The property itself is amazing. Well maintained and litterally beautiful, the old interior part is gorgeous with a very pittoresque garden. Breakfast and spa area are great. Pool is quite warm and well managed in terms of maximum guests.
Extra beds for kids are not comfortable at all, kids were constantly complaning it was painful to sleep on. Food is not really great during the diner time, not so many favours. Wine selection to reconsider, could be wider choice for glass selection.

hotel was beautiful and impressive - gardens stunning and a lovely surprise - staff were excellent and a real asset . Hotel very dog friendly and dog was welcomed by all staff ..Room was large well equipped and very comfortable with excellent decor . Toiletries were lovely . Lovely bathroom /towels etc Would come again and recommend to all my friends
Bar menu was a little limited . Room was too warm which would be great in the winter but it wasn't easy to cool it down apart from having sash window wide open which was a bit of a worry - intruder wise..Dog room rate was comparatively expensive (£30 per dog per night ) and policy was only one dog per room so had to leave my other little dog at home and as she is so small i think she wouldnt have made much difference .Room for dog was on first floor and quite a long way from exit which meant I had to walk a long way through the hotel to take dog out last thing and early morning . ( however I didnt ask for a change of room or specify this when I booked so this may have been an option as staff were were very helpful )

Impressive country estate hotel, beautiful grounds, lovely surrounding area for walks & exploring nature. Room was spacious & comfortable, delicious champagne truffles left in the room on arrival was a lovely touch. Breakfast was plentiful in choice and very tasty. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Have already recommended to my family and friends and would come back and stay again.
Everything was amazing.

Lovely grounds- family room had lots of space
We ate on Friday night and Saturday night and the portions were not the same, nor the quality! There was no manager anywhere either. Spoke to reception at check out and they helped but we were all very disappointed. :(

The hotel location. The grounds and spaces to relax. The staff were very helpful.
Everything good. The single beds were to soft and low. Phones in room. Cannot hear, just lot's of crackling. Could be a emergency.

Breakfast was amazing. The pool and gym facilities were good and the rooms very comfortable. It had a lovely relaxed feel to the place.
Our person who checked us in could have been more welcoming that being said the next day the front desk staff were very friendly.

Liked that it had a pool and the grounds were lovely . Also breakfast was good
Room was dated and no air conditioning, rooms were uncomfortably hot . Dated dining room and dinner was not great. Overpriced for what it was . Pool also closes at certain times for children and booked it for
The pool

The building and setting were beautiful, all staff that we interacted with were friendly and helpful.
I felt the pool changing rooms were extremely tired, the ladies shower was so grim that I ended up showering in my room. The Lino flooring was cracked and lifting, a large chunk was missing around the shower drain and looked very dirty. Not what I would have expected compared to the rest of the hotel.

The decor in the reception was nice and the space is great. The gardens at the back on the hotel are great for the kids to explore. They loved the Easter treasure hunt
The leisure facilities felt very dated. There was flaking paint in the steam room. Jacuzzi not working and the general decor in the changing rooms and “the club” is quite old in comparison to the rest of the hotel.

It’s a large hotel, lots of space, with big dining area. The rooms were spacious, clean bathroom and the grounds were scenic.
The staff were alright but weren’t that courteous when complaining about not having a garden view. We booked a ‘garden view’ but it wasn’t, while it was just a view looking out at a trail down the side of the house.
The bedroom could have been cleaner generally, and updated the interior decor. Also the sausages at breakfast were just awful..

The property was located very privately from the road and the grounds were beautiful
There wasn’t anything that was practically bad about the property, but the only thing that was annoying was there was a wedding going on at the property and we was unsure if we’re we were able to go to have drinks or sit outside due to wedding guests being in the same area

The staff were incredibly helpful, professional and friendly. The grounds were stunning and it was great that with a newborn we were able to use the swimming pool.
The food at dinner was a bit of a letdown

The toilet facilities are too far from the bar and restaurant

The wedding venue was perfect and the staff during the wedding were exceptional.
The staff (not the wedding staff) were abrupt and rude and threatened to throw the brides brother out for complaining that his drink order was wrong!! He was told tough luck thats what you're getting.

The English breakfast was excellent.
The fact that the swimming pool wasn’t usable.

The main building is stunning and staff are friendly and helpful
The rooms are small, faculties in the rooms are cramped (especially bathrooms, very poor) it certainly didn’t represent a £200 stay, we also ordered a bottle of Prosecco never expecting it to cost £40, had that been communicated we would have chosen other drinks

Grounds and building very beautiful
Hall way carpets are a little tired looking

Very comfortable stay and extremely flexible and helpful staff (I had to check out a day early and they were very accommodating).
Would have been good to have had a mini-bar in the room.

Really lovely friendly staff and beautiful property and grounds.
Room was really dark decor in need of refurbishment/refresh. Didn't feel like a country house hotel vibe in the room. Utilitarian small bathroom, scratchy towels and loo roll. TV remote battery not working, bottle of water seal opened, empty hand soap by sink, hoovering patchy - could see masses of dust under the bed ... Bed was smaller than the fitted alcove - must have downsized them at some point- so couldn't reach the 'bedside' light switch to turn off from bed. Very disappointing.
Worse than all of that - when my friend and I came down to dinner - there was a big corporate event dominating the dining room with numbered formal tables which was quite bizarre with only 3 or 4 tables of normal weekender style guests in the rest of the dining room - not a great vibe at all. Felt like we were awkward tag on to someone else's party. Which was made 1000% worse when the corporate party then started making formal speeches and presenting prizes to each other and applauding each other in the middle of our dinner. Staff were kind and took drinks and dessert off the bill but by the manager turned up it was too late. The hotel just shouldn't have allowed the corporate party to use the main restaurant area. They should have been forced to book a private dining area.
Raised most of this on checking out and was told someone would call me to discuss and 6 days later nobody has. Poor customer service.
