The location is fantastic, right in the middle of Duisburg. The station is down the street, Lehmbruck Museum is just around the corner. The room itself is totally fine, albeit with a number of minor issues. Check in was very easy (though be sure to write down your room number and code; mobile data can be an issue in Germany so looking it up on the spot is tricky).

I had some issues with noise from other guests, though I think that was mainly from them being inconsiderate and shouting in the corridors at night; the rooms seem to be more soundproof. There is only one light in the room, and it took me a few minutes to figure out how to turn it on (tap the base; there is no button). There is only one socket in the main room, hidden behind the desk, and if you want to use electricity or the light by the bed you need to unplug the tv so you can move the extension cord. The curtain is too narrow and does not block the whole window, meaning street lights make a sleeping mask necessary. There is no cup or glass, which combined with the bathroom tap being very low makes it hard to drink water or fill a bottle.

They are not accomodating. I called them early morning to check-in but no one answering the phone, i didn't check-in because no one at the reception and answering the phone!!! Waste of money!!! absolutely not recommend to everyone!!!

The shoppingcenter and trainstation were one street away from the hotel. The hotel itself is an old, and rather somber-looking, building. The room I had was small, but it was clean, and the bed was excellent, and well worth the little money I paid for it. There was a tv, with a handfull of channels. It was self-check in: by email I received a code which I had to use to get the key out of one of the little boxes that were placed just outside of the frontdoor.

This hotel is quite run-down. Worn-out carpets, ceiling lightbulb for illumination, shared WC with tiny washbasin and no hooks, a neglected shower that floods. There are modern chain hotels nearby with ensuite for only a few euro more. Frankly this was poor value for money.

A couple next to us,having s.x for hours and the lady screaming during the daylight from 12 to 2.30 pm which I need to knock on the wall to calm down or to stop Pathetic and ridiculous their behaviour

Location was fine, near euro velo 15. The host was very pleasant and helpful and spoke good English. The room was big.

We really wanted somewhere safe to lock the bikes. There used to be locked parking nearby at the station but that has gone. The bathroom was functional but a bit tired. OK really. We had to hunt for breakfast as none available in the hotel.
