The view from this hotel are unbelievable of Lac Lugano. The entire staff at Hotel Europa was excellent and particularly the Manager who recommended a local restaurant, Bistro’ Lurati for our 30th anniversary. It was PERFECT and the best restaurant we experienced in Italy over 17 days.

When I searched on booking.com it showed distance 10km.
After I purchased the booking and received the confirmation it was 35 km away! So I had to drive from Switzerland back to Italy where I had just crossed over earlier.
We drove back to the hotel and the location was fantastic but very poor condition.
We checked Inn and the manager asked us for 10 Euro to park the car overnight which I didn't and parked on the main road.
He keept our passport's overnight which I founded very strange!
The rooms were old , and furniture and bed's very poor condition.
We all have bug bites from the dirty bed's.
When checked out we were asked to pay a city tax!
This was another surprise.
I think booking.com should look at their ratings and don't mislead people because this is a very poor (Hostel)
The location is great but sadly it's dying out, buildings next to the hotel are collapsing.

Hotel is quite old, you hear what is going on in other rooms, you hear people talking, if a neighbor is opening shades, this will surely wake you up...

Amazing hotel directly by Lungo Lago, the facility was amazing. The staff really helpful and they accomodated us in the largest room with a great bathroom as I was travelling with a person on a wheel chair. I can only recommend Hotel Europa to anyone who wants to enjoy beautiful northern part of Italy.

Friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was good and cappuccinos were excellent. It is right on the lake. WiFI worked great.
The single room has only a side angle view of the lake, no balcony and no air condition, very basic room, dated interior. the pool is very small, it looks like no one uses it.

Trying to steal from the change, giving 2 coins of 10 france franks instead of 2 euros is not a great idea. Definitely money not worth the stay

The view fantastic. Room comfortable.
No fridge and dishes in the room. But we asked mister for few dishes, and he solved this.

Location, friendly staff, took the standup paddle boards and had a great family get away!
No a/c, make sure you get a room facing the lake and you’ll be fine, the breeze coming off the Ayer at night was wonderful!
