they also loved the property! We had some delays in contacting on the day of check in, but this is likely due to the volume of business the properties owners had during this weekend. Aside from the slight delays the team was helpful and responsive. Do yourself a favor and go ahead and book this one while you can!

We loved this cabin! The views are just spectacular!! Cabin is super spacious and comfy. Had everything we needed, kitchen is well stocked. The kids enjoyed their own space downstairs. We fell in love with this area, will definitely come back!!

Ski weekend
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Buena Vista, and it truly is a "good view"! 3 families, room for everyone. House was as advertised except the fireplace wouldn't work. In all fairness, we didn't speak with the management company about it so they didn't have an opportunity to "make it right". Kitchen and laundry both fully functional and plenty of room for multiple chefs! Beds were comfy and well made up. Management company personnel were friendly, it was just difficult to get in touch with them. Always a lengthy delay to speak with someone. You can leave a message, but it took quite some time to hear back from them. Kids (9-15) enjoyed the lower level as their own hangout and adults hung out upstairs - perfect!!! We'll certainly be back!

This home was wonderful! The rooms were great and the beds were cozy. They had so many snuggly blankets to keep warm. The appliances are high end and worked great. Very clean. The kids all enjoyed playing downstairs while the adults stayed upstairs. It was a great set up. A couple things to note:There was a slight cigarette smell in the upstairs King master room. If you do not have four wheel drive in the winter get chains. We do have four wheel drive but our friends did not so we had to leave his vehicle elsewhere. And even with four wheel drive it was tricky. Overall a beautiful spot that we have already recommended to people!

Just an amazing venue! Will book again! Wifi was great, many of us worked from the house! Close to many activities. It SNOWED all weekend. A few comments: wish the house had baking sheets but other than that all the necessities were present. We also wished the house provided sleds, snow shoes etc. The hill is great for sledding!

Great stay
The most idyllic view of the NC mountains. We had the good fortune of snowy weather. Although the house has the rustic feel of a cabin, we took advantage of the luxury home and setting. The pool table and video games prompted indoor fun, while the outdoors provided wonderful snow sledding conditions. We had a great time, hope to stay again soon.

Banner elk received new appliances
our first few days at the Banner Elk cabin were wonderful. Halfway through our stay though, new appliances were delivered, which we did agree would be acceptable and were compensated for this. Unfortunately the new oven was an induction oven so only two of the pans available would work with this new oven. We still weren't too concerned and drive into town and got some pizzas half baked thinking we would finish cooking them at the cabin so they would be warm. Unfortunately we had to heat the oven for an hour to burn off the chemicals in it. This caused the baby to choke and we again had to leave the cabin. At this point we just packed up and left in the morning, before the end of our week. I'm sure this has all been remedied for the next rentals, and any future visits would be wonderful.

Stunning view, well appointed home
We booked Buena Vista for a last minute get away. The actual view is even better than the pictures online. The home is very comfortable and spacious and remote enough to feel private yet not a far drive from Banner Elk. The kitchen had everything we needed (except the kettle which had seen better days). The home was very clean and well maintained.
We may book again for next year and go earlier to enjoy the peak of autumn foliage. We went Nov 1 which was well past the peak yet the views were still outstanding. Highly recommend for any time of year.

Views are INCREDIBLE! What an amazing spot!
The pictures just cannot compare to what this actually looks like in real life. We were BLOWN AWAY by the layered mountain views through the huge glass windows. It looks like a painting! Every time we walked through the front door and saw the view, we couldn't help but smile with how beautiful it is.
This house is at the top of the mountain - so it's very private, peaceful, and quiet, but still only 7 minutes to Banner Elk and restaurants and stores. The kids loved the hot tub and the pool table and the board games that were provided. There was TONS of space for everyone. Even our 1 year old baby, who normally needs constant attention, sat in the pack and play by the windows playing with his toys and looking out the window for hours without making a peep!
The house was also well appointed with TV's in every room and a beautiful kitchen with everything we needed. The private decks were great and the property has fiber optic internet and TV, which was awesome since we work remote!
We will DEFINITELY be coming back to Buena Vista again!

Nice Cabin
Cabin was very extremely nice and a good size with plenty to keep everyone entertained - but it could have been a little cleaner when we arrived (crumbs on the floor under the table/bottle caps on the floor/floor was sticky in some areas as it appeared something was spilled and not cleaned up). I will have to say that the folks at the rental agency are fantastic though. They go above and beyond to make sure that everything is taken care of and that you are satisfied. I would highly recommend booking a cabin through Carolina Cabin Rentals.

Hot tub would not heat.
The hot tub was old and would not heat. I was told I would be compensated for no hot tub, however that has still not happened a week later. 200 dollars was supposed to go back to my account. Disappointing.

Was a great place to stay, wonderful views, pet friendly, loved the trails, hot tub, and pool table. Was very clean and well kept, we enjoyed our stay and will be booking again in the future. Also really loved the remote feel while still being just a few minutes from banner elk and sugar mountain.
