The room was ok, except for a leaking sink waste. I had to be moved to another room. The second room was ok. The bed and the shower were good and the room was generally clean. Also, tea and coffee making facilities were provided. The boxed breakfast was as expected and no complaints there.
Overall maintenance was unsatisfactory. Apart from my room one experience, I reported stains in the bathroom around the toilet cistern and around the bath handles. I omitted to report a cracked bath panel. This was a special access room too, so all the more concerning to see these issues. There was an unfortunate incident in the main corridor where someone had managed to bring animal faeces in on their shoes in the evening. After I reported this, it was cleaned up but residue was still on the carpet the next morning! Was there a lack of cleaning materials for the night manager? The overall feeling is that the minimum will do.

Fire alarm going off late at night we had to evacuate due to someone smoking in there room fire brigade turned up staff reset the alarm system without even knowing what part of the building set it off the fire brigade was not happy about this as it put peoples lives at risk! Also not enough towels
In the rooms only catered for one person even though we booked a couples room will not be coming back

Staff on reception helpful and friendly. Room was basic but clean. Location food. Bed was comfortable.
The air conditioning leaked, had to put towels in the floor because of water dripping and the noise was annoying. Had to turn it off in the end.

How the heating is never working. My room wasn’t cleaned. when I questioned this with reception, it felt like they didn’t care. I just got a reply, that my notice must have fallen off my door handle.

The location to the services was useful
Everything else could have been better. The reception staff were slow and not particularly helpful. At one point there was even a customer shouting at a cleaner because there was nobody on reception, it was mental. The room we originally got (bearing in mind we booked a family room and stated we had an infant) was on the first floor with no lift access. We then got moved onto the ground floor in what was supposed to be a non smoking room that reeked of stale smoke. Seriously, this can't have been missed by staff unless they know what goes on and don't care. The hallways stank of dog and there were dogs everywhere. I get that it's a pet friendly hotel, but so are many others and I've never seen that many dogs just wandering around. Seriously! Was there a dog show nearby that weekend? For the price of the room we were digusted, so much so that we cancelled our reservation for the journey back in 2 days time and booked in at the travelodge up the road which is much more basic but cleaner, nicer rooms with staff that are friendly and helpful!

it’s a great location
there was no one ever on reception. I stayed for a few days and only asked for the room to be cleaned once. I was disappointed I didn’t get clean cups
