Lovely spacious room and bathroom. Huge corner bath and separate roomy shower. Great wifi reception. Free parking. The food was fantastic at breakfast and dinner. Beautiful views. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Nothing but worth mentioning that anyone with mobility problems may have difficulty walking the steep exit from the car park.

Lovely room, recently decorated I would think. Good restaurant although we thought the menu was a little restricted. Staff were excellent. Very quiet. Would recommend and would stay here again.

What's not to like ? We were very impressed.

From the moment we arrived, we were made welcome. The staff were friendly and helpful, our room (room 10) was very nice - everything was clean, bright, with a river view from the bedroom and bathroom windows. We liked having the tea making facilities in the room and the toiletries were nice too. Breakfast choices were good. We had dinner in the restaurant on the evening of our arrival and we were glad we did - the menu was varied, the food was fresh, well presented and very good. The restaurant and terrace areas are lovely and really add to the overall experience of this hotel - having breakfast in the early morning light, sitting watching the sun set over the river while enjoying a glass of wine and dinner, having a coffee in the sunshine on the terrace - the whole experience was one of relaxed enjoyment. We would definitely recommend it and are looking forward to an opportunity to go again.

The only thing - the safe in our room did not work.

Staff were efficient and friendly. Attractive bedrooms and good bathrooms.

My vegetarian pasta was dull and eggs Benedict had far too much butter, soaking the muffins.

Good sized room. Comfortable bed and good sized ensuite room with a very good shower. Nice view of the river from the riverside dining room. We a had a comfortable stay. Good service, pleasant staff.

No complaints, but a little jaded in places.

Dinner and breakfast great

Room nice but I'm 6' so low beams and slanted ceimng above loo in bathroom 'challenging' plus bed was small.

We had already booked Sunday lunch with brother and sister in law and were able to check in early. The room was quirky being on 2nd floor, with roof beams. The bed was very comfortable and hot water was readily available in the bathroom. the room was warm and we were able to control temperature easily. Staff are very cheerful and helpful. Breakfast was good and the cooked elements very tasty. The location was great for walks along Waveney and for access to the town centre.

Nothing really, apart from having to duck under the low angled roof beam to open the windows. It proved perfect for our needs for a 2 night stay

breakfast although had the same on both days and items varied in quantity

go away for a break from everyday chores - however no room service unless requested. used towels had to be put in bags and then placed into a plastic box and left outside room, if you need top up coffee or tea bags you had to ask. If this is for covid then other areas where you are in contact with hotel staff there is no protection. more a cost saving exercise than covid protection. bar closed at 10pm room not deluxe scuff marks on the wall, mould on external plinth of the shower cubicle

Only problem was the shower in the bath. No standing shower. One had to crouch into the bath to use it: very uncomfortable and impractical. Plus no shower curtain, and water splashed everywhere.

Breakfast was very good with excellent service. Restaurant offered a reasonable choice and it was of good quality and value for money. Good wine choices too. Service was efficient and friendly.

Would have preferred a shower. The hand held one in our bathroom was good but not easy to use.
