Staff were excellent, nice pool area and the room was spacious and authentically decorated. Hotel was really peaceful. It was my birthday during our stay and I was presented with a birthday cake which was a lovely surprise.

Breakfast was plentiful however the pastries were limited.

Beautiful small resort with stand alone bungalows. Wonderful big room with huge comfortable bed. Impeccable staff - so friendly and helpful. The resort is a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk from lots of shops/restaurants/cafes. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of variety. Lunch and dinner at the pool bar or main restaurant were both fantastic and reasonably priced. We also enjoyed treatments at the on site spa - again, we couldn't fault the staff or service we received. We would definitely come here again :)

Only one small point - there is a small gym which is sufficient for a basic workout but some of the equipment could do with being updated.

Although you are not far from the main strip of restaurants and shops, it is so peaceful and relaxing. Birds are singing and water is bubbling. As soon as you walk in you sigh and smile. The staff are fabulous as is the food. Can’t wait to go again.

Absolutely nothing extra—I asked for one Nescafé packet for my room and I was promptly dismissed. their driver wanted to overcharge for a ride to the bus terminal which I declined on principal so I waited on principal at the local bus stop (not a terminal) for an overage of time!

the place is loaded with musketoes and the beach in closest proximity to the hotel is terrible. all in all i Would not recommend staying at this hotel

- near the beach and shops - the resort looks really nice: the garden, the pool, the restaurant - the staff is friendly and helpful

- we stayed in different 2 rooms and we can conclude: - the rooms need some refreshment, the walls were dirty in some places - rooms cleaning need improvements, the pillows smelled ( but they were nice and changed them)

Great thai style atmothphere

nice old world quality, beautiful gardens, doesn’t feel big even though there are 77 rooms as there is so much space and privacy. Nice bird life in the gardens, one afternoon a large lizard (about 1.5-2m long) wandered through the garden. spa massage treatment is excellent, best ever. nice breakfast, good buffet dinner and also within easy reach of other food options if you want a change. beach is very nice , swimming pool is spotlessly clean.

If I really had to be picky, the pastries at breakfast are not quite cooked enough. But there is so much else to choose from.

Large bungalow was superb

No decent beach bars nearby. We had to travel 20 minutes on a hired motorbike to reach a good beach with sunbeds and facilities.

Meow and the team made my stay at Khaolak Bhandari amazing. The service was exemplary throughout the stay. The rooms were really big and immaculately clean. Breakfast was very good as well.

The main bar and the main restaurant were a bit lifeless. I'd suggest keeping the pool bar open later than 6pm to give people the option to eat and drink there as it's actually a nicer location within the resort.

Beautiful hotel, amazing staff and near to the beach only a 1 min walk. The food at the hotel is good the breakfast ok if you like thai-food. Do not expect only western food, we are in Asia, you will get all sorts of things - enjoy! If you are booking a room with a pool terrace you will be guided to the adult wing with your own entrance to it and no children or what so ever. Good thing to relax! The staff is simply amazing! The front desk can help you with a taxi, or whatever you need and the housekeeping is amazing. everyone is here so that you can have a good, relaxing vacation. Try the fresh coconut or one of the smoothies, they are so delicious. Enjoy your stay and thanks Bhandari for a lovely time at your hotel!

the only thing I did not like were the pillows. One is too hard and the other one not soft enough. Could be better!

This place is a quite gem. Traditional Thai style with beautiful tranquil grounds nice pool.. Great spacious rooms comfy beds., breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff very friendly and helpful

We did have a bit of a problem with Ants in our bathroom & room. Bad lighting in the bathroom. Broken safe
