Friendly staff, very good cooked breakfast, and fantastic Sunday roast dinner.

Spiral staircase up to our room was a challenge with all our luggage.

Great location with lot of secure parking. The hotel is very nicely decorated to a high and modern standard and the room are well looked after. Rooms were very spacious and beds were very comfortable.

The staff seems stretched and although friendly appeared stressed. Some rooms are above the bar which on a Friday evening had live music so I can imagine this could cause a problem; luckily my room was not and I couldn't hear a thing.

The location is perfect for visiting our Belper relatives. The hotel is very welcoming.

The price is good but could include the cooked breakfast. The lighting for the dressing table mirror wasn't the best for doing makeup.

Continental breakfast, not much to choose from and if you want a cooked breakfast you have to pay an extra £8.50, this was blamed on covid 🤔

second time I’ve stayed here, room was better (rear if the hotel). my previous room overlooked the courtyard and was very noisy

I’ve so far failed to login to the free Wi-Fi as I’m not a fan of social media and on this occasion missed breakfast as the times are not provided in the rooms.

Lovely hotel room, one of the best I’ve stayed in in ages. We had a super-king size bed! Also loved the continental breakfast.

It was a little noisy, not much soundproofing.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. Our room was furnished to a good standard. The continental breakfast was help yourself with a good choice. You could pay extra for a cooked breakfast. We would return.

The breakfast wasn't very organized at all we sat ourselves down in the area to the side of reception and followed some guests to find the breakfast room. We like continental breakfast but there was no fruit on the table, it had all gone and one piece of meat. We had our cereals first and was going to go back for fruit. There was one toaster for all the guests to use, it did four slices but took forever to toast so people were hanging round waiting. I went for more coffee and both jugs were empty so had to ask for more to be done.. I don't think it's too much to ask that the food that was offered was kept stocked up, it was only fruit and sliced ham and cheese that doesn't take much preparing at all. I didn't manage to get any fruit, only some cheese. I think that more organisation needs to be put into the breakfast. I overheard a guest sat near us that said it was the worst place he had been for breakfast, he did order a hot sandwich of some kind but then I heard him cancel as it was talking too long. What we had was nice but it definitely needs some proper management, it is your last impression of the hotel and it will be memorable for the wrong reasons.

Great hotel, friendly staff. Nice continental breakfast.lots of areas to sit. Inside courtyard, outside courtyard, great bar area, pizzeria and pizza was lovely! Lovely warm croissants for breakfast. Car parking.

Second morning wasn’t offered hot breakfast. Had to ask for croissants, came cold, had to ask to be warmed. Not as attentive as day before. Young girl on so maybe not as experienced but nice and pleasant.
