The relaxing experience of my previous many visits, no longer possible in the very soulless “sports bar”. Design. Poor unhealthy choice of food. Badly cooked!! No quiet space to relax after a long day

Reception was open and friendly. Staff was helpful and very engaging. We had food at the restaurant and had a couple of drinks, atmosphere was relax and felt completely safe and comfortable. Rooms was clean and décor was homely. Bed was so comfy and very big! Excellent cannot fault it in any way!

Good location close to motorway. Rooms spacious. Staff helpful. Good quality breakfast.

No AC in rooms, uncomfortable during summer. No plug points near bedside. Only one lift. Long walk to rooms at end of corridor.

So many facilities, food choices. Did actually assist on where a lady has an awful bang to her head

Breakfast was great large selection friendly helpful staff. Gym was an added bonus. Beds could of been more comfortable but all In all a good stay also great lively bar and good music

Extremely disappointed I booked my stay on 6th May fir one night , through out the night I could hear banging and group of others staying running up and down the corridor. Getting in contact with the staff was very difficult when finally I did get through and complained this did stop the noise. I had to get out of my bed to go down stairs at 1.30 to un help staff and I was promised half of my money back my night duty manager . On 7th May when I checked out I was promised that I should get my refund within 5 working days till date no refund has come my account . I contacted booking.com as the booking was through them they also tried only to get declined so disappointed that Village hotel lies to its customers. Please if you have a issue get it in writing or record the conversation as they only lie . Will never recommend anyone .. door are so noisy you can hear people walking floor above worse sleep I ever had after paying £138 for the night better to sleep In my car

Staff need to stop chatting when customer walk in and instead pay intention to their customers!
