The owners were so lovely and friendly. The food in the restaurant was amazing. Our room was perfect.

We heard an animal in the roof moving every night. It was a bit scary, but understandable as Monachil is under the mountains. Owners should just check as some of the more scared guests can complain.

The hotel is on the main street of Monachil village, which is a very nice and clean village right next to different trekking trails in Sierra Nevada, so if you're looking to go hiking, I recommend staying there. The hotel has parking right in front of the hotel, a small pool and a restaurant with breakfast and dinner. Staff is helpful and polite and will help you out with everything.

The rooms are quite small and modest. The water pressure was very low.

Miguel and the team made us very welcome. Our room on the second floor was spacious and clean. Breakfast included a range of pastries, bread, sliced meats and cheese, eggs, nuts and more. The restaurant was opened especially for guests while we were there, and the meals were delicious and excellent value. The hotel is located very close to the beginning of walking tracks, including the Los Cahorros trail/circuit. We made use of the pool and terrace after our hike. Monachil offers easy access by car to the Alhambra in Granada, and we noted a bus operated to and from Granada also. A wonderful stay.

What an excellent place and what a restuarant - go there hungry!!!! Could have stayed an extra night but the road trip beckoned!

Ideal location (15 min drive from Granada historical center) in green surroundings, less hot than city and very close to easy trailing road along the Rio (cahorros). Plain and simple stay, very clean.

Not an issue yet car needed to visit Granada. swimming pool is small.

Friendly staff. Good continental breakfast. Large room overlooking the hills. Close to bus stop for bus to Granada - saves driving and paying for parking. Good walks close by. Easy access to mountains. For a 2* hotel it was great.

the whole building was cold when the owner was about the hotel, we were the only people in the hotel and was given a room at the side of the hotel which was on the 2nd floor furthest away from dining room etc. when we could have had a room at the front of the hotel which was south facing and would have been a lot warmer. The owner was miserable and never spoke, food served cold in a cold dining room. No cereal was offered for the first 2 days at breakfast, then we had to ask for milk for the cereal. Bathroom dated no where to put our soap bags? The owner needs to go on a course

Excellent location for outdoor activities in the Sierra Nevada National Park. The owners are super nice and friendly people. Breakfast was simple but fresh with good options. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again.

The village is lovely and only a 30 minute scenic drive to the Ski Resorts. The room, though small, was adequate and the warm air con was really good with an electric bar in the bathroom.

The village did not have anywhere to eat in the evening (Covid!/wrong day/time of year), apps on Google maps were mostly out of date showing places open when they were shut. There was just one cafe bar that opened at 8pm but we did not want to eat there (if there was any food on offer) as there was a gathering of locals standing around, probably because of lack of things to do in the evenings! The hotel restauraunt was also closed. Toilet seat cracked and loose.

perfect base for cycling round Sierra Nevada. Miguel and staff really friendly nice people. good breakfast and large outdoor terrace. big menu. A really great hotel.

It seems to be family operated hotel. The owners were very kind and nice couple. They did whatever we wanted. The hotel has also very good restaurant and is located just near to Los Cahorros route.
